Chapter 1120: Chapter 1116: Star Circus
Igor and Kadi tremblingly accepted the Feather Letter from Quinn’s hand. They never expected they’d have such an opportunity to approach the Circus so easily.
"Do you just trust us like this!" Kadi asked once more.
"I think you look so pitiful, obviously not swindlers, so I believe my judgment is quite accurate, and this way, it can also help you..."
"Quinn!" Before Quinn could finish his sentence, the instrument vendor called over, "A customer wants a brass instrument, go check in the carriage and see if there’s any!"
"Okay, right away!" Quinn quickly responded, and then waved to Igor and Kadi, "No choice, I need to make a living now, working for others. I’ll leave it to you guys, as soon as the market finishes, I’ll go to the Circus to find you."
After saying this, Quinn ran to the instrument vendor’s carriage to rummage through boxes, leaving Igor and Kadi holding the Feather Letter, looking around.
"Should we go to the Circus now then?" Igor looked at Kadi.
"Wasn’t it always up to you to decide before!" Kadi responded indifferently.
"It’s different now..." Igor saw Kadi in a new light, not holding the previous attitude.
Previously, Igor always felt he needed to protect Kadi, but now he feels Kadi should protect him.
Igor was a bit shocked by Kadi’s sudden ability to weave such an elaborate lie. He felt it necessary to tell Kadi not to lie like this, there should be a limit, but now was not that time. Now he could only continue along in Kadi’s big lie to approach the Circus.
With Quinn’s Feather Letter, they now had the chance to approach the Circus. This moment cannot be delayed, Kadi believed acting decisively was better than hesitating, so Kadi waved his hand: "Let’s go, to the Circus!"
Kadi, full of vigor, took large strides ready to leave, but was held back by a sentence from Igor.
"Do you know where the Circus is?"
This sentence was like a bucket of cold water, pouring right onto Kadi’s head, making the originally proud Kadi calm down suddenly. Though now with the authority to decide, there were still many things not within their grasp.
"Then...what should we do?" Kadi deflated and lost his momentum, reverting to his original clueless demeanor.
"Uh...let’s ask others, there are so many people here, surely someone has been to the Circus."
"Good idea!" Kadi couldn’t help but praise and although he could come up with a memory-loss plot, he had no idea how to ask for directions. After all, he’s a mountain-dwelling creature, dealing with people only on a story level. He could communicate smoothly once talking to someone, but to initiate a conversation, well he wasn’t quite skilled, sometimes his straightforwardness would scare people...
Igor felt this couldn’t be rushed, maybe one day Kadi would suddenly understand, like just now when he perfectly presented a lie, though this lie was for their impersonation, Igor found it abrupt, bothering him till now.
"Hello, sir, buying so many things huh!" Igor began to approach someone for conversation.
Approaching someone is an art, not everyone is willing to stop and talk, Igor’s approach hoped to build rapport, but this uncle ignored him, walking straight towards a tobacco stall.
Igor shrugged, saying to Kadi: "See, not everyone is friendly!"
Kadi somewhat understood and nodded, now learning from Igor how to approach people.
"Oh hey, auntie, isn’t carrying so much stuff tiring, let me help you with that." Igor spotted an older middle-aged woman ahead and eagerly ran over to offer help.
"Sure, sure, young man, you’re so helpful, but I can handle this bit."
This approach worked better.
"Buying so many things, is it to watch the Circus performance tonight!" Igor asked carefully.
"Of course, this time it’s the Star Circus visiting us, although not as dazzling as the Sun Circus, it’s one of Empire’s famous circuses."
"Really, we’re from out of town, not familiar at all!" Igor cautiously spoke, not wanting to lose the chance to chat with this auntie!
"Hohoho, youngster, you don’t look local, your attire’s quite peculiar, a bit like Circus folks."
"Is it!"
"The most dazzling part of the Star Circus is their aerial performance by a group of twins, they soar gracefully like birds with wings!" Auntie grew more excited as she spoke.
"There’s also a Dwarfs music band, their music is so amusing, supposedly it can make you laugh all day!"
"Their leader is an Animal Trainer, but doesn’t seem to have brought many beasts, at least I haven’t seen much, maybe leaving us some surprises!"
This auntie chatted with Igor and Kadi, slowly walking out of the market without realizing.
"Hearing you say, I really want to see this Circus now!"
"Haha, Circuses gather crowds wherever they go, no need for promotion, just hoist their flag high, and people naturally notice."
"Oh, that’s amazing!"
"Look, there goes the brightly starred flag." The auntie pointed to a distant white flag flying high.
Igor glanced over, seeing the other side of town with colorful flags fluttering, especially the flag adorned with shining stars very eye-catching.
This was the Star Circus, Igor thought to himself, wondering if there was any connection with that Clown.
"Does the Star Circus have Clowns?" Igor asked and immediately regretted, feeling the question was silly.
"Every Circus has Clowns, with thick makeup, making faces, and they’re always popular."
"Haha, indeed." Igor tried to lighten the atmosphere.
"Seems you guys haven’t watched much Circus performances!" Despite attempts to cover, Igor’s question attracted attention.
"Uh...kind of, we rarely see Circus shows..." This was true, yet Igor felt like he was lying.
