Chapter 75: Chapter 75: Transformation Spirit Beast

’Damn it! How dare he curse at me!’

’And he hit me!’

The Little Fox’s fur stood on end. A vicious glint shot from its narrowed eyes.

Just as it was about to risk its life to fight this damned human to the death, it felt a massive surge of Spiritual Qi slowly flow into it from where the human was holding its paw. A trace of confusion flickered in the Little Fox’s eyes. ’Aren’t humans supposed to be the most vicious and cunning creatures? Why would he expend his Spiritual Qi to save me? It couldn’t be... he’s taken a fancy to my beautiful fur, has he? Is he planning to fatten me up and then... Oh, heavens, how terrifying!’

While the Little Fox’s mind was racing, scaring itself with wild fantasies, Qin Li was already continuously channeling Innate Purple Qi into its body. To his surprise, when he tried to probe the Little Fox’s meridians with his Divine Sense to gauge the severity of its injuries, he found he couldn’t get an image of them at all!

’Are animals really that different from humans?’ The thought only lingered in Qin Li’s mind for a moment. He wasn’t particularly interested in such an ordinary little animal.

Watching the little creature’s bristling fur gradually smooth out under the soothing influence of his Innate Purple Qi, Qin Li smiled slightly. He could clearly feel the Little Fox’s life force growing stronger again. He released its paw, having not expended much Innate Purple Qi.

Over the past six months, the Innate Purple Qi within Qin Li’s body had accumulated to a rather astonishing degree. The source of qi in his Dantian had long since grown to the size of a soybean!

In truth, Qin Li had still underestimated the effects of the Innate Purple Qi. What was Innate Purple Qi? It was the most refined energy between heaven and earth! Although Qin Li absorbed less than one ten-millionth of it each day, even that small amount was enough to transform an ordinary person’s constitution and extend their lifespan.

So, when Qin Li’s hand let go of the White Fox’s paw, a flash of reluctance flickered in the Little Fox’s eyes for an instant, but no one noticed.

"Alright, it should be fine now. Let’s go," Qin Li said, standing up. He suddenly sniffed his hand, catching a refreshing, pleasant scent. He chuckled. "This little thing actually smells quite nice!"

The motionless White Fox on the ground narrowed its eyes to a slit, glaring fiercely at Qin Li as if to sear his image into its memory. ’In all my years, I’ve never been treated so frivolously by a human, let alone had my head patted like a common pet. But it was this same damned human whose Spiritual Power saved me. Spirit Beasts have simple minds; they believe in repaying every debt. Still, this guy is just so infuriating! I smell nice, so what? Did he expect me to stink? Hmph! One day, I’ll give you the shock of your life!’

The poor little White Fox didn’t even realize it itself. Perhaps it was due to the vulnerability of its spirit after being injured, or perhaps because this human had saved its life, but deep within its soul, his image was now deeply ingrained—including his scent, which it had committed to memory.

Leng Yao and Bu Yunyan gave the cute, unnamed little animal a look of pity, rising to their feet with some reluctance. As if remembering something, Bu Yunyan took a piece of cooked jerky from her backpack and placed it in front of the Little Fox before lightly hopping onto the raft.

The raft maneuvered around some floating patches of grass and reached the other side safely. Hu, Qin Li, and the others all breathed a sigh of relief. Though they didn’t know why the crossing had been so easy, they all felt very fortunate.

After getting ashore, Bu Yunyan glanced back, but the thicket was no longer visible. She sighed softly, wondering if the cute little white animal would be alright.

"Let’s go!" Hu took the lead, a Mountain-Cutting Saber in hand, and began to climb the mountain.

Only after the group had followed the gentle slope up and disappeared into the dense forest did the White Fox, lying on the floating island in the swamp, finally open its gem-like eyes... full of spirit, and enchantingly feminine!

If Qin Li and the others had seen the White Fox’s eyes just then, they certainly wouldn’t have thought it was an ordinary, non-sentient little animal. If one were to ignore its pointed snout and its long white fur and look only at those sapphire-blue eyes, one would surely think they belonged to a peerless, breathtakingly beautiful woman!

HISS!

As the White Fox stood up, the movement pulled at the wound on its body, and a very human-like groan escaped its mouth. The ghastly wound had already been stitched up by Leng Yao and Bu Yunyan. Looking down at the fine, neat stitches for a long moment, the White Fox felt a hint of satisfaction.

The chaotic meridians in her body had been smoothed out by the Spiritual Qi of that human who had dared to treat her so casually. Having overcome this crisis, recovery... for her, was now only a matter of time!

Thinking of the reason for her injury, a heaven-shaking rage suddenly erupted from the White Fox, spreading out in all directions like a shockwave. The White Fox instantly became alert and retracted its aura.

Up on the mountain, Qin Li suddenly stopped and glanced back down the path, a flicker of doubt in his eyes. Bu Yunyan asked softly, "What’s wrong?" 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

"Nothing," Qin Li said, turning back. For a split second, he had a feeling that made his skin crawl, but it vanished in an instant, as if it had never been there. ’Maybe it was just my imagination.’

...

The White Fox leaped, crossing several hundred meters in an instant like a bolt of white lightning. The next moment, it appeared where Qin Li’s group had just come ashore. It swished its fluffy tail gently. Its body felt warm and very comfortable.

The raft was still bobbing gently by the bank. The White Fox stared at the spot where Qin Li’s group had just disappeared, its eyes filled with a trace of hesitation.

That’s right. This little White Fox was not just a Spirit Beast, but... a powerful Spirit Beast that had already broken through the Celestial Level and achieved Transformation!

Unfortunately, she had encountered a powerful enemy during her Transformation and was severely injured in a sneak attack. Although she succeeded in her Transformation and made sure her attacker didn’t get off easy, if she hadn’t run into Qin Li’s group, this favored child of nature—a Spirit Beast who had cultivated for nearly a thousand years and had just achieved Transformation—would have likely died there in obscurity.

But now, not only had she been saved, but the meridians in her body had been realigned by Qin Li’s Innate Purple Qi. One had to understand, this was a... heaven-sent opportunity that she couldn’t have obtained even with countless years of bitter cultivation!

Cultivation for animals was infinitely more difficult than for humans to begin with. Reaching the Celestial Level, breaking through the Celestial Level, and achieving Transformation required an unimaginable amount of effort and hardship.

Meridians, on the other hand, were fixed at birth. As one cultivated, their meridians would widen and the Profound Pill within their body would grow, but what was innately determined could not be changed by later efforts. Thus, even if there were flaws, or if one’s meridians were damaged in battle, one could only endure it. This was not something that any Cultivation Technique could alter!

But Qin Li’s Innate Purple Qi was the perfect thing for repairing damaged meridians! It was coveted not just by human Martial Artists... but by all Spirit Beasts!

To have inadvertently received such an immense favor was something the White Fox had never experienced in her thousand years of life. At this moment, the most logical thing for her to do was to find a safe place, recover her strength, and then seek revenge on the one who dared to ambush her. But another voice in her heart told her that if she didn’t help them, that group of humans would surely be torn to shreds by the powerful Spirit Beasts on Phoenix Mountain. By the time her wounds were healed, there might not even be bone fragments left of them.

’So be it. A debt must always be repaid! I’ll just consider it repayment for saving my life.’

The White Fox hesitated no longer. Its figure moved like a ghost, vanishing into the dense forest in an instant.
