Chapter 246: Chapter 235: Belly Swollen High

The Martial Arts Seventh Layer expert who had spoken was tall and thin. A sharp glint flashed in his eyes, revealing him to be an extremely shrewd man. It was this shrewdness that led him to notice Zhaang Ye’s departure and order him to stop.

Zhaang Ye sneered, completely ignoring the man’s command as he pushed his Cloud Stepping Technique to its limit.

The tall, thin Martial Artist’s gaze turned cold as he shouted, "Kid, I told you to stop, and you dare try to run! Your Body Technique is just a measly Mid-Level Body Technique. Do you really think you can get away?"

As he spoke, his figure blurred and shot forward like an arrow. He was using an Advanced Body Technique, and his speed easily broke the sound barrier. Zhaang Ye had only covered a couple of miles before the man overtook him.

The tall, thin Martial Artist landed in front of Zhaang Ye, his withered right hand reaching out to grab him. "Kid, come back with me nice and easy! If you behave, I might even let you live."

Watching the large hand reach for him, Zhaang Ye’s eyes narrowed slightly as a hint of killing intent surfaced within him.

The Da Ling Kingdom True Hall and the Wei Kingdom True Hall were powers of the same caliber, both boasting numerous experts, and Zhaang Ye was very reluctant to clash with them. He knew that fighting Lingruo Sea and his two companions would bring him immense trouble.

It was with this in mind that Zhaang Ye had repeatedly tolerated them, hoping to avoid further conflict. But he never imagined that by not flexing his muscle, they would take him for a complete pushover!

’Since conflict is unavoidable, then bring it on!’

A ruthless look appeared in Zhaang Ye’s eyes.

BOOM!

Zhaang Ye’s Body Technique couldn’t break the sound barrier, but the speed of his strikes had long since surpassed it. The moment the tall, thin Martial Artist’s right hand extended, Zhaang Ye formed a Hand Blade and slashed down!

The tall, thin Martial Artist’s expression changed instantly when he saw Zhaang Ye’s slash. Seeing that Zhaang Ye’s Cultivation was only at the Martial Arts Fifth Layer, he had inevitably underestimated him. His grab had been casual, using less than twenty percent of his True Qi.

He had never imagined Zhaang Ye’s combat power would be so much greater than his Cultivation level suggested. This slash was as fast as lightning, as swift as a meteor—even an expert at the Sixth Layer Peak would be hard-pressed to match it!

’I’ve been tricked!’ A chill shot through the tall, thin Martial Artist. The True Qi in his body erupted as he flattened his grabbing claw back into a palm to block Zhaang Ye’s slash head-on.

CRACK!

Zhaang Ye’s Hand Blade struck the tall, thin Martial Artist’s palm like a bolt of lightning. His domineering and sharp Dragon Elephant Power descended like a giant axe, brutally shattering the bones in the man’s hand!

"AHH!"

With the bones in his palm smashed to bits, the tall, thin Martial Artist couldn’t help but let out a pained scream. However, he was a battle-hardened veteran. Without even glancing at his injured right hand, he raised his left palm and slammed it down toward Zhaang Ye’s head!

Now aware of Zhaang Ye’s true might, the tall, thin Martial Artist put ninety percent of his True Qi into this palm strike. Across the short three-foot distance, his hand whipped up a furious wind.

If this palm struck home, Zhaang Ye’s entire head would be crushed!

As the tall, thin Martial Artist struck, Zhaang Ye reacted. He raised his hand, and a fist-sized Tornado materialized out of thin air before his palm. He then thrust his own hand, wreathed in the Tornado, to meet the incoming strike.

HSSSSS—

Before their palms even touched, their corporeal Powerful Qi clashed, emitting a series of rumbles. Amid the booming, the tall, thin Martial Artist felt the True Qi on his palm rapidly vanishing, as if it were being devoured by some invisible beast!

"Ah!" Only then did the tall, thin Martial Artist realize Zhaang Ye was far more terrifying than he had imagined. He roared, True Qi bursting from his palm as he tried to retreat abruptly.

’Trying to run? Not so easy!’ Having been repeatedly provoked, a faint killing intent now stirred in Zhaang Ye’s heart. While he didn’t dare kill this man, he could certainly teach him a painful lesson. Seeing the tall, thin Martial Artist try to retreat, Zhaang Ye gave a cold smirk. His hand suddenly shifted from a palm to a claw, instantly grabbing hold of the man’s hand!

The tall, thin Martial Artist’s right hand was already crippled, and now his left was in Zhaang Ye’s grasp; he was scared witless. He roared and kicked out at Zhaang Ye with both legs.

Zhaang Ye paid his kicks no mind. With a single hand, he jerked, then twisted!

With that one jerk, a terrifying force traveled up the tall, thin Martial Artist’s arm. He felt as if Zhaang Ye was shaking every bone in his body loose. Then, with the twist, his left arm was instantly snapped. The sound of shattering bone and tearing sinew rang out like a string of firecrackers!

After snapping the man’s arm, Zhaang Ye swung him around and viciously slammed him face-first into the marsh. By this point, the tall, thin Martial Artist’s True Qi had completely scattered. Pinned in the mire by Zhaang Ye, he was forced to swallow several mouthfuls of putrid swamp water. The sheer humiliation made him wish he were dead.

