Chapter 1077: Chapter 1079: Who’s on the Phone?

Bread can be made into various lifelike human organs, specially for special hobbyists to consume.

The human head she saw in the toilet was a human head made of bread.

At night, it’s realistic enough to be mistaken for real.

After she and Lucifer left, Leo quickly cleaned the scene with the guards, so only the imposter saw that scene, making her believe it even more.

When everyone denies it, everything she saw with her own eyes will become the most terrifying existence.

In the following days, the imposter was overly frightened, quieted down, and stayed inside the Onassis Old Castle, not stepping outside.

Sophie Sullivan felt extremely bored. The imposter is so easily played with that she can’t even find a target.

Staying at Lucifer’s manor, the Duchess felt so sorry for her, trying every day to nourish her body.

It seemed like she wanted to make up for all the hardships she endured over the past year.

Duke Charles asked her if she had any plans, and Sophie said there was no rush. Her memory hadn’t fully recovered, piecing together intermittently.

Currently still taking the medicine Angus prescribed for her, she hopes to remember completely and catch the culprit in one fell swoop.

Duke Charles respected her choice, sighing, "Cecilia Branford, you’ve suffered."

"Uncle Charles, this was a calamity in my life, and I’ve already gotten past it."

Duke Charles was taken aback, then smiled comfortingly, "Our Cecilia has grown up."

Hearing such insightful words from her was indeed quite rare. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"Dear, do you want to go swimming?" Lucifer came downstairs with Gaby, smiling at her.

Sophie instinctively wanted to agree, but then hesitated, thinking about the tattoo on her chest, she swallowed back the words on her tongue, "No, I’m tired, I’ll go upstairs and rest first."

"What a pity." Lucifer patted Gaby’s head, "Gaby, looks like it’s just the two of us."

Gaby howled and ran wildly outside.

Lucifer shook his head in a half-crying, half-laughing way and followed.

Sophie returned to the bedroom, and after closing the door, the more she thought about it, the angrier she got. She took out her mobile phone and called Thomas Shannon.

"Hello." The man’s deep voice carried endless indifference.

Sophie took a deep breath, clenching her teeth, "Thomas Shannon, shouldn’t you give me an explanation?"

Drugged her, tattooed a disgraceful tattoo on her, and then disappeared.

He managed to escape, but who will help her vent her anger?

Thomas Shannon found it laughable, his voice growing even colder, "What kind of explanation should I give you? Sophie... or should I call you Cecilia now? You asked me to find a doctor to fix your face, agreed to my request, and now that your appearance is restored, you’re trying to backtrack?"

"I agreed to fulfill one request of yours, but I didn’t say that request would be a tattoo!"

"But neither did it say it wouldn’t be a tattoo."

Thomas Shannon’s offhand remark provoked Sophie so much that she kicked the sofa, only to hurt her own toes.

She gasped in pain, bending down.

On the other end of the phone, a cautious female voice came through: "Brother Shannon, what’s wrong?"

Sophie was taken aback, "Who is talking?"

However, the female voice vanished, and Thomas Shannon’s impatient voice sounded, "Anything else? If not, I’m hanging up."

"Thomas Shannon, you haven’t said..."

"Beep beep beep..."
