Chapter 424: Sebastian, The Undisputed Winner!
Sebastian came out on top in the epic showdown against Monolith!
After a fierce battle that spanned across kilometers in the Forest of Soaring Devourers, even though Sebastian came out on top, Monolith the Mana Lord was able to win his respect.
Despite being a purple tier predator also, the fact that Monolith was able to give Sebastian such a challenge proved the might of this powerful predator.
Since he got his magic domain, this was the first time that a predator of the same tier ever pushed Sebastian to fight with such intensity.
Monolith was a real warrior!
In this showdown, Sebastian was not only able to fight to his limits again, but he was also able to exceed them and benefit massively.
Outside Manapedia, even when he fought against the Leviathon, Sebastian tried to exceed his limits numerous times, but the benefits from all these could not compare to this one battle that he fought against Monolith.
In this battle, he finally broke the deadlock, creating a new killer move. In all the benefits that Sebastian already got since coming to this world, this was definitely the crystallizing one in his opinion.
Since arriving in Manapedia, Sebastian had only spent a little more than a day but he believed that he would be leaving as a different Megalodon.
Manapedia was just different, this was a real cultivation world to Sebastian.
With time, Sebastian discovered that the advantages that Manapedia offered eclipsed just access to unlimited mana. Sebastian slowly discovered that Manapedia was a world that granted him closer access to the origin of Oceania.
In this world, Sebastian was at his best in every criterion. It may be because he was a Mana Lord now, but Manapedia now felt like home to him.
Manapedia succeeded in bringing the best in him.
In the first few minutes that he appeared in this world, Sebastian succeeded in revolutionizing his use of his Doppelganger and Invisibility skill, creating something that he never even thought of before.
Now, in just less than 24 hours later, he received a burst of inspiration again that succeeded in pushing him to create his 2nd killer move.
His original motive for coming here was for his own demon Kyuubi existence, but he already got a lot more than he originally bargained for.
Even putting the 2 tangible gains that he got in the form of revolutionizing his unique skill and the killer move that he created, Sebastian believed that just the exposure that widened his horizons of Oceania was enough of a benefit already.
In here, he didn’t just get exposed to an isolated world that was even more fantastical than Oceania itself, he met the majestic Mana Lords also.
"Coming to Manapedia is the best thing that has happened to me in months".
With Monolith being eliminated from the race, though it was cruel, all the highlights transferred to Sebastian as he became the undisputed leader.
After devouring all of Monolith’s Induction points and the 50 points that he got from eliminating him, Sebastian now saw himself at a staggering amount of 3530 Induction points!
At this moment, his leadership was uncontested, no one came close.
The contestant nearest to him now was so far below that he was not worth mentioning. Without a doubt, Sebastian won the strength test already but he was not satisfied with this as he wanted to achieve more.
He wanted to fight even more Chaos Mongers, and eliminate even contestants to see if he would receive another inspiration opportunity.
In his opinion, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and he was not about to squander it, Sebastian wanted to savor it while it lasted.
For the next 2 hours, Sebastian continued his rampage across the Forest of the Soaring Devourers. In this time, though he did not manage to get another inspiration, his Induction points tally reached a staggering 4210 points.
At this point, the spectating Mana Lords were already so numb from the shocking sights that they now saw Sebastian as an alien.
A few minutes later, the last contestants were finally eliminated, leaving the 3 alphas who came out on top in the strength test of the Induction ceremony.
Sebastian, Megalodon-3 with 4210 Induction points, Menea with 1340 Induction points, and Malaga with 1200 Induction points.
Sebastian won the strength test by a landslide.
Once the strength test finally came to an end, the space walls surrounding the forest were finally removed as Sebastian and the remaining 2 contestants who qualified were teleported back to the Temple of Primordial Mana.
Sebastian wanted to check the wellbeing of his 2 companions, but the arrangement of the Mana Lords did not allow that as the award-giving ceremony followed immediately after each of the tests.
For the first time, Sebastian swam close enough to the Temple of Primordial Mana to feel the unique aura that emanated from it.
Seeing this massive temple that was built like a Pagoda again, and feeling its aura up close, Sebastian once again confirmed that coming here was a blessing.
Though from his deductions, Sebastian already confirmed it, he still heaved a deep sigh of relief when he confirmed that taking 1st position did not put him in a hostile relationship with the Mana Lords.
To his shock though, most of the spectating Mana Lords now adored him and this was all because he took on the Mana Lord evolution route.
"Life really has numerous ways to shock you". He chuckled inwardly.
While Sebastian had his silly delusions in his mind, the same Red tier Mana Lord who presented the awards for the first test appeared again. Another 3 glowing tomes already appeared before the massive predator again.
"Malaga, for your heroic feats of clinging to 3rd place in the speed test of the induction ceremony, you did not only set yourself apart from your peers, but you also made your ancestors proud".
"Take your reward".
As the massive Mana Lord took his award, the Red tier Mana Lord continued to the next contestant who qualified for the rewards.
"Menea, you have proved your strength by taking 2nd place".
"Take your reward".
Menea reverently grabbed the glowing tome with her tentacles before going to the side where a group of contestant Mana Lords was already gathered.
When it came to Sebastian’s turn, the Red tier Mana Lord’s voice changed. "Megalodon-3, what is your name?"
"Sebastian". Sebastian answered without thinking too much about it.
"Good". The Red tier Mana Lord smiled. "Children of Mana, let us praise the Primordial Mana for having provided us with an anomaly genius like this".
All the Mana Lords responded as they cheered at the top of their voices, Sebastian’s ears almost burst into jelly before the noise finally stopped.
"Sebastian, you achieved 2 legendary feats today".
"In the long and illustrious history of us Mana Lords, there has never been a point where a visitor managed to climb high enough to take any of our awards but you broke all conventions and took 1st place".
"I respect that, you’re a warrior!"
"The 2nd legendary feat that you achieved today is your point tally. In the illustrious history of our race, none of our youngsters has ever gotten above 3800 Induction points, but you did it".
"I think these 2 feats are enough to highlight your performance".
"Your achievements are iconic, and your reward shall be also iconic".
After the Red tier Mana Lord gave his speech, he made his move, doing the same thing that he did to Meuer the previous 1st place winner to Sebastian.
Like previously, the green light shining on the Red tier Mana Lord’s head seeped into Sebastian’s head as he seemed to become intoxicated immediately.
Sebastian’s consciousness seemed to leave his body for a moment.
