Chapter 49: 49: Plan To Punish.
SILVERMOON TRIBE.
The tribe setting was clearly better than the wild and mostly unkept Netherwild tribe. The houses here were mainly huts and wooden settings that looked more arranged and kept in place. It had a more civilized touch to it as it wasn’t in the wild woods. It was rather up the mountains.
The setting was more cohesive with beastmen moving around the environment in a more organized setting. The place was probably looked after, the bushes around properly attended to. The clothes worn by the beastmen here were still primitive but they were way more covering than the exposed clothing of the wild beastmen of the Netherwild tribe.
The beastmen and women had their bodies covered mainly from their chest to their legs. Clothing made of animal skin or so. Some men still were shirtless nevertheless as it was normal.
Unlike the Netherwild tribe, the atmosphere was filled with the sound of women moving and working around. And also filled with sounds and laughter of kids playing around. It was a wholesome tribe that was far more liveable than the Netherwild tribe.
In the main hall of the tribe leader, the tribe leader—a tiger beastman—sat down in his seat majestically in a man spread. In his main hall, he had some company as he was having an important meeting.
His son, the tribe leader’s son, a tiger beastman, also sat down close to him in his own seat, proudly staring around like the king of the land. His brown ears twitching as he looked around. He looked so smug.
At the sides were the three messengers who had gone to the Netherwild tribe to get some food. They were here, presenting the outcome of what they went for.
At the other side was Miya, the villainess’s sister, and her four husbands. They were also invited to the meeting as they were regarded as important figures. Miya was a popular female loved by all. And she was more loved after she bagged the four powerful beast husbands. Her status was pretty recognizable.
Some elders were also present at this meeting with some important figures. And then some guards around too. They all listened to the messengers explain what had happened.
But these messengers had casually twisted the situation. They presented it that the tribe leaders were being rude and proud and were looking down on them.
"They didn’t even want to hand us food. Saying they don’t have enough for themselves and even suggesting that we didn’t give them medications? Can you believe their nerves!" The deer scoffed, shaking his head in disbelief.
"They were so disrespectful to us. And they’re looking down at us too. Beyond redemption!" They snapped.
The tribe leader frowned as he shook his head. "Those pathetic monsters are finally growing some wings I see. Who do they even think they are?"
His son snapped. "That’s a lot. I think we should just eliminate those monsters. Just because we’ve been so patient with them they think they can walk down on us? Enough is enough!"
The tribe leader inhaled and exhaled. "I intentionally held back the medication to see if they’ll act fast and provide food. But it seems it’s not working. Do they think we care about them not eating? They should go into contaminated zones. They’re wild beasts too," he shook his head.
Miya sighed as she said, "I think you’ve been too lenient, my lord. And that’s why this is happening... If we become lenient, they’ll clearly trample us. And who knows? One day they’ll surely come to attack us openly!"
She spoke with a calm sweet voice. One that sounded so innocent that everyone would listen.
Her husbands immediately nodded in agreement. "Miya is right. We’ve been too lenient with those monsters and look at the outcome," said her tiger husband.
"True. I think we should take actions to put them back under control.. make them feel who is in charge!" Her wolf husband insisted.
The elders around nodded in agreement to this. The tribe leader hesitated as he asked the men, "What do they say about delivering the meal?"
"I doubt they’ll even consider it. So why wait for them? We should punish them first and then they’ll act," the antelope said as they all agreed.
The tribe leader slowly nodded. "Then I think they’re asking for it. We’ll have to give them what they want then," he scoffed as he said, "Which do we do now?" He stared at them.
After a while of thinking and considering, Miya had spoken first. "Water is the basic source of living for them. Why don’t we attack that and poison their streams? Huh? That way everyone will be affected and it’ll be a huge blow for sure."
Everyone hesitated and thought about this, a smile growing on their faces.
"I think that’s smart," the tribe leader nodded agreed with a smile. "Let’s poison their core sources of water and let all of them get affected by it and eventually die. Then they’ll all run to us for the cure. And then we can use that against them," he smiled. "I love that idea so much."
Everyone equally nodded in agreement to this. "Me too.. I think it’s brilliant. As expected of our brightest and smartest female!"
"Exactly. This is why she should always be around to make decisions. Her suggestions are always top notch!"
"True. Smart and beautiful, her husbands sure are lucky to have her," they praised as her husbands raised their chins proudly. Miya also smiled proudly.
"We are also lucky to have such a talented female. Unlike her useless sister. I’m so glad she was eliminated from our tribe and is probably dead right now."
"True. Eliminating that ugly useless pile of nothing was the best decision we’ve made. She could never compare to her beautiful smart sister here. What a relief!" Another praised as everyone immediately agreed without a second thought.
They had celebrated hard after casting out Ayra to her death. It was something they were relieved and happy about till now.
