Chapter 435: Returning To The Temple Of Primordial Mana.
After the party, Sebastian spent 2 days sleeping to recover his strength.
After the long period of rest, on waking up, he was plagued by terrible hunger as his insides felt like they were turned upside down by a spatula. To his joy though, the Mana Lords already provided prey for him.
Sebastian descended on the prey with gusto, filling his stomach in seconds.
When he finally calmed down, this was when he discovered that he got to rest for the past few days inside the settlement of an influential Mana Lord.
This Mana Lord was not battle crazy like the others; he was just an orange tier predator but he was a blossoming business lord. Unlike his brothers, he used his mana advantages to build a business empire that flourished.
To Sebastian’s surprise, Minato’s business empire did not end in Manapedia, his business empire actually spread to other parts of the Green Mist Sea.
His business empire dealt with magic gadgets and weapons, his Minato Empire was a veteran in the business of creating and selling magic gadgets.
Mana Lords were prohibited from interfering extensively with the struggles and conflicts of other beast races, but business was not prohibited.
Sebastian spent the whole morning socializing with this Mana Lord business guru before he regrouped with his companions.
This was their first official meeting after Sebastian’s sudden rise to stardom in Manapedia, and his relationship with the others seemed to change as Strong, Tungsten, and the others sincerely congratulated him for his achievements.
They didn’t know how much Sebastian gained from all these, but they knew that it was definitely much. They didn’t envy him much though, they knew that he got all these due to his strength, so he deserved them all.
Strong was even more straightforward as he expressed his admiration for Sebastian, he vowed to replicate the same feat someday.
After Sebastian got to know the name of his 13 new brothers that they met here, he vaguely explained his circumstances to them before finally embarking on his journey back to the Temple of Primordial Mana.
Sebastian was ready to try his luck again in this temple and see how much he could push for benefits in this once-in-a-lifetime encounter.
On getting to the temple, Sebastian discovered that all 5 of his companions already entered the temple a day before this. He was the last.
Sebastian had 40 hours to spend inside this temple with his 20 mana comprehension crystals, he hoped to maximize the advantages that these presented despite the odds that were against him.
Having gotten a breakthrough in his origin law comprehension already, his chances of upgrading it again this time seemed marginal.
It may seem better to keep these mana comprehension crystals till he accumulated experience again, and was confident of brute-forcing his way to another breakthrough with them but Sebastian didn’t see this as feasible.
Manapedia was just one of the numerous encounters that Sebastian believed that he would encounter in his quest to become the Ocean Master.
Instead of keeping it for the future, he believed in empowering himself with them now so that he could fully focus on the future.
Once he made up his mind, Sebastian made his move.
On seeing him swim closer, none of the guards of the Temple of Primordial Mana stopped him as Sebastian was allowed passage inside the sacred temple.
Clang!
As the massive doors of the temple’s first floor opened up, Sebastian tried to make peace with his mind as he finally swam inside.
Bzzz!
Instantly, Sebastian’s world turned black.
The Temple of Primordial Mana had 15 floors, and each floor corresponded to how much a user comprehended the origin laws of Oceania.
Each climb of the levels decided how much a predator comprehended. The mana comprehension crystals were responsible for increasing the speed of comprehension, but it all boiled down to the predator in the end.
Sebastian entered through the door to the first floor, but he appeared on the 2nd floor which was the floor dedicated to predators with an overall origin law comprehension of the intermediate level.
The 1st floor was for those with initial-level comprehension, the 2nd to 3rd levels were for those with intermediate-level comprehension, the 4th to 6th level was for those with advanced-level comprehension.
The 7th to 10th level was for those with Red master level origin law comprehension, while the 11th to 15th level was for those with Black grandmaster level origin law comprehension.
According to Monolith, only Sea Kings had ever gotten to the 13th and 14th level of origin law comprehension, and no predator in Oceania, including the previous Ocean King, had ever attained 15th level comprehension.
Legends say that at the 15th level, all mysteries become plain to the predator who attains it, the world turns into a textbook that can be read to him/her.
Sebastian wondered if the 15th level was a myth.
Sebastian could only wonder for the first few seconds after entering the 2nd level of the temple though because he was soon engrossed.
The Temple of Primordial Mana was not just a temple, it was a giant magic gadget that worked with the primordial origin magic itself as its sustenance.
This temple worked its wonders by dragging the mind of its users into its 15 mana world temple floors where it enables them to look at magic, Oceania, and its laws from the perspective of the primordial origin magic.
Origin law comprehension entailed comprehending more about the laws and nature of the primordial origin essence relative to the magic phenomenon.
The Temple of Primordial Mana provided a convenient environment that accelerated this action several folds, making comprehension a lot easier.
After the first few seconds since entering the 2nd floor of the temple, Sebastian’s mind finally became exposed to the mysteries of the primordial origin magic in a way that he had not seen before.
The primordial origin magic was the consciousness that controlled and powered the mighty weapon called Oceania. It was responsible for every magic phenomenon and every natural law.
Now, Sebastian’s mind became exposed to the profound mysteries behind how all these phenomena and processes happened.
He could not resist it; he was engrossed immediately.
The mysteries of the primordial origin magic were too much, Sebastian’s mind was like a kid who appeared in a grocery shop, spoiled for choice on what to take and what was good for him.
In this mind world filled with numerous profound mysteries, Sebastian took a lot of time to adapt to the new circumstances and took even more time before he understood to navigate and search for mysteries that were related to him.
Once he understood, Sebastian finally started navigating and searching for what was related to him. He didn’t know how much time he already spent in this world, but his consciousness told him that he had spent a lot already.
After a long time of searching, Sebastian finally found a familiar common ground. He finally found a mystery that resonated with who he was as a predator.
Sebastian felt the resonance from afar.
"Sound!!!"
