Chapter 1131: Chapter 1133: Sophie Sullivan, Do You Even Have a Heart?

The bedroom door flew open with a bang.

Leaning on the sofa, one hand scratching Harry, Sophie Sullivan jumped in fright. "Thomas Shannon, didn’t you go to the company? Why did you come back again?"

She looked puzzled, watching Thomas Shannon with a dark facial color closing in on her. Harry seemed to sense the master’s anger; it jumped out of Sophie Sullivan’s embrace and bolted out in a flash.

"Thomas Shannon, you..."

The next second, Thomas Shannon grabbed her collar and yanked her up. The man’s gloomy eyes bore down on her, pressing in. "Sophie Sullivan, do you even have a heart?"

Since she had already seen Thomas Shannon lose his mind, at this very moment, seeing him like this, Sophie Sullivan was no longer surprised.

Assuming he was angry again, she pried at his hand with one hand and rubbed her neck that had been choked red by the collar. "What’s wrong with you now? Why are you always so moody?"

"Answer me!" the man roared hoarsely.

Sophie Sullivan’s whole body trembled. Her eyes looked at him faintly. What on earth was wrong with him?

Thomas Shannon clamped one hand around her neck, his thin lips hooking into a bloodthirsty sneer. "Sophie Sullivan, you don’t have a heart at all!"

All my kindness to you, and what did I get in return?

In return I got you trying to run away time and time again, trying every trick in the book to deceive me time and time again!

Thomas Shannon’s disappointment hit the extreme. In the depths of his eyes there was nothing but ruthless ferocity; his eyes, stained with bloodshot from that savagery, looked all the more terrifying and monstrous.

Sophie Sullivan didn’t know what she could still say, even less whether he would actually strangle her to death. The oxygen she could draw in grew less and less.

She covered the back of his hand with both hands and tried to pry it off. His fingers were like an overbearing iron clamp; even using all her strength, she couldn’t pry them open.

Her facial color gradually flushed red, then slowly turned bluish purple...

A second before suffocating, the force on her neck suddenly loosened.

Her body went limp and collapsed onto the sofa.

Sprawled on the sofa in a wretched heap, she coughed and gasped with difficulty...

"Cough, cough..."

Thomas Shannon stood high above, like a king looking down on the world, staring at the humble, bedraggled her. Sophie Sullivan panted for quite a while before finally catching her breath.

Just as she lifted her head, what she saw was Thomas Shannon’s resolute back.

And that one word, filled with utmost disgust: "Get out!"

Sophie Sullivan’s brain went blank. Before she’d figured out what had happened, footsteps soon approached.

Charlie River brought a man in black, his expression blank as he came to stand before her. "Sophie Sullivan, it’s time for you to go."

Go?

Go where?

Sophie Sullivan gradually sat up from on sofa. The men in black stepped forward without giving her a chance to argue, one on each side, seizing her and dragging her out.

"Charlie River, what does Thomas Shannon mean by this?"

Charlie River sneered with ridicule. "Exactly what it sounds like. The Young Master wants you to roll out of the manor immediately."

"..."

"Sophie Sullivan, isn’t this what you’ve always wanted?"

Sophie Sullivan was shoved in the car. The men in black drove the car to the heavily guarded gate of the manor. The car stopped, and Sophie Sullivan was led down from in the car by the men in black and given a push outside the door.

"Miss Cecilia Branford, are you all right?"

Derek Clark, who had long ago been waiting at the doorway, saw the scene in front of him and immediately rushed up to support Sophie Sullivan.

The guards also came up at the same time, taking up protective positions around Sophie Sullivan.

Charlie River, taking the men in black with him, had already gone back.

Sophie Sullivan’s gaze flickered. Thomas Shannon had found out about her telephone call to Derek Clark, asking Derek Clark to find a way to take her away.

That word "get out" from him—did it mean there was nothing more between them?

"Miss Cecilia Branford, are you all right?"
