Chapter 730: Chapter 701: Love in a Parallel Universe [023]

(Bonus Chapter for November votes 11.5/13)

Simon Forrester glanced sideways at Sienna Thorne with a smile, "It was an instinctive action, I didn’t think much at the time."

"Are you someone with a cleanliness obsession?"

He thought for a few seconds and said, "I think I just love cleanliness, rather than having an obsession."

Sienna felt warm inside after hearing that.

Even though she hadn’t known Simon Forrester for long, she noticed his always spotless shoes, clean car interior, how he never smelled of grease when holding her, and from the video, she saw his immaculate home last night; she guessed he was someone with a cleanliness obsession.

Such a person, not only did he not mind that she didn’t flush the toilet after using it, but he also voluntarily entered a small enclosed space with an odor to flush it for her.

He’s really nice.

Sienna was immersed in memories of Simon Forrester’s care for her when suddenly, Simon, who was driving, let out a low chuckle.

She snapped back to reality, thinking he was laughing because he recalled her embarrassment that day, and playfully asked, "Are you laughing at me?"

"No," he curbed his smile, "speaking of that day on the plane, I suddenly thought of something." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

Curious, she asked, "What is it?"

"I had originally bought a train ticket that day to go to Cambridge overnight."

Simon Forrester’s words made Sienna understand.

"So your stay at Bvlgari that day wasn’t just a coincidence, it was because of me?"

"Yes." Simon Forrester smiled, "Because you said you didn’t have friends in London, I was afraid you’d have a stomachache in the middle of the night with no one to take you to the hospital. Seeing that you were fine the whole night and well the next day, I then went to Cambridge."

Sienna regretted it.

If she had known his intention, she would have pretended to be sick on her first night in London! So he would take her to the hospital and care for her all night!

Oh no! What a pity!

Seeing her silent, Simon Forrester glanced at her, one hand on the steering wheel, the other holding her small hand on her thigh, and said with a smile, "Your stomach is quite sensitive, eat less seafood when going out."

She nodded obediently, interlocking her fingers with his, "Okay, I’ll listen to you."

The car got on the overpass, and Sienna saw it heading towards The Sunrise District and asked, "Where are we going?"

"Well," Simon Forrester kept one hand on the steering wheel, "How about having some homemade food at Skylight Gardens?"

"Sure! I love the rose cake at Skylight Gardens!"

"You order the dishes later, just pick what you like."

"Okay."

Just a few conversations, and she was moved again.

She felt that Simon Forrester had a really good temper, always accommodating her, going along with whatever she wanted, never putting her in a difficult position.

She had heard some men, when their girlfriends say they like something to eat, would immediately scold them, saying it’s boring or whatever, just making fun of their girlfriends, arguing with them for fun.

But Simon Forrester wouldn’t do that at all; he appeared particularly gentle. Even when they first met and she cursed him or later when taking care of her while she was almost a stranger as she wasn’t feeling well, or even on their dates over the past two days, he always went along with her, his face always had a smile, never showing any impatience with her.

He’s really wonderful.

Sienna felt like she had found a treasure.

She tightened her grip on Simon Forrester’s hand, rubbing it in her warm, soft palm. As she rubbed, she felt a little restless, lifted his hand, blushing, and kissed the back of it.

The action was very natural.

But she also clearly felt his hand tremble a little, then he reversed and held her hand, his thumb rubbing against her palm.

She slowly turned her head, seeing the beautiful curve of his lips, her heart trembled as well.

She cleared her throat softly, pursed her lips, and looked out the window, not speaking again, feeling the flutter in her heart at this moment.

Later, when the car was waiting at a red light near Gleamgate, Simon Forrester pulled the handbrake, turned sideways, hugged her, held her face, and kissed her on the forehead.

She closed her eyes to receive the kiss falling on her forehead, her eyelashes slightly trembling, her hands slowly encircling his waist...

Until the green light lit up, he reluctantly released her, driving onto Ternion Bridge.

.

Skylight Gardens offers authentic Jadeston home-cooked food; Sienna has been here with her parents many times, so coming to have lunch here with Simon Forrester today felt especially close and refreshing.

They booked a private room with a large view of the lush green lawn, ordered some home-cooked dishes, and Sienna’s favorite rose cake.

The environment of the private room was very intimate, the round table could accommodate at least eight people, and the two sat close together. Worrying Sienna might feel bored, Simon Forrester abandoned his usual habit of not speaking during meals and kept her company by chatting. This felt very much like a young couple living their life together.

Compared to high-rise restaurants with great views, Simon Forrester preferred this kind of cozy, traditional courtyard. He felt the lower the floor, the more down-to-earth it was, but considering his girl was not yet 26 and might long for places like Jadeston Lights’ high-rise restaurants, he specially took her there yesterday, where they could also see the first snow.

Seeing that she was quite happy having food at Skylight Gardens today, he felt reassured, and in the future, when they went out to eat, he wouldn’t have to always consider taking her to trendy, young people’s hangouts.

.

After lunch, as they left the private room, Sienna naturally linked her arm through Simon Forrester’s arm.

Simon Forrester was tall; although she wasn’t short either, wearing flat boots today, nestled beside the nearly two-meter-tall him, they looked quite a match.

The two walked towards the entrance, ready to retrieve the car.

"Jules!"

Suddenly, someone called out.

Simon Forrester stopped walking, and Sienna quickly let go of his hand, turning with him to look at the person approaching.

The person wore a striking maroon suit, sunglasses with blue diamonds hanging from the chest pocket of the suit. As he approached, his eyes lingered on Sienna but did not immediately ask who she was, instead, he asked Simon Forrester, "I heard Mooncrest’s completion is being delayed?"

Simon Forrester nodded lightly, speaking in a calm tone: "The construction party outsourced to smaller subcontractors, one of which had a funding chain issue, hasn’t paid the workers for half a year, causing a strike and extending the construction period."

The person laughed as if he didn’t care about these details, boldly saying, "Douglas Fulton really should thank you! If you weren’t his investor, I’d definitely sue him until he’s penniless and streaking..."

Sienna’s face suddenly turned red, coughing softly, looking elsewhere.

Simon Forrester didn’t seem pleased about the other person mentioning underwear in front of Sienna, coldly stating, "For details and legal matters, talk to Logan Lockwood," and saying that, he took Sienna’s hand, intending to leave.

The person caught up, glanced at the two of them holding hands, and cheekily asked, "Aren’t you going to introduce this beautiful lady to me?"
