Chapter 92: Chapter 92 Cut The Tree

While Oliver and Nanya’s group fought fiercely on the front lines, Flora remained at the rear area yawning lazily. She casually swung her whip toward the approaching Brumegroves, and every single strike effortlessly brought the monsters down.

"You’re so strong, Flora! With your strength, you could easily become a top hunter." Brie said in admiration.

"Hmmm... is that so? Thank you for the compliment. As a reward for praising me, how about the three of you try fighting a monster yourselves? I’ll leave one for you." Flora said playfully while stepping aside as a Brumegrove slowly approached them.

"A-Are you joking, Flora? You want only the three of us to defeat that thing?" Travers asked nervously.

"Don’t worry. That monster isn’t as strong as before anymore." Flora replied casually.

After hearing that, Rusti immediately raised his giant mandible-like arm and charged forward fearlessly. He rolled sideways to evade the Brumegrove’s attack before striking directly at one of its legs.

THUMP!!

The leg was sliced cleanly apart. The giant monster collapsed sideways, and Rusti immediately followed up by delivering a finishing strike directly into its chest.

"Wow, Rusti! You were amazing!" Brie and Travers praised excitedly.

"No, it wasn’t. Just like she said, the monster was actually weak." Rusti replied while looking unsatisfied with the victory.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Nanya also began noticing the change. Her attacks could now defeat the Brumegroves far more easily without requiring much effort. Suddenly, realization struck her.

"Everyone! Calm down! These monsters are fragile! It must be because the boss is continuously summoning them! Think properly and strike their weak points!" Nanya shouted toward her students.

The three academy students quickly nodded and regained their composure. After that, they began defeating the Brumegroves much more easily.

Oliver was currently moving rapidly from tree to tree while skillfully using threads to pull himself through the forest and circle around Brumetitan.

"So this is how it actually feels to become Spider Man. This is so cool!" Oliver laughed excitedly while evading trees thrown toward him by the boss.

As Brumetitan focused its attention on Oliver above the trees, Queen suddenly arrived from the side and slammed directly into the boss, causing it to stumble backward and crash into nearby trees.

Immediately afterward, Queen used Silk Restraint and immobilized the boss completely within layers of thick webbing.

"You don’t want to eat it, Queen?" Oliver joked while landing lightly onto the ground.

"I hate vegetables. They taste disgusting." Queen sneered in disgust.

"Hahaha! You’re such a picky eater," Oliver laughed. Then, his eyes narrowed slightly after noticing something important. Brumetitan’s size had actually shrunk from nearly five meters tall earlier to only around three meters tall now.

"It must be because of that nonstop summoning skill. Now then... let’s finish this." Oliver stepped onto the restrained boss’s body before repeatedly stabbing it multiple times with his dagger.

"GRAARR!! GRAAAARR!!"

Brumetitan screamed painfully, but Oliver completely ignored its cries and continued attacking mercilessly. Soon, Brumetitan’s HP dropped below 5% and entered the red zone.

Oliver stopped stabbing the boss before falling into deep thought.

"Should I tame it, or just kill it? Hmmm..." He rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"If I tame it, I’ll obtain a mutated Rank S monster. That would boost my strength tremendously. But the downside is, everyone here would immediately notice it and become suspicious of me."

"And besides, I only have one active monster slot left. I want to save that slot for an even more powerful monster in the future. Alright! I’ve decided!"

Oliver raised his hand high before thrusting his dagger repeatedly into the boss one final time. Soon, Brumetitan’s body dissolved into the ground completely.

[You successfully defeated Boss monster, Brumetitan (Mutated), for the first time!]

"Nice! A pair of gloves. And it boosts my attack by quite a lot too. Good, good!" Oliver smiled in satisfaction while looking over the rewards. Overall, he was very pleased with what he obtained. Afterward, he recalled Queen and reverted back to his normal form.

Several Spirit Cores dropped from the defeated boss. Oliver glanced toward the cores before noticing Ovan and the others staring at them eagerly, clearly unable to wait any longer.

Without hesitation, Oliver simply turned around and walked toward Nanya’s group.

"The Spirit Cores over there, I’ll leave them to all of you." The moment they heard that, Ovan and the others immediately rushed toward the loot excitedly.

"Are you really sure about this? Don’t you want to use them for your own monsters?" Nanya asked in surprise.

"It’s fine. I don’t really need them." Oliver replied casually while continuing to walk away.

However, Nanya suddenly stopped him.

"May I know your name? My name is Nanya. I’m a Master Tamer and also a teacher from the Academy of Coligny."

"My name is Oliver... from Ashville Town."

"Ashville, huh? So you’re the one they said is among the brightest talents within this barony. I honestly never expected to meet you here." Nanya said while looking at him with interest.

"You know about me?" Oliver asked in surprise.

"Not in detail. But every academy has its own scouts whose job is to search for talented individuals and recruit them into their academy. One of our scouts actually found you before and witnessed you fighting personally."

"You’re currently considered one of the top candidates for our next academy intake." Nanya explained.

"Is that so?! It honestly feels really good to hear that the academy is monitoring me." Oliver replied honestly.

’It seems my name has already started spreading throughout the local region. Honestly, it feels pretty great to be famous.’ Oliver chuckled inwardly.

"If you decide to enter our academy, just come and apply directly. You’ll be welcomed there." Nanya said with a smile.

Soon afterward, she said goodbye before immediately turning around and scolding her students for ignoring her earlier orders.

’She’s really strong. She didn’t even summon her monster throughout the entire battle. It seems Master Tamers truly exist on a completely different level.’ Oliver thought while smiling slightly.

Afterward, he regrouped with Travers’ group, who had practically done nothing during the battle. However, unknown to Oliver, the things they witnessed today had ignited a new motivation deep within their hearts.

A motivation that would eventually shape their future growth.
