Chapter 2924: Alfheim’s Barrier of Isolation IV
Information that would have been filtered by the ley lines entered the world tree as it becomes incredibly familiar with everything in Alfheim. Adrian would not have enabled this if the world tree simply asked him to create a protective barrier. What the world tree wanted is that it could see everything clearly inside of the barrier.
The world tree could already see a lot of things but it wanted to see everything. This meant that every change per second happening in the territory will flood the world tree. Such a burden would have been easy to the world tree but it is also receiving information from all around the world. If one were to compare it to size then the data in Alfheim is in megabits per second while the data from around the world is only in the kilobits per second.
The world tree did not expect such a drastic change in the information it received. It has prepared itself because Adrian gave a warning but it was actually heavier than it thought. The Heart of the World Tree suddenly started to beat louder and louder as more and more of the stress is pouring into it. Adrian made sure to monitor the state of the heart because the world tree dies if it gets destroyed.
Adrian will stop all of this if he even hears one small crack from the heart of the world tree. Adrian did not make it unbearably long for the world tree as prolonging it will increase the chances of the heart being destroyed. He needed to make it fast which is why he fused with Kenos to begin with. He needed the support and the ability for multitasking or else this process would have taken him six hours.
The world tree rustled as it started to bear immense strain but the heart has no signs of even being damaged. The heart of the world tree started to beat louder and louder until the entire territory can hear the beat of its heart. The people in the territory were starting to get scared but Anastacia has already given an announcement in advance regarding this. She is connected to the world tree in Alfheim and can also feel its condition.
[Everyone, please give your prayers to the Mother Tree. It needs our prayers to make it strong now as it is in the process of helping us erect a barrier.]
Anastacia announced throughout the entire territory which made all of the being in it kneel down and pray. The citizens of Alfheim started praying to the world tree and even the early visitors also did what the former did. All beings in Alfheim started to pray earnestly for the world tree to remain strong.
As the entire area is now a place where mana purity is high, the prayers of the people generated green orb of light above their heads. The faith that the people has for the world tree and the earnest faith they have has become a somewhat tangible thing. Emerald orbs of light manifested on top of all the praying citizens. They could be called as Emerald Fairy Lights as they took on the form of orbs with two to three inches in diameter.
The Emerald Fairy Lights then started to soar to the sky and then gather towards the world tree. The Emerald Fairy Lights that gathered towards the world tree would touch any part of its body and then seep into it. It did not take long for the entirety of Alfheim to be covered in the Emerald Fairy Lights as more and more are made. The Emerald Fairy Lights is tied to faith and the faith of the people increased even more when they saw this miracle taking place.
"Thank you, my children." The gentle voice of the world tree reverberated into the hearts of those that prayed for it.
Adrian could be seen somewhat struggling to combine all of the focal points into one but he is not giving up. If need be, Adrian twisted the dimensions himself when the boundaries could not be fused together. Adrian pushed everything to the limit as he absorbed more and more energy from the ley line. He could hear that the world tree itself is straining itself but the heart is still in pristine condition.
Adrian wanted to stop when it saw the world tree having a difficult time but the Emerald Fairy Lights suddenly started to seep towards the heart of the world tree. The Emerald Fairy Lights then started to coat the entirety of the world tree and made it emerald in color. As if the hearts of all the people in Alfheim have become one, the wind itself started to sing.
The Emerald Fairy Lights contained all the emotions and faith of the people to the world tree that has protected them and anchored the world. Each of the Emerald Fairy Lights contained the voices of the faithful. A mysterious phenomenon finally occurred when the Emerald Fairy Lights started to sing.
As if the mysterious phenomenon gave life to the Emerald Fairy Lights, the entirety of Alfheim could suddenly hear a chorale. The chorale was not powerful or daring but it contained the serene and honest voices of all beings from all walks of life. The song was so beautiful that all of the trees in Alfheim danced in accordance to the tune.
In fact, all of the people in Alfheim started to dance with the song as their hearts are filled with earnest love and joy. The Emerald Fairy Lights enhanced the world tree to such a powerful degree unlike every before that all of it became another layer of magic circles on the heart of the world tree. The reinforced heart made a powerful and steady sound compared to before that was erratic.
"Finally!" Adrian shouted as all of the insect hands he summoned from the void combined all of the boundaries together to fully activate the Barrier of Isolation.
