Chapter 521: Scaling The Domain Mountain! [3]
Before Sebastian embarked on the journey of scaling the Domain Mountain, after listening to numerous failure stories that were told by Quad, Sebastian had a good idea of the difficulty of his endeavor.
This was why apart from preparing by building his telekinesis powers advantage, he also strived to get the perfect plan.
Sebastian developed such a meticulous plan for this journey that he prepared so many contingency plans for numerous different scenarios.
This was why once he encountered his first setback; Sebastian did not panic as he simply switched to one of the contingency plans that were in his head.
Sebastian’s original plan A was to take advantage of the brainless attacking methods of the beast. Due to how one-dimensional their mode of attack was, he planned to directly tear a passage through their middle and get to his destination.
Unlike other Leviathons who could not create all the skills that they wanted for every possible scenario; Sebastian had the advantage of his system that enabled him to buy most skills that he needed for different scenarios.
All the telekinesis skills that he purchased were versatile in a way that he was confident that he could use them to make his plan a success.
Even if there was a loophole somewhere and the beasts somehow grew intelligent overnight and countered his plan, Sebastian believed that with his sturdy physique in his Domineering King Kong form, he could survive long enough to switch plans.
This was why Sebastian went on with the first strategy but since the Indomitables already scrambled that plan, he switched to another plan.
One main trait of the Domain Beasts was their ability to move in a specific formation between the Indomitables, the Pawns, and the Knights.
Due to Sebastian’s sudden entry, they still had not perfected this instinctive battle formation yet but they were working towards it.
Sebastian’s plan to counter the appearance of the Indomitables was to scramble the surrounding so much that they could not form their formation.
Without forming their formation, the brainless beasts were sure to be confused and would start fighting chaotically and this could also provide a means for him to avoid direct contact with the lethal attacks of the Leviathons.
[You have activated skill: Force Tsunami!]
Bzzz!
Once the tsunami picked up, the Domain Beasts were thrown into a frenzy as most of them were torn apart by the force while the others were thrown into different directions, scattering their formation further.
The Knights tried to improvise and give Sebastian a lot of problems but he counter-improvised and beat them at their own game.
[You have activated skill: Telekinesis Force!]
[You have activated skill: Force Blades!]
[You have activated skill: Mind Invasion!]
[You have activated skill: Meatgrinder!]
Sebastian left no stone unturned as he made use of all his skills. Having practiced for scenarios like this, he made perfect use of his skills to create opportunities and extricate himself from dangerous situations.
He was like a jack of all trades and master of all. When it came to attacking, he could use it perfectly to tear through the defense of the Domain Beasts, and his defense was equally compact enough to keep himself alive throughout.
This way, Sebastian managed to survive past the 1st and 2nd hour with some injuries as he continued his mad journey up the Domain Mountain.
Despite 2 hours though, he was still nowhere near the peak of the Domain Mountain, he was just starting and the most painful fact was that his energy was already waning, his mind was slowly getting exhausted from the persistent usage.
Sebastian had a contingency plan for when he got tired also.
[You have activated skill: Force Bombs!]
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Sebastian suddenly changed directions and blew a hole through the formation of the Domain Beasts to the right in the direction of the mountain.
During this risky run, he was unlucky and got hit by a direct attack of one of the Indomitables again but Sebastian was able to get to his destination.
[You have activated skill: Domineering King Kong Physique!]
As Sebastian expanded in size, he accelerated further and broke a hole through the massive Domain Mountain inside. Once he got inside, he spammed Telekinesis walls everywhere as he started a game of hide and seek with the beasts.
This was his strategy to slowly recover his mental energy. As a purple-tier predator, he didn’t exactly need sleep to recover his mental energy anymore.
5 hours later using this strategy, Sebastian recovered to his peak, and out he came again to continue his journey of scaling the Domain Mountain.
This plan worked for Sebastian for the next 2 days as he scaled the mountain to a very high point but he slowly started facing a great difficulty, this difficulty was the sheer number of Domain Beasts that he had to go up against.
The test of the Ocean King adjusted to the tier of the descendant that was taking it, and at this point, it was adjusted to the purple tier realm which gave Sebastian a little advantage.
This advantage was one of the reasons why he got this far but it could not take him all the way through, the Domain Beasts were just that numerous.
With time, Sebastian really became exposed to the terrifying depths of their numbers. They were essentially inexhaustible.
And the more Sebastian scaled the mountain and got to his goal, the more attracted they seemed to him which made his work harder when he was already depreciating in concentration due to his lack of sleep.
At this point, Sebastian was no longer sure if he was going up against a thousand, ten thousand, or a million Domain Beasts, they were just everywhere.
Bam! Bam! Bam!
Sebastian attacked to an extent where he just kept on attacking instinctively even when his brain was not comprehending exactly what he was doing.
For 5 days, Sebastian continued his quest to scale the mountain to the peak.
Unknowing to Sebastian, once he crossed the 5th day, his brave journey became known to some of the more influential Leviathons in this Domain World.
These beasts after living centuries here were already accustomed to the test of the Ocean King and already devised means to measure the progress of any beast who took the test.
The previous record was achieved by one of the Leviathons who later became a Black tier predator, Lord Rudock at 6 days and 3 hours.
The most astonishing fact of this was that in just 5 days, Sebastian already exceeded the peak of the mountain that the legendary Lord Rudock got to and though he slowed down, Sebastian still had not shown signs of stopping.
As more time passed, Sebastian’s run attracted more powerful and influential Leviathons, even those who were in a deep slumber looking for the inspiration that they needed to level up to the ultimate Black tier realm.
The 6th day came and Sebastian still continued persevering. The weight of becoming the Ocean Master that Sebastian shouldered weighed on him so much that he was ready to do everything to achieve it and save his loved ones.
He did not want to rot in this Domain World while the outside world burned and his loved ones died. If that happened, then living would be more torturous than death to him which was why he kept on persevering.
The 7th day came, then the 8th, then the 9th, and then the 10th day. On the 10th day, Sebastian could hardly make any move as he was cornered from every single angle by the Domain Beasts who were ready to bite his head off.
By this point, Sebastian’s enthusiasm and conviction to finish the test already waned a lot and were slowly being replaced by confusion.
The more Sebastian persevered with his little remaining consciousness, the more he discovered a pattern that challenged a lot of the truths about this Domain World that Poker explained to him.
And if he was right, it meant that...
"Holy Sh*t!"
"We were all wrong from the beginning!"
Bonk!
Sebastian was finally hammered by one of the relentless Knights as he came falling down mightily from the height that he scaled to. Sebastian felt more resentment about what all the Leviathons missed than the fact that he was hit down.
In the end, pride really came before a fall, they were so f*cking sure!
Sebastian fell down mightily, bringing an end to his impressive test run.
