Chapter 1132: Chapter 1128: After the Performance

The brief stage performance made Igor and Kadi very uncomfortable, the lights were too bright, and they weren’t used to it at all. But luckily, they were clowns, only needing to make people laugh. Both Kadi and Igor accomplished this, and so did the green nose, who dumbly spun around on stage once and then went down.

Compared to Brava, they were truly authentic performers, without any hint of depth.

Igor was still panting, feeling like his performance was terrible, no wonder the audience was booing them.

But Brava didn’t scold them, instead, Brava gave them a thumbs-up: "Really great, obviously done with effort. For a first time on stage, achieving this is really remarkable!"

Igor wasn’t sure if Brava was praising him or someone else, but it sounded quite nice to him.

"Practice a few more times in the future, you’ll definitely become proficient!"

"Like you?" Kadi asked.

"No, better than me!"

Through these few conversations between Kadi and Brava, Igor realized that Brava seemed to appreciate Kadi greatly, and all of Brava’s expressions were related to the clown business, not involving anything else.

Like the transcendence power that the green nose and red hair always dream of, Brava seemingly never mentioned it. This inevitably reminded Igor of what the red hair said before.

The boss didn’t seem willing to accept the identity of Brava.

Igor now wanted to find an opportunity to deeply connect with Brava, as long as he could connect with Brava through Kadi’s Ant Connection Spell, everything would be fine. But now, the opportunity hadn’t arisen, Igor thought, it looks like this matter will have to wait until after the performance.

The circus performance continued, Captain Stanley brought giant Amoon onto the stage.

The appearance of the giant caused a burst of exclamations among the audience, they had never seen someone like this, feeling a bit frightened, but Stanley soon eased the fright.

Stanley and giant Amoon performed a wrestling show, seeing a skinny tall guy bring down a giant was quite satisfying for the audience, but they still didn’t understand how the giant could be defeated by Stanley.

"Do you know why giant Amoon was defeated?" Igor asked Kadi, clearly he knew the answer.

"I don’t know!"

"You know?" The green nose on the side looked at Igor with disdain.

"Of course!" Igor teased.

"Why?" Kadi and green nose asked in unison, obviously Igor had piqued their interest.

"Hehe, because his opponent is the captain!"

This answer left Kadi and green nose stunned, this explanation certainly made sense.

But the performance on stage continued, the captain’s slender figure easily defeated the gigantic Amoon.

Every time Amoon was brought down, the audience underneath cheered loudly!

Eventually, giant Amoon lay on the ground, unable to get up again!

Stanley gasped for breath and then loudly asked the audience, "What did you think of the performance just now!"

"Good!" The crowd cheered.

"You all saw the power of the giant, isn’t it terrifying!"

"Yes!" came the unanimous response from the audience below, Igor felt surely many of the spectators were paid recruits, otherwise, how could they cooperate so well with Captain Stanley?

"You’ve all seen it, a giant can crush an egg with one hand, smash iron blocks with a punch, crush a wooden pole with one foot.

Igor also listened quietly, curious about what Stanley was trying to say.

"Only adventurers with a class could defeat such a big guy, right!"

"Right!" came the overwhelming response from the audience, how many recruits could there be!

"Unfortunately, I’m not an adventurer, yet I defeated him!" Stanley said seriously on stage.

After these words, the audience below mumbled and murmured quietly, seemingly discussing something.

This left Igor stunned as well, he now realized what Stanley was up to—he was blatantly recruiting people!

This circus definitely has something going on!

As Igor thought, Stanley slowly said: "Our circus can transcend the gap between adventurers and non-adventurers. If anyone is interested, you can come find us! We are right here, thank you everyone."

After speaking, Stanley and the giant retreated off stage...

"It’s our turn again, don’t just stand there!" Brava kicked Igor in the butt, urging Igor and Kadi to go on stage to warm up the crowd.

Igor still hadn’t come to his senses, clearly having some doubts about Stanley’s previous words, while Kadi was slightly better off, and before going on stage, still didn’t forget to say to Igor, you see, you were wrong!

Igor knew that Kadi was teasing him for the joke he made earlier, but he wasn’t in the mood to think about these things now, he was pondering about Stanley’s open recruitment and what it was truly for.

The clown returned to the stage, causing a burst of laughter below. Igor stood like a wooden figure on the stage, but his painted face along with his stupefied expression perfectly supported Brava’s earlier words, even if you do nothing, it doesn’t matter.

Kadi and green nose made exaggerated movements beside Igor, mocking him, all for getting laughs from the audience and also to ease the previous tension.

Igor went offstage, having done nothing. During this time, he was still contemplating the previous scene and what it was truly for. He was sure to research this circus well after the performance!

After going offstage, Brava quickly sent the three of them outside!

"Go call the team outside in, it’s time to rotate!"

Igor and them scurried out of the performance tent to switch out Quinn and red-haired folks!

"After our performance, we need to showcase well!" Igor said to Kadi, clearly a code between him and Kadi, indicating it was time to act.

Kadi nodded.

"Don’t forget me either, maybe if our performance is good, we’ll be given a name!" Clearly, the green nose hadn’t picked up on the code between Igor and Kadi, still thinking it was a normal showcase.

Igor and Kadi nodded repeatedly, at least for now they hadn’t given themselves away, still maintaining their identity as newcomers to the circus!

The circus performance continued, with only two or three acts done so far, next there would be the dwarf band and the flying acrobats, as for the final act, Igor and the others didn’t know. Now what they need to do is observe closely, the more they understand about the circus, the easier their upcoming actions will be!
