Chapter 536: Chapter 536: Cross-Dimensional Alliance, Hard Countering the Death Ball

The red energy sphere in the sky grew larger and larger.

It plummeted like a miniature sun. Namek’s atmosphere was violently torn open, revealing a massive, gaping void. The extreme heat warped and distorted the surrounding air, refracting the very light that passed through it. The planet’s crust groaned under the overwhelming, unendurable burden. Bottomless fissures spread like spiderwebs across the earth. The previously dried-up lakebed was instantly baked into scorched earth, and what little residual moisture remained evaporated into white mist upon contact with the blistering heat.

It was an oppressive, despair-inducing weight that made every single breath feel like inhaling fire. With every passing second, death drew closer.

Akainu lay facedown in the rubble. He opened his mouth, vomiting a large mouthful of dark red blood. The blood sizzled and popped as it hit the scalding rocks. His lungs burned agonizingly. He couldn’t even begin to guess how many of his bones were broken. Even twitching a finger required a Herculean effort.

Yet, he gritted his teeth and forced himself to stand.

He was the highest military power of Marine Headquarters. He represented Absolute Justice. How could he possibly bow his head to an alien bastard here?

Akainu’s mind flashed to Blake’s perpetually lazy smile back at Partys Bar in Foosha Village. That man could casually bestow god-like powers upon others. As long as he secured the Dragon Balls, he could exchange them with that man for trump cards that defied all logic and reason. The Marines needed that kind of power to suppress the seas.

Absolute Justice absolutely could not fall here. He would never let these pirates look down on him.

He gripped the cracked hilt of Zanka no Tachi with both hands, viciously driving the blade into the crumbling rock beneath his feet.

"Get up!"

Akainu unleashed a feral, beast-like roar. He drained the very last drop of his stamina. As he pushed the Mag-Mag Fruit to its absolute limits, the surrounding rocks melted into a sea of crimson. A massive, dark red Magma Pillar erupted from the depths of the earth.

The geyser of molten rock shot into the heavens, forcefully slamming into the bottom of the descending red energy sphere. The collision of the two extreme temperatures sent out concentric ripples of pure destruction. Akainu’s arms ruptured from the sheer overexertion, blood streaming down his wrists.

Kaido lay in a deep crater not far from the Admiral, gasping heavily for air. The caved-in wound on his chest was a horrific sight, and every breath carried the thick stench of iron.

But he heard Akainu’s roar.

If a dignified Marine Admiral was risking his life, how could he, the Governor-General of the Beasts Pirates, lie in the dirt waiting to die? Furthermore, he was now Security Guard No. 007 of Partys Bar. If he died at the hands of this White-Skinned Runt, even the Shop Manager would find it embarrassing.

I’m a man who doesn’t even care about the title of Yonko, Kaido thought fiercely. I’ve run rampant through the New World, crushing countless powerful foes beneath my feet. How could I lose to this tailed freak?

Kaido let out an earth-shattering bellow. His body rapidly expanded as a massive, cyan-scaled Azure Dragon hundreds of meters long soared into the sky. The Rayquaza template granted him one final surge of strength.

The colossal dragon circled once in the air before using its mangled, broken back to physically push against the terrifying red energy sphere. The moment his cyan scales made contact with the sphere’s surface, they suffered massive carbonization. Charred scales sloughed off in droves. His dragon blood vaporized into a red mist before it could even spill.

Kaido roared in excruciating agony. Yet, his massive body didn’t retreat a single inch. His horns had snapped, and his whiskers curled in the intense heat. He was using his primal, physical might to forcibly withstand an energy mass capable of obliterating the planet.

"Akainu, don’t you dare disgrace the Marines!" Kaido roared from the sky. In this desperate situation, he was actually fighting side-by-side with the Marine Admiral he despised the most.

In the distant ruins, Goku lay paralyzed. The debilitating backlash of the Kaio-ken Times Twenty made moving even a single finger agonizingly difficult. His muscle fibers felt as though they were being sliced by countless tiny knives, and every nerve screamed in protest.

