Chapter 330: Chapter 170: Soldier-Devouring Sword (Part 2)
The ground roiled as two figures used the Earth Travel Technique, heading straight for Fang Shuwen’s feet.
Another two split off to his sides, closing in on his arms.
The low, mournful drone of a xun flute emerged, seemingly out of nowhere, as if to draw out the most hidden bloodlust from the depths of one’s heart and fray the edges of reason.
In that instant, the seven assassins unleashed their signature skills. The Seven Kills Hall Master himself held nothing back.
Feng Jihen and Hu Yue’e watched, their pupils constricting in shock.
Even Residual Snow Black Sword, perched on the flying eaves, raised an eyebrow.
He was curious to see if Fang Shuwen could escape a situation where death lurked on all sides.
That’s right—just escape!
Residual Snow Black Sword felt that if Fang Shuwen could even manage to get away, it would be an incredible feat. As for a counterattack... he didn’t believe Fang Shuwen had it in him.
Especially not now that two hands had burst from the ground to clamp firmly around Fang Shuwen’s ankles.
Even if he could sprout wings, there was no escaping this.
"It’s over..."
Residual Snow Black Sword shook his head, feeling a bit disappointed.
’My sword is still sheathed.’
However, in the very next instant—THUD!
The sound reached Residual Snow Black Sword’s ears in the brief moment he turned his head away, and he instinctively snapped his gaze back.
He saw dirt fly as Fang Shuwen simply took a step forward.
With absurd, brute strength, he had ripped the assassin clean out of the ground.
The Seven Kills Hall Master’s palm, wreathed in endless black energy, failed to even brush the hem of Fang Shuwen’s robes before Fang Shuwen seized him by the face.
CRACK!
The blood-red mask crumbled beneath Fang Shuwen’s fingers, punctuated by a short, sharp scream from the Seven Kills Hall Master. The shattering fragments must have sliced his face.
But such a minor detail was completely unimportant.
Because in the next instant, Fang Shuwen swung him in a full circle and hurled him away.
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
The Seven Kills Hall Master flew like a rag doll, smashing through the blood corpses in his path and leaving shattered remains in his wake.
In all fairness, the Seven Kills Hall Master couldn’t be blamed.
The blood corpses, specially crafted by the Blood Sea Ghost Lady, were fragile by design.
They were meant to be smashed, thereby dousing their attackers with the potent poison held within.
Now that the Seven Kills Hall Master was plowing through them, they shattered even more spectacularly. He didn’t even have time to let out a proper scream before the crimson poison enveloped his body.
His figure seemed to shrink as he flew, his flesh melting into liquid. In the end, even his skeleton was eaten away, leaving only a skull to slam violently into a black-robed figure.
Still, the force of the impact was not to be underestimated.
The skull shattered upon impact with the Blood Sea Ghost Lady, but the force of the blow sent her flying into the air.
Before she could hit the ground, a hand suddenly reached out of thin air and grabbed her head.
"You’re the one who made these wretched things?
"Tell me. How?"
Fang Shuwen’s fingers tightened slightly, and the Blood Sea Ghost Lady let out a piercing scream.
But just then, an intense feeling of danger washed over him. Fang Shuwen snapped his head to the side just as a blast of Sword Qi erupted from beneath the woman’s hood.
The moment it appeared, it became a torrential river, surging up to defy the very heavens!
The River of Sword Qi!!
This was a truly unexpected development.
Fang Shuwen scoffed, then broke into a hearty laugh.
"Excellent, just excellent. You’ve given me one surprise after another tonight.
"Ye Wufeng’s River of Sword Qi... erupting from *you*?
"Could anything in this world be more absurd?"
But because of this, Fang Shuwen suddenly lost the desire to kill her.
He had to find out how she created those wretched things, and how she was able to unleash the River of Sword Qi.
With a thought, he sent his Inner Strength coursing through her body, then flung her at Feng Jihen’s feet.
"Tie her up."
How could Feng Jihen possibly hesitate?
With one hand being inconvenient, he simply called over men from the Feng Family Manor to truss the Blood Sea Ghost Lady up like a hog.
Fang Shuwen, meanwhile, turned on his heel, his form blinking to another location.
In his haste to kill the Seven Kills Hall Master and capture the Blood Sea Ghost Lady, he hadn’t yet dealt with the other assassins from Seven Kills Hall.
Now, seeing that Fang Shuwen was an insurmountable opponent, they were trying to flee.
But how could Fang Shuwen let them get their wish?
With a flicker of movement, he appeared, blocking their path.
They exchanged a look, knew their chance to escape was gone, and roared in defiance:
"We’ll fight him to the death!"
But Fang Shuwen had no interest in talking to them. Who would want to chat with a bunch of dead men?
He clasped his hands together and, with a WHOOSH, a colossal Fire God Dharma Aspect materialized from thin air.
He then channeled his palms, using Fire God’s Fury to unleash Anger Burning Heaven!!
In that instant, the Fire God Dharma Aspect behind Fang Shuwen grew ferocious, its original two arms multiplying into four.
The ribbons that had been floating ethereally behind it transformed into a furious Buddha Wheel.
As Fang Shuwen pushed his hands forward, flames blazed in the Dharma Aspect’s eyes. Its massive mouth gaped open as all four of its arms struck out simultaneously.
A cloud of fire filled the sky, scorching all life in every direction.
The assassins from Seven Kills Hall bore the brunt of the attack, instantly incinerated into chunks of charcoal.
Following them were the blood corpses and the other disciples of Seven Kills Hall.
Fang Shuwen, drawing upon his Fourfold Comprehension and the Martial Arts experience from the battle in Anyue City, had recombined this move from the Celestial Intent Four Symbols Technique and the Great Black Heaven God Palm. It was nothing short of a stroke of genius.