Having dealt with the tall, thin Martial Artist in just a few moves, Zhaang Ye was about to leave when a voice shouted from the distance, "You think you can just injure someone and walk away? The world doesn’t work like that!"

As the voice faded, a figure suddenly landed in front of Zhaang Ye, locking onto him with a terrifying aura.

The newcomer was none other than the short-haired middle-aged man. The moment he landed in the marsh, he fixed his gaze on Zhaang Ye and said coldly, "Good, good, good! To think you’re an expert in Body Refining! But you’ve offended our Da Ling Kingdom True Hall. No matter how powerful your Body Refining Technique is, you’re a dead man!"

As he spoke, the short-haired middle-aged man clenched his fists and threw several punches at Zhaang Ye from a distance.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The short-haired middle-aged man had seen Zhaang Ye take down his companion in a mere handful of moves, so he knew his opponent’s strength was extraordinary. Thus, he used his true power from the very start. As he punched, dozens of invisible streams of Qi Force tore through the air, heading straight for Zhaang Ye.

This method of long-range attack was a skill unique to Martial Arts Seventh Layer experts—Binding Qi into Thunder. Each of the dozens of streams of Qi Force the short-haired middle-aged man unleashed was highly condensed and invisible to the naked eye. They were like terrifying bolts of Celestial Thunder; if even one grazed Zhaang Ye, his bones and tendons would be instantly pulverized.

Two years ago, Zhaang Ye would have been instantly defeated by such a technique. Now, however, his strength had increased countlessfold. Seeing the man use the Binding Qi into Thunder skill, Zhaang Ye slashed out with one hand, conjuring a massive Tornado out of thin air.

The moment the short-haired man’s True Qi Thunder touched Zhaang Ye’s Tornado, they detonated. The force of the explosion blasted a huge crater over a hundred feet wide in the marsh, but it failed to harm Zhaang Ye in the slightest.

WHOOSH!

The Dragon Elephant Power within Zhaang Ye’s body was surging, growing more potent by the second. He was itching to end the fight and find a quiet place to cultivate. After neutralizing the man’s True Qi Thunder, the Heavy Saber on his back appeared in his hand. He pointed it forward, and an even larger Tornado materialized, locking onto the short-haired middle-aged man.

’What a bizarre Combat Skill!’ Just as the short-haired man was thinking this, Zhaang Ye counterattacked. The Heavy Saber in his hand flew like a streak of pure black light, shooting straight for him.

The short-haired man’s expression fell. He thought he had already estimated Zhaang Ye’s strength highly, but he never expected him to be this powerful. He had not only effortlessly nullified his True Qi Thunder but could also launch such a bizarre and utterly domineering attack at a moment’s notice.

With no time to think, two golden Short Swords appeared in the short-haired man’s hands. They shot forward, transforming into two streaks of golden light to intercept Zhaang Ye’s Heavy Saber.

BOOM!

Blocking Zhaang Ye’s slash head-on, the short-haired man felt as if he’d been slammed by an Ancient Fierce Beast. Blood gushed from his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. He was sent flying over a thousand feet before crashing heavily into the marsh, looking utterly wretched.

The Saber Technique Zhaang Ye had just used was the Mountain-Breaking Slash. As his Dragon Elephant Skill had advanced, the power of this slash had grown immensely. Even a Mid-stage Seventh Layer expert would suffer greatly trying to block it. This short-haired man’s Cultivation was only at the Early-stage Seventh Layer, and his weapons were light Short Swords. By trying to block the Heavy Saber head-on, he was instantly blasted away and grievously wounded.

PTAH!

The short-haired man struggled up from the marsh and spat out a large mouthful of blood. He stared at Zhaang Ye, his eyes wide with disbelief, and cried out, "How is this possible?! I’m an expert at the Early-stage Seventh Layer! How could I lose to you in a single move?"

Zhaang Ye stared back at the man, a faint smile playing on his lips. "There’s a simple reason you lost to me in one move—it’s because you’re garbage."

"YOU—!" Called garbage by Zhaang Ye, the short-haired man was so overcome with shock and fury that he coughed up three more mouthfuls of blood. He pointed a trembling finger at Zhaang Ye, about to unleash a torrent of curses.

Zhaang Ye just smirked and gave a light stomp. The ground beneath him trembled, and a large glob of mud shot up, forming a long, serpentine shape as it flew straight toward the short-haired man.

The short-haired man was severely injured, and his reactions were sluggish. Zhaang Ye, meanwhile, had imbued the mud with Rotating Power, making it unbelievably fast. In the blink of an eye, with a sharp whistle, the long snake of mud shot straight into the man’s wide-open mouth.

GLUG GLUG GLUG!

The foul-smelling mud spiraled down his gullet. The short-haired man felt as if someone was force-feeding him a pile of shit. The swamp mud, reeking like excrement, rushed down his throat and churned violently in his stomach, causing the qi and blood in his body to roil uncontrollably. The sensation was utterly agonizing.

"URGH—URGH—" The short-haired man desperately tried to close his mouth, but the mud Zhaang Ye had sent was infused with a powerful Rotating Power. Driven by this force, the foul sludge slid down his throat like a slippery snake, completely unstoppable.

WHOOSH! By the time the last of the swamp mud vanished into his mouth, the short-haired man’s stomach was grotesquely swollen, like that of a pregnant woman. (To be continued.