But as he watched the dragon and the man desperately resisting the attack in the sky, his Saiyan blood ignited once more.

These two guys from another world were putting their lives on the line to survive. How could he give up here? The Earth was still waiting for him. Krillin and Gohan still needed his protection. King Kai’s earnest warnings still echoed in his ears. He had to stop this demon.

Goku bit down hard, shattering his own teeth. He forcefully squeezed out the very last trace of Ki remaining in his broken body. Bringing his hands together at his waist, a faint blue light began to gather in his palms. Though the light was weak, it pulsed with an unyielding will.

"KA... ME... HA... ME... HA!"

A faint yet resolute pillar of blue light pierced through the smoke and dust, striking the lower flank of the red energy sphere.

The Magma Pillar. The Demon Dragon Body. The Kamehameha.

Three vastly different powers from three entirely different worlds converged in that single moment. The apocalyptic energy sphere genuinely stalled in mid-air for a full second. A deafening, screeching friction tore through the atmosphere.

High above, Frieza hovered over the attack. He looked down at the three struggling figures and let out a grating, mocking laugh.

"What a touching scene," Frieza sneered. "The Filthy Monkey and the reptiles actually learned to cooperate. I thought you only knew how to bite each other."

A sadistic gleam flashed in Frieza’s eyes. He thoroughly enjoyed the process of slowly crushing the hopes of insects. It gave him an intoxicating sense of absolute supremacy. He had initially been pressing down on the attack with just one finger. Now, he casually placed a second finger against it.

"But trash is still trash. No matter how much you struggle, the outcome was predetermined. DIE!"

He simply added a fraction more downward pressure.

The balance instantly shattered.

Akainu’s Magma Pillar was the first to collapse. The dark red magma was completely crushed, scattering into the sky like a rain of fire. The webbing between Akainu’s thumbs and index fingers burst open, and Zanka no Tachi flew from his grasp. The massive recoil slammed him brutally into the ground, a sickening series of cracks echoing from his chest.

Next was Kaido. The Azure Dragon’s spine let out a horrifying, bone-chilling snap. His carbonized flesh was stripped away in massive chunks. Unable to support the weight any longer, Kaido’s colossal form was driven straight down, cratering heavily into the earth.

Goku’s Kamehameha was thoroughly dispersed, the blue light swallowed entirely by the blinding red glare. He coughed up another mouthful of blood as his vision blurred.

With the defensive line entirely disintegrated, the red energy sphere mercilessly slammed into Namek’s crust.

The entire planet convulsed violently. The surface boiled like a rolling pot of water. Scalding magma erupted from the depths like geysers, shooting straight into the clouds. The violent shockwaves manifested as a storm of pure annihilation, laced with dark red lightning.

Goku took the shockwave head-on. Like a kite with a snapped string, he was violently blown thousands of meters away, crashing heavily through a stone mountain. Buried under the rubble, he lost consciousness completely.

Akainu and Kaido didn’t even have the chance to dodge. They were crushed deep into the abyssal depths by the terrifying pressure of the exploding sphere. Endless rock and magma swallowed them whole, turning the entire area into a massive, churning lake of molten fire.

The destructive energy continued to ripple outward. Namek’s sky was dyed a despairing shade of scarlet. Continental plates collapsed. The planet’s lifespan had officially entered its final countdown.

Hovering high in the sky, Frieza admired his masterpiece. He thoroughly relished the aesthetics of destruction.

"This is the price of defying me." He yawned lazily, seemingly already bored of the impending explosion. No one had ever survived witnessing his Final Form.

Far, far away from the epicenter, two small figures lay trembling behind a cluster of rocks.

Cold sweat beaded across Krillin’s bald head. Gohan gripped his fists tightly, tears welling in his eyes. Just moments ago, they had clearly sensed Goku’s Ki. They knew it was his Kamehameha. But now, that familiar energy had faded to an absolute minimum. It was on the verge of vanishing entirely.

Krillin gritted his teeth and forced himself to stand.

"Goku..."

He stared at the crimson-drenched sky. The suffocating pressure radiating from that direction made it impossible to breathe.
