Kevin's words also shocked Igor. These various organizations are utterly insane, using innocent people as hostages to force those related to Guru Mountain to cooperate with them. This is truly vile behavior! Igor thought that if he ever encountered these people, he would certainly fight back against every single one.
"Some of these organizations are following orders, while others are acting on their own, but ultimately they all seek power. They eagerly watch as the two major organizations compete with the Black Crow for that power which transcends life and death. Naturally, they too are unwilling to give up and are thinking about getting a piece of the pie."
"Nowadays, anything related to Guru Mountain can brew a storm of bloodshed. No one dares to easily claim they've been to Guru Mountain."
"Things outside are becoming increasingly complex, and we can definitely sense the madness out there too," said the Great Mentor.
These words made Igor feel very puzzled. Why hadn't he noticed such extraordinary things despite being at Guru Mountain? Perhaps his skills still lacked refinement.
"Indeed, even if we are extremely cautious, we cannot stop everyone from coming to Guru Mountain. There will always be some who slip through. Having the Mentor here at Guru Mountain is truly wonderful!" said Stan Sol.
"Yes, there have been some scoundrels who've come here, but we've dealt with them one by one. These individuals had strange patterns on them, patterns I had never seen before. After showing them to others, including Estev, no one recognized them either," Kevin said, implying that there might be a force behind those scoundrels coming to Guru Mountain.
"Does that pattern resemble the branches of the Thorny Flower entwined with a Double-headed Snake?"
"Yes, that's the pattern. At the time, we found it very peculiar. Which organization dares to use such a pattern? The Double-headed Snake is the symbol of Queen Wensi, and the Thorny Flower belongs to the Mantai Empire. How could these two things come together?"
"We are also investigating this organization. But for now, we haven't found any significant leads."
"Just as one wave subsides, another arises. The Black Crow issue hasn't been fully resolved, now there's a new pattern emerging. The world is indeed changing rapidly."
The Sol Brothers and the Great Mentor began discussing the current situation. Igor quietly listened on the side. There were many things he hadn't come across before, so he wasn't quite clear on what was happening. Listening to their discussions, Igor felt like a frog at the bottom of a well.
"Now everyone is itching to get their hands on that power that transcends life and death. I want to know the nature of that power. Great Mentor, you once participated in the sealing process; do you know anything about it?" the Sol Brothers suddenly asked. Indeed, the power to transcend life and death is prompting various organizations to take action. Without the temptation of this power, these organizations wouldn't mobilize their forces on such a large scale.
"I did participate in that sealing, but I only know it is a spell that transcends life and death. But I'm not clear on the specifics. Perhaps Lord Soron knows."
"That Spirit Book..." Stan Sol began, glancing at Igor.
Igor was ready this time. He knew how conversations could lead to him, so he had learned to face it calmly.
"Ahem, those books are indeed with me. But I'm not a scholar like Stim; I can't see anything from them!"
"Haha, understood, understood. We're just asking," Stan Sol said with an awkward smile.
"By the way, you mentioned those organizations are despicable, taking innocent people hostage. What about my family..." Igor evidently thought about his family, wondering if his father and siblings would be caught in the crossfire.
"Haha, don't worry about that. They've all been relocated to Yonder Travel Academy. Perkins and Teacher Hadi have arranged everything for them, and even your friends have been placed there. There's nothing to worry about,"
"That must have troubled Dean Hoffman quite a bit!" Igor scratched his head, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"The reason we fight against these evil forces is to let those around us live peacefully," the Sol Brothers said with a smile.
"Yes, it's also for the world," the Great Mentor added with emotion.
Once again, the atmosphere lightened. Thinking about some good things, everyone felt happier.
"We now have little knowledge of our enemies. I really hope we can make some progress this time," Stan Sol said.
"Regardless of the situation, things have become nebulous. The world is set to change significantly; forces outside the Three Great Empires will inevitably be reshuffled," the Great Mentor analyzed for the group.
"What do you mean by this, Great Mentor?" asked Tobin Sol.
"You trust your Lord Governor greatly. While I don't know why you trust him so much, I believe Rostov has his exceptional qualities. Presently, his actions are primarily for all of Luona. His staunch support is very important."
"Without the Lord Governor discerning the priorities, we would not be able to tackle the hidden forces; we would be compelled to follow the Empire's pace to counter the other two great empires. Fortunately, the Lord Governor supports us, giving us the opportunity to investigate those real enemies."
"With such a person, the world will become a better place," the Great Mentor said with feeling.
"So, Mentor, how do you think the world will change?" Igor asked curiously.
"Looking at it now, the gap between Adventurers with Class and Non-Adventurers will be broken. Once this barrier is shattered, traditional powerful organizations like the Dark Cabinet and Wizard Alliance will immediately ascend to the altar, while the Alchemy Workshop and Scholar Commons will grow stronger, particularly the Alchemy Workshop, which will become exceptionally powerful."
"What about those mercenary organizations?" Kevin was astonished by the Great Mentor's assessment, finding it quite unthinkable.
"Mercenary organizations will also be reshuffled, but I can't see where that force resides. The Black Crow is merely the beginning. Their actions will turn the worlds of adventurers and non-adventurers upside down!"
"What if the Black Crow is eliminated by the Dark Cabinet and the Alchemy Workshop?" Sol asked.
"It won't be annihilated. Although the Black Crow may be defeated, they will pass down what they possess to those who destroy them. This might be their true purpose," the Great Mentor said.
Indeed, the Black Crow had remained inactive. Even though their underground network was disrupted by the Dark Cabinet and the Alchemy Workshop, they hadn't made a move, which seemed peculiar. With the Great Mentor's analysis, everyone felt a chill.
Perhaps the Black Crow is waiting for others to fight it out...
