Chapter 463: Meeting The Patriarch.
With Sebastian’s arrival, the Great White Kingdom was thrown into a feisty mood of celebration, the news that another of the clan patriarch’s sons just returned was enough to send the whole city into a frenzy.
From the reaction of the Great White Sharks, it easily became known that Sebastian was not the first son of the patriarch to have returned.
As they were led to the part of the city that was given as accommodation for them, Tungsten was amazed as he swam through this massive city of mutated beasts of the same species that he was.
Since his birth, this was the first time that Tungsten had ever seen such a large gathering of Great White Sharks, it felt unbelievable.
As Tungsten swam and as he looked, seeing so many sharks of the same species that he was, and feeling the harmony between them, he smiled.
"Master, you were right, he led us to our sanctum".
As he swam through the massive city of Great White Sharks with his family, Tungsten was amazed as he started feeling melancholic. At this moment, thinking back, he was shocked to discover that Old Mak may have seen the future.
He still vividly remembered what his master told him shortly after Sebastian entered the clan back then.
Then, his curiosity led him to ask his master since that was the first time in the history of the clan that the clan head himself welcomed a newcomer.
Then, Old Mak’s reply left him puzzled but now he understood.
"Tungsten, your question is slightly tricky but I’ll answer".
"The first reason for my actions is that he is a Megalodon, not a Great White Shark. At the orange tier realm, that is nothing short of legendary".
Tungsten remembered exclaiming in shock when he heard that, it was the next words of his master that left him puzzled.
"The first reason is feasible but not really enough, my 2nd and last reason is the real catalyst that pushed me towards welcoming the shark myself".
"Fighting Octumpedam alongside Sebastian was the most impactful battle of my life. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve fought battles more intensive than that but the feeling I felt fighting that battle was so much different from the others".
"I didn’t understand why at first but after returning to the clan and thinking hard did I understand the hint being given by my intuition".
"From then, I knew that Sebastian was special".
"We’ve lived here prosperously for decades, but I always feel that this is a cave prison. Besides, my intuition of danger keeps ringing ominously for decades already, I feel that something really bad would happen soon".
"And now, my intuition tells me that Sebastian is probably the key".
"I feel that Sebastian is the one that’ll lead us to our sanctum".
On saying this, Tungsten remembered Old Mak’s eyes glittering as he envisioned the future in his imagination. Out of curiosity, Tungsten asked.
"What is our sanctum?"
"I don’t know", Old Mak laughed, "I guess you can call it our shelter, our place of rest, peace, and prosperity, that’s the best place to live that is on my mind".
"Wow, do you believe that Sebastian can do that?"
"I don’t believe, since my intuition believes, that’s enough for me".
As Tungsten remembered all these, his expression could not help but turn complicated. "I wish you were here to witness it, master".
This was only Tungsten’s first day in the Great White Kingdom, but he already believed and trusted it as the sanctum that Old Mak envisioned.
This was why Tungsten confidently led his clan members in as they joined the celebrations. To him, Sebastian bringing them here was worth celebrating.
While the Great White Sharks celebrated, Sebastian was led to meet his dad.
Facing this moment that he already anticipated and prepared for, Sebastian was disappointed that he still felt weird and out of place. He felt nervous and it was killing him.
The only parents that he ever knew in his life were back on earth, but back then, his luck was really terrible as he didn’t even get to enjoy their company.
When he was just 8, they both died in a car accident, he was the only one who survived. He could still remember the scene as he looked at his bleeding mom and dad as life slowly drained out of them.
The trauma from all these was one of the main reasons why he became an anatomist and subsequently became known as the crazy dissector.
After living since 8 for so many years, already forgetting what having a parent felt like, Sebastian felt weird as he was about to experience it again.
He tried to temper his expectations, After all, this was nothing but a Great White Shark but this still couldn’t stop the excitement that was in his heart.
The 3 purple tier Great White Sharks didn’t lead him to the palace of the Great White Kingdom as he expected, rather they led him to a remote part of the city where a well-taken care beautiful green garden was located.
There, Sebastian met his dad for the first time.
Sebastian was not wrong; this was the exact same shark that he met and spoke with during his last visit to the illusion realm.
The main difference between both was that this shark was a lot more intimidating physically, and his aggressive aura of tyranny radiated with boundless energy, Sebastian felt like he was looking at a giant as a dwarf.
Domino, the patriarch of the Great White Kingdom and the leader of the sharks was a powerful Megalodon that hovered at an astonishing size of 30 meters.
Sebastian always made this mistake, but it was on meeting his dad physically that he confirmed for the first time that his dad was a Megalodon.
The patriarch of the Great White Kingdom was a Red tier Megalodon.
As Sebastian looked up at this massive beast, he was stunned speechless. Instantly, he forgot all the speech that he prepared for this moment as father and son just kept on staring at each other.
While Sebastian stared at his father, dumbstruck, the powerful Megalodon stared down at his son affectionately.
The patriarch finally spoke. "My son".
