Chapter 211: Chapter 212: How Are You Still Standing?
"How... how are you still standing?" the pig stammered.
His voice shook violently, and his newly healed jaw began to tremble. He had spent a fortune on that premium restoration treasure, and he had used his strongest ultimate skill.
It was an attack meant to level entire mountains, yet the man in front of him looked completely bored.
"Did you really think that little firework would kill me?" Quinn asked, tilting his head. He brushed a small piece of rubble off his shoulder with a casual flick of his finger.
"I must admit, the punch from the big guy was a little fun. It actually pushed me back. But this? This explosion was nothing but loud noise and cheap smoke. You disappointed me, piggy."
Behind Quinn, screams of agony echoed through the ruined estate. Lilith and Zero were having their own fun with the remaining women. Lilith was laughing wildly as she tore through the layered makeup and the arrogant attitudes of her targets.
Zero moved like a silent shadow, her cold blades cutting through the air with perfect precision. They did not need any help.
The women who had looked so proud just moments ago were now begging for their lives, but their cries fell on completely deaf ears.
The juggernaut stepped in front of the pig, his heavy golden armor clanking loudly. His deep red skin was starting to fade back to its normal color, and his breathing was incredibly heavy.
The berserk mode had drained almost all of his energy, leaving his muscles aching and sore. Still, he forced himself to raise his massive fists.
"Lord, you must run," the juggernaut grunted out, his voice thick with blood.
"I will hold him back for as long as I can. This monster is not someone we can defeat with raw strength."
"Run? Where can he run?" Quinn chuckled softly. In a flash, he vanished from his spot.
Before the juggernaut could even blink, Quinn appeared right in front of him.
The speed was so fast that it broke the sound barrier, creating a sharp gust of wind that blew the remaining dust away.
Quinn reached out and grabbed the front of the juggernaut’s thick golden armor with one hand.
With a simple lift of his arm, he raised the seven-foot-tall giant completely off the ground.
"You have good spirit, big guy," Quinn said, looking up into the juggernaut’s terrified eyes.
"You fought well, and you actually made me feel a tiny bit of force. For that, I will give you a quick and painless death."
Quinn squeezed his fist. The golden armor shattered like thin glass, and powerful shockwaves traveled straight through the juggernaut’s chest.
The giant did not even have time to scream. His eyes went blank, and his massive body went completely limp. Quinn tossed the heavy corpse aside like a piece of useless trash.
The pig fell to his knees. The ground beneath him felt wet, and he realized he was shaking so hard that he could barely breathe.
All his wealth, all his elite guards, and all his golden armor meant absolutely nothing. He was completely alone now.
"Please," the pig whimpered, tears streaming down his fat cheeks. "I have money. I have treasures. I can give you everything! Just let me live! I will be your slave; I will do anything you want!"
Quinn walked over slowly, his boots crunching on the broken stones.
He stopped right in front of the kneeling man and looked down with deep disgust.
"You see, that is your biggest problem," Quinn said softly, his voice cold and sharp. "You think everything can be bought. You think because you have a fancy title and a lot of gold, you can talk down to anyone you please. But when the real monsters show up, your gold cannot save you."
"I’m sorry! I’m so sorry!" the pig cried out, pressing his forehead against the dirt.
"It is too late for apologies," Quinn replied. He raised his foot and brought it down with casual force right onto the pig’s head.
A loud crack echoed through the courtyard, and then everything went completely silent. The pig was dead, his arrogance wiped away from the world forever.
Quinn sighed and looked around the ruined area.
The grand estate was destroyed. Walls were broken, the ground was torn up, and smoke was rising into the dark sky.
A few moments later, Lilith and Zero walked out from the shadows.
Their clothes were spotless, though Lilith had a highly satisfied smile on her face.
"Are we all done here?" Lilith asked, wiping a small drop of blood from her cheek with a smile.
"Those girls were so loud, but they broke so easily. It wasn’t even a real challenge."
"They were weak," Zero stated simply, her voice as cold as ice.
She sheathed her daggers with a smooth, practiced motion.
"They did not deserve to stand in our way."
"Well, the big guy was slightly interesting," Quinn said, stretching his arms over his head.
"He actually managed to push me back a few feet. It’s been a while since anyone did that without me letting them.
But overall, it was just another bunch of trash thinking they were kings."
He looked back at the burning ruins of the estate. The wealth and power of this group had vanished in less than ten minutes.
They had picked a fight with the wrong person, and they had paid the ultimate price for their pride.
"Let’s move out," Quinn said, turning his back on the destruction.
"There is no point in staying in a place full of dead garbage. We have better things to do, and I am starting to get a little hungry."
"Yes!" Lilith and Zero said together, falling into step right behind him.
As the three of them walked away into the night, the flames rose higher behind them, swallowing the remains of the foolish men who thought they could conquer the world. Quinn did not look back even once.
To him, this was just another normal day, and the real fun was still waiting for them ahead.
