Chapter 92: Ch 92: Rest Stop Confrontation and Scheming Tears

The air carried a heavy tension as the two stared at each other. Su Wanyan unconsciously took a small step back. After all, Gu Chengze’s plot armor was already overpowered, and he wasn’t the main character of this world.. he was just the male lead. But this one in front of her was the main character of this world, the person around whom the entire story revolved.

Su Wanyan caught herself and calmed down. She hugged Mo Yan tighter and clutched the tools she had brought with her. "Teacher Lin," Su Wanyan greeted, managing a small, polite bow. Lin Xuanyu still stared at her with some indescribable emotions that Su Wanyan couldn’t quite distinguish, but seeing that look made her skin crawl with disgust.

Seeing as Lin Xuanyu wasn’t replying to her, Su Wanyan was about to walk past him when he suddenly grabbed her shoulder. Su Wanyan paused in her steps and looked down at the hand holding her firmly. She frowned, her warm aura dropping somewhat.

"What do you think you’re doing?" Su Wanyan asked coldly. Lin Xuanyu was surprised at the tone Su Wanyan was using with him, and even Su Wanyan herself was surprised at what had just come out of her mouth.

However, Su Wanyan didn’t correct it. After all, she had already made enemies with Gu Chengze, which would deem her as a villain in this story. So, it didn’t really matter if she added more villain points. It would be a hard path if the plot armor defended them, but Su Wanyan was prepared for those obstacles. After all, they had messed with the children and Mo Xingxue first.

Su Wanyan cleared her throat and aggressively took back her arm. "Yes?" Su Wanyan asked again, her guards all up. Lin Xuanyu finally snapped out of his daze, secretly gritting his teeth. How dare this bitch? Lin Xuanyu thought, his body shaking in fury, but he successfully calmed down. Lin Xuanyu managed a smile. "Oh, it’s just...." Lin Xuanyu trailed off, noticing how distant this Su Wanyan was.

"Just?" Su Wanyan asked, impatience showing in her voice. I don’t have the time to deal with his tantrums, Su Wanyan thought, tapping her foot incessantly on the floor. "It’s just...." Lin Xuanyu trailed off again, his eyes watering with tears. Seeing that, Su Wanyan sighed, rolling her eyes at him inwardly.

Lin Xuanyu looked down at his feet, bowing his head. Su Wanyan sighed, wondering when this would be over. Sigh, I need to go help Xuexue wake Xing’er, Su Wanyan thought, knowing the child was hard to wake up.

Then, Su Wanyan snapped out of her thoughts when she heard sniffling coming from the person in front of her. Su Wanyan frowned and sighed inwardly. She didn’t say anything, just stared at Lin Xuanyu.

But it went on for a full minute, and he still wasn’t saying anything. Su Wanyan sighed, her conscience kicking in. "Teacher Lin," Su Wanyan said tentatively. "What’s wrong?" Su Wanyan continued, bending down her upper body to see his face.

Then, Lin Xuanyu suddenly straightened up, taking Su Wanyan by surprise. "Teacher Su!" Lin Xuanyu suddenly exclaimed. Su Wanyan was surprised, letting her upper body straighten up again, but it wasn’t fast enough as she was still aware of the adorable sleeping baby in her arms.

"Teacher Su," Lin Xuanyu repeated himself, stepping closer to Su Wanyan. He then clutched her shirt, to which Su Wanyan frowned. She wanted to shrug the hand off, but she knew it would do her more bad than good. "Yes?" Su Wanyan asked, uncertainty in her voice as she tried to figure out whatever Lin Xuanyu was scheming now.

Lin Xuanyu clutched his hands on her shirt tighter, his lips that were pursed quivering. "I’m sorry, Teacher Su," Lin Xuanyu said, his voice cracking with grief. Su Wanyan raised an eyebrow at him but let him continue. "I felt like I was so rude yesterday," Lin Xuanyu admitted, bowing his head in shame.

"I was glaring at you fiercely yesterday, without taking your feelings into account," Lin Xuanyu admitted, shaking his head left and right. "I know that I shouldn’t have done that, especially since CEO Gu was..." Lin Xuanyu paused.

"Was?" Su Wanyan prompted, already tired with Lin Xuanyu’s bullshit. Su Wanyan sighed. She looked at her watch and saw that 5 minutes had already passed. When will this sympathy farming end? Su Wanyan lamented, sick of Lin Xuanyu’s performance.

Lin Xuanyu looked up at Su Wanyan, his eyes glistening with unshed tears, making whoever saw him like this have a sense of protectiveness. Meanwhile, Su Wanyan was yet again another exception as the only thing she was feeling was annoyance.

