Chapter 1052: Chapter 585: Bay 7_2

The tentacles firmly grasped the ground, and when extended, they would be the most stable pillars, not to mention the characteristic of soft-bodied creatures, whose lower body structure can withstand greater forces.

These Deep Sea Royal Guards were born to protect the Siren Queen and the Shaman Tide Controllers, a few of them in the whole bay are naturally stronger than ordinary Guards.

If those Royal Guards had invaded Hamlet instead of regular Guards then, Baldwin might have found it much harder to break through.

Even now, Lance’s sharp edge faltered upon their Shields.

One had to admit that their mutual protection, with the Squid Shields protecting each other, formed a whole, as if intending to trap Lance to death.

Giant Squid Fist Blade!

The space was compressed, leaving Lance nowhere to dodge. Looking at the countless Fist Blades swinging toward him, one could fear being smashed into a meat patty.

Yet Lance showed no fear, not because he was confident that his Black Armor could withstand the Fist Blades. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

It was the Limping Walker that was a Void creature with its greatest power not being the eerie Eye of Fear, but the ability to roam within the Void.

"Void, open to me..."

No matter how solid the Deep Sea Royal Guard’s defense was, it couldn’t seal the Void. As their Fist Blades were about to fall, Lance disappeared, leaving only a burst of Dark Flame at the scene.

The next second, he appeared behind a Royal Guard, stabbing directly into its back, pulling out his blade as Dark Flame ignited on the wound.

The other Royal Guards reacted but couldn’t keep up with Lance’s speed; within seconds, several of them were severely injured, mostly attacked from the back.

How could the other Deep Divers stand by?

The Shamans stirred the sea breeze to heal, countless warriors recklessly charged to block Lance, and the remaining Royal Guards raised their Shields to form barriers.

They indeed succeeded; the Coral Barrier blocked the Arm Blade, the Shield constructed of Dark Flame and Deep Sea Force halted, but eventually, it still stopped.

What a pity that the Spiral Bone Spear was used on the Siren; otherwise, Lance would have had much less trouble.

The Shamans stirred the sea breeze filled with Deep Sea Force to extinguish the Dark Flame, and the warriors rushing forward interrupted his rhythm.

But the real reason Lance stopped his pursuit of the Royal Guards was that the Siren blew the horn again.

Crescendo!

This time, the sound became high-pitched and majestic; the Deep Divers, who were initially in a slump, seemed to be summoned, wanting to rescue the Siren while Lance was entangled.

But that was Lance’s bait, how could it be swallowed by them?

In a flash, he appeared among the Deep Divers, unleashing another bloody storm.

The scene’s strangeness lay in Lance blocking in front of the Siren, appearing as though he was humorously protecting her from the crazed Deep Divers.

What a pity it was too ugly, or else he could have been said to be the Knight guarding a mermaid.

Meanwhile, those prepared Shamans finally completed an actual spell, causing the water level in the area to rise; from just touching their feet, it now reached above their ankles.

They intended to flood the area, creating a favorable terrain for themselves.

They were sheltered by the deep sea and would surely kill the land Demon!

The plan was good, but with the two sides at odds not for the first or second time, Lance certainly wouldn’t let them have their way.

"Wang Cai!"

A dull sound echoed through the helmet, and the ever-loyal Wang Cai, who had fought by his side all along, was solid and substantial, seemingly about to break the rules of reality binding spiritual bodies.

With the Queen held hostage, almost all the Shamans in the bay were gathered here.

As Spellcasters, they could sense Wang Cai’s undisguised presence.

They deployed various methods, some launching Sorcery attacks, others using Transcendent Ritual protections to avoid Wang Cai’s soul-rending, but for how long?

After all, back when Wang Cai was a Wolf Spirit, it was specifically born to counter Sorcery.

The tidal waves stirred in the Void by the Shamans were torn apart by Wang Cai’s claw and devoured with its mouth.

Ordinary Spiritual Bodies would not dare do this; the conflict between various Supernatural Powers could be lethal, not to mention the bizarre pollution and corruption.

But Wang Cai was very special; its existence itself was a miracle.

Though appearing in the shape of a wolf, its essence was the Void.

Void Devourer—Wang Cai!

A Giant Wolf fighting spells against a dozen Deep Sea Shamans, stirring the entire space into a spiritual upheaval.

If Amanda saw this scene, who knows what she would think?

She barely leveraged the power of the Ritual to move the Ritual set by a few dozen Deep Sea Shamans, but now...

It could only be said that Wang Cai had a backer!

And on the other side, Lance was nearly berserk; the intense battle not only didn’t tire him out, if anything, it made him more valorous.

Those Deep Divers who got close enough could often hear the muffled laughter coming from under the helmet, as if slaughtering these Deep Divers brought him ultimate pleasure.

Those Deep Divers, enchanted or inspired by the Siren, woke up upon hearing the laughter, with fear and despair overwhelming everything.

But soon, they needn’t worry, as the ones who could hear the laughter were close enough, and Lance would grant them a swift end.

But the Siren couldn’t stand it!

She played a crescendo melody to eradicate the Deep Divers’ fear, and they became excited by her call, fearlessly charging at Lance’s blade.

This should have been a stirring moment, but the Deep Divers coming to her rescue couldn’t cross that final step.

As she was pinned down by the Bone Spear, unable to escape, she witnessed the waves of rescuers being slaughtered effortlessly.

That kind of despair was torment enough, better to be granted a swift death.

However, the Siren hadn’t given up, as the savage Deep Divers twisted her into a carrier of Deep Sea Force, losing all self-awareness.

The Siren grabbed the horn and blew it towards Lance’s back, the deafening roar sounded as if the sound wave was about to solidify and spread.

Terrifying Roar!

As the powerful force of the sound wave acted on him, Lance, in the heat of slaughter, suddenly felt a heavy blow from behind, as if something wanted to pierce his helmet and flood into his brain.

But the Black Armor that could resist the Void wasn’t shattered by such damage.

While the Black Armor came with heavy costs, it significantly enhanced Lance’s survivability.

Lance quickly recovered from the initial shock, although he endured it, the Deep Divers couldn’t.

Due to the sound wave’s range attack, the Deep Divers within an area around Lance instantly died, seemingly with no visible injuries as they were killed by the roar’s shock.

Seeing this, Lance couldn’t help but be surprised at how ruthless the Deep Divers were towards their own.

He’s no target, immediately moving to break free of the sound wave, but the Siren kept blowing towards him, it’s unknown what deep grievances lay there.

Lance initially found it annoying but soon realized something was amiss because as he moved, the sound wave swept through, causing large numbers of Deep Divers to drop dead as if mowing down grass.

The efficiency far exceeded his own.

Indeed, there are always good people!

Seeing this, Lance wasn’t angry but delighted, defiantly weaving back and forth along that battle line, appearing like he was being driven away, yet it was the Deep Divers who were more unfortunate.

They were enchanted by the Siren’s song, summoned by the passionate rhythm, only to die amidst the Siren’s roar.

Lance focused on the sacrifice, and didn’t need to take action himself.

Perhaps realizing this move couldn’t deal with Lance, or noticing the heavy casualties among the Deep Divers, or perhaps running out of power to continue blowing.

The roar finally ceased, and Lance couldn’t help but shake his head, clearing the auditory hallucinations from his mind, taking a while before he could start hearing other sounds again.

Looking ahead, the Deep Sea Warriors and Guards hesitated to advance, seeming to have escaped the enchantment.

It appeared a brief deceptive calm had settled upon the battlefield...
