Chapter 453: The Next Step.
Sebastian’s plan was extremely ambitious and it took all initiative from the hands of the Firelight Shark Clan, but in the end, Tungsten agreed.
After the current upheavals stirring the Green Mist Sea were personally explained by Sebastian, Tungsten, Strong, and Queen Heareth already knew that this was not something to be taken lightly.
At this moment, they could not feel the heat of the Orca Revolution to know how big it was but they knew that other parts of the Green Mist Sea felt it.
After what happened to the old clan where Old Mak was taken by surprise, leading to a near-annihilation state of the clan, Tungsten was now experienced and vowed never to be caught off guard by such circumstances.
Even if he was not a capable leader, he knew that deciding to stay in one place while hoping to ride out the incoming storm peacefully was foolish.
This was the reason why Tungsten agreed with Sebastian’s plan.
Deciding to integrate with the Great White Kingdom could lead to a lot of adverse effects. Joining such a large Great White Shark community, they would probably lose their identity and blend with the Great White Kingdom culture.
This and a lot of other reasons almost dissuaded Tungsten from agreeing to the plan originally, but in the end, only one argument made him firm, survival.
In Oceania, in the Green Mist Sea, and most especially now in this period of the Orca Revolution, survival became a more exotic commodity.
As their survival was on the line, Tungsten was ready to make any concessions so long as they survived. After Old Mak and the elder’s sacrifice, he grew up, he knew the importance of survival better.
This was the reason why Tungsten vehemently refused to leave the fate of his clan to luck, he would rather take the bull by the horns and lead them to the Great White Kingdom while they still could.
Besides, this was not a right but was a privilege. If Sebastian was not here, perhaps, they would have never had an option as good as this.
This was the reason why after accepting, Tungsten took his time to appreciate Sebastian. What Sebastian just did to the clan may seem small, but the more he grew, the more Tungsten appreciated some favors.
The previous Tungsten would have probably shrugged this off as a normal bro help, but this Tungsten didn’t, he appreciated Sebastian properly.
Sebastian did not just appear to save the Firelight Shark Clan when they needed it the most, he also now gave them a free passage to survival.
Sebastian took Tungsten’s appreciation calmly, but it was when Strong and Queen Heareth deemed it right to join that he finally felt awkward.
He tried to diffuse the atmosphere, turning it normal again as the 4 of them had a small feast to commemorate this moment before they departed.
They all left to start their preparations to leave.
Before leaving, the 3 most powerful sharks of the Firelight Shark Clan had a lot of preparations to do. They did not just have to inform all the sharks, they also had to make preparations for everything valuable to them to be taken along.
Relocation for beast clans was a big deal, especially when they had a pen and other important departments of the clan that needed special attention.
While Queen Heareth went to the pen to handle the diffusion of the information about the decision to leave, Strong went to his army to push his soldiers back to tip-top shape, while Tungsten continued his administrative duties.
In just a few minutes, the part of the 1st Den of Anatomy that was reserved for the Firelight Shark Clan became a hive of activity as the Great White Sharks started preparations for their great migration.
While the sharks did this, Sebastian went back to meet his anatomists.
Before leaving also, as the leader of the 1st Den of Anatomy, he had a lot of things that he needed to put in place.
Though Sebastian already decided to leave his Atlantian body here to take charge of all activities here, he still wanted to address his anatomists one last time in his main body to leave an impression on them.
Also, he wanted to properly explain his new rules to the anatomists on how the 1st Den of Anatomy should be run.
Sebastian didn’t have to say much, once all the anatomists were gathered, he explained the general rules to them before allocating positions to them.
Of course, his Atlantian body would still be the main lead anatomist of the 1st Den of Anatomy while Doctor Josephine and Doctor Craban would be his assistants, including his part-time assistant, Doctor Eliana.
After he called the names of his assistants, all the remaining anatomists sighed as they already expected it but what he said next surprised them.
Sebastian knew the importance of motivation, and he didn’t want the motivation of his anatomists to dampen because of an established paradigm that would make them feel that they had too low chances of rising up the ladder.
This was the reason why he left them a way to climb the ladder.
Sebastian established his first merit system, modeling it slightly after the model that was used in Old Mak’s shark clan. The merit system rewarded points for successful research and any achievements related to anatomy.
Once enough points were accumulated, an anatomist could climb higher through the ladder until he got to the exalted rank of being Sebastian’s assistant.
After leaving the 1st Den of Anatomy, Sebastian had no idea what life had in store for him out there. He could die on his first day out, or he could experience things that would keep him out there for years without ever coming back.
Sebastian had no idea when he would visit the 1st Den of Anatomy or if he would even visit it again, this was why he wanted everything to be in order before he left for his adventure across Oceania.
After making sure that all the points that he made hit home, Sebastian finally brought the meeting with his anatomists to a close.
All the anatomists wished him Goodluck on his journey before leaving. Doctor Josephine was the last to wish him Good luck and leave, leaving him with only one person, Eliana.
After the 1 week of vacation, the relationship between the both of them already increased so much that they now felt so natural accompanying each other.
Just to spend more time alongside one of his bodies which was his Atlantian body, Eliana was ready to pull strings back in her Clown Empire, and it was what granted her the grace to be a part-time assistant anatomist here.
Though speaking to a Megalodon in a romantic manner as a clownfish was weird, Eliana and Sebastian learned to adapt to it and live above it. They spent a few hours in the company of each other before they finally separated.
...
In an isolated part of the 1st Den of Anatomy, Sebastian looked at his new living doppelganger affectionately.
This scenario felt weird as it was like he was looking at himself from a mirror, but Sebastian didn’t care as the majesty of this new body of his never failed to amaze him, he really did the impossible with this living doppelganger.
As the living doppelganger looked back at the main body, Sebastian felt like he was looking at himself from the perspective of himself in another body.
After looking to his fill, Sebastian finally kept his ultimate war vessel in his head, then he turned to leave this isolated part of the secret base.
It was time to leave.