Then, Lin Xuanyu tightened his hold again, so tight that Su Wanyan was scared he would tear out her shirt. What is this madman doing? Su Wanyan thought, really worried about her shirt. "Especially since CEO Gu was in the wrong," Lin Xuanyu finally managed to get out. Then his expression darkened, grimacing about what he said and feeling heartbroken by his betrayal to his beloved. Lin Xuanyu quickly looked down, not wanting Su Wanyan to see his unwilling expression.

However, it was too late as Su Wanyan had already seen it all. Su Wanyan smirked inwardly. Ah, so that’s what he’s planning? Su Wanyan thought. She shook her head. Whitewashing yourself won’t do you any good, Su Wanyan thought, shaking her head.

Then, Lin Xuanyu looked up again and wanted to say something. Seeing that, Su Wanyan sighed and turned to the side, noticing Mo Xingxue arriving, carrying Shen Guoxing.

Now, that brings us to the present. Su Wanyan narrated all that to Mo Xingxue, as if she was a soldier reporting everything to her captain. Mo Xingxue smiled, she stretched out her hand to gently ruffle Su Wanyan’s hair, to which Su Wanyan didn’t avoid Mo Xingxue’s touch, letting her have her fun. Su Wanyan smiled, sensing that Mo Xingxue was satisfied with what she was doing.

To be honest, she was quite scared when she saw Mo Xingxue. It wasn’t because she was caught in a scandalous affair, but it was because Mo Xingxue’s whole vibe suddenly cooled down, as if she wanted to freeze the earth itself from her vibe.

Su Wanyan secretly sighed in relief and hid behind Mo Xingxue, looking at Lin Xuanyu who was shocked by the turn of events. Mo Xingxue smiled at him, although it wasn’t really reaching her eyes.

She stepped closer to Lin Xuanyu and secretly murmured, "Try harder next time," Mo Xingxue said, plain hostility in her voice as she carried Shen Guoxing and headed to the omega stall. Su Wanyan followed after Mo Xingxue. She passed by Lin Xuanyu and secretly smiled seeing his frustrated look.

As Su Wanyan turned her back on him, Su Wanyan could hear him clicking his tongue. Su Wanyan chuckled inwardly, before stopping dead in her tracks, wondering if she had gone crazy for seeing other people’s misfortunes.

Su Wanyan waited outside the omega stall, keeping a necessary distance from the entrance to show her respect for the omegas. She could’ve just waited outside, yes, but she didn’t want that. She wanted to be close to Mo Xingxue. Although this was an unfamiliar feeling, Su Wanyan felt it wasn’t so bad at all....

Su Wanyan shook her head left and right. What are you thinking about your friend?! Su Wanyan screamed inwardly. She wanted to slap herself, but she couldn’t as she was holding Mo Yan in her left arm, while she was holding the blanket and wipes in the other. Su Wanyan sighed. She let her back rest on the cold wall, the temperature slightly waking her up from her internal turmoil.

Su Wanyan sighed. She looked in front of her, staring blankly at the wall. As she was lost in thought, Mo Yan in her arms squirmed, snapping Su Wanyan out of her thoughts.

She looked down at the waking baby in her arms. Su Wanyan just stared at Mo Yan with a tender and soft gaze, waiting for the baby to fully wake up, momentarily pushing aside the complicated feelings she was feeling towards Mo Xingxue.

Then, after waiting for a few seconds, Mo Yan finally opened her soft phoenix eyes, her eyes still laden with sleep. "Good morning, baby," Su Wanyan said. She brought the tip of her nose to Mo Yan’s, giving her an Eskimo kiss. Little Mo Yan smiled, showing her perfect gummy smile. Su Wanyan smiled at that, finding Mo Yan more and more adorable.

"Yanyan?" Su Wanyan heard a familiar voice call out to her. Su Wanyan smiled and looked beside her and saw Mo Xingxue and Shen Guoxing, who had just come out of the bathroom. "Should we go get a quick lunch?" Su Wanyan asked, gesturing for a seat outside.

Mo Xingxue smiled and nodded, while Shen Guoxing brightened up at the idea. "Yeah!" she excitedly said. The two adults laughed at the energetic Shen Guoxing, shaking their heads fondly. Mo Xingxue gently scooped up Shen Guoxing in her arms. "Let’s drop that off first," Mo Xingxue said, pointing at the tools Su Wanyan was holding.

Su Wanyan nodded, following Mo Xingxue as she led the way back to the bus, the gentle morning sunlight illuminating the four of them in a gentle glow.
