’Am I being nerfed?’

I couldn’t help questioning the System as I checked the Main Quest’s status, things didn’t feel right this time around.

Though I was thankful that the Demons made my job to eradicate the Corrupted easier, the fused Corruption Core only ended up decreasing my possible reward.

I did especially receive double the max reward, a whole 6 Stat Points. However...

Compared to the amount that I collected just by mildly influencing the numerous Corruption Cores’ destruction, it felt very unsatisfying!

’This leaves a bad taste in my mouth.’

Not only did the previously helpful Player Initiated Quest skimp on the two levels that I should have been given, but the trusty Main Quest was also sabotaged by the Demons’ foolish act!

Though it was unrealistic, it felt like everyone was out to get me ever since I landed in the Fire Domain...

’Let’s just be thankful for what I got.’

Considering the number of level-ups that I had also achieved in this Domain, between the ’Prophecy’ Quest and the result of rampaging in my ’Full Dragonization’ form, things weren’t too bad, especially at my level.

However, that was precisely why things felt underwhelming. After all those great early rewards, it was disappointing to receive nerfed rewards like this.

’Let’s hope that the Main Quest’s reward will be worth it.’

The last time I claimed a reward from the Main Quest, I ended up picking something ambiguous yet promising. This time around, I hoped for something I would be able to directly use!

’That being said...’

Naturally, it all boiled down to whether I could find my way to the next Domain and step into the System Space.

’I’m not even sure I want to do that this time.’

With how things progressed so far, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to expect finding the next Domain to be already in ruins.

Unless a competent player appeared to do their actual job, there was no hope in pushing the Demons back, it felt like a better idea to stay in place and form a line of defense instead...

"Azure..."

Just when I was considering an important turning point in my life, the Dragon Clan Leader, Dru, approached me with a solemn face.

’Ah, right.’

I almost forgot that there was one more reward lying in wait for me at the Dragon Clan’s Stronghold!

’Also this...’

At the same time, the comical quest arrow that I became able to see just a few minutes ago was shining more blindly with the passing of time as if beckoning me to quickly check it out.

’Might as well hear everyone else before deciding.’

Since my decision could very well cost me my life, I didn’t plan to make any hasty choices. It wasn’t like I found my ’gate’ to the next Domain anyway. Even if I did, I wouldn’t destroy it just to stay here.

"Clan Leader... Sorry, I need some time. There is still one more thing that I need to do."

I had a lot of expectations for the discussion that we would have. With some hope, I might be able to find an answer to some of my most urgent questions. However...

’I’m more curious about this weird quest.’

Compared to the Dragon Clan’s Central Hall which I was already familiar with, I had slightly more interest in meeting this so-called Guest. It wasn’t like the Stronghold would fly elsewhere while I was away.

’This thing is getting too bright to handle as well...’

[ Do you want to disable ’Quest Arrow Detection’? Y/N ]

Although it seemed like I did have the ability to put off this blinding annoyance, I didn’t want to risk the possibility that it would disappear forever alongside the quest itself.

I was far too curious to miss out on the conclusion of this questline!

’Let’s not forget the Precious Treasurezzz...’

I honestly didn’t expect much, but just taking a look at the person who had a connection with the source of all this would do for now.

"Let’s go, Light."

"Raar!"

Since I didn’t have the motivation to move a single muscle, I decided to borrow Light’s back once more as I guided him accordingly...

’Hmmm? It doesn’t seem to be very far.’

Just like things worked in a common RPG, the Quest Arrow kept growing bigger as we marched in the direction it pointed, indicating that we were quickly getting closer to the target.

’This better not be a trap...’

My body could still move, but my weary soul needed a break. If this meeting ends on a less-than-savory note, I might be tempted to repeat what I did to half the Demon Army.

’Be positive... Be positive.’

While hypnotizing myself to stop expecting the worst, a hill that shed down its shadow into a small pond entered our line of sight.

’There you are. Fishing...?’

Someone was standing in front of the pond holding a fishing line!

"Ah, you are finally here, friend from home!"

’Is that what you meant by close?’

"Eh? This is your response? Why aren’t you the least bit excited?"

It looked like I was able to meet another anomaly just like me...
