Chapter 989: Chapter 989: Explaining_1

She started out even higher than Hannah Winter when the talent show began.

Why couldn’t she just quietly be a vase!

Tears slid from her eyes, but Sunny Lee’s gaze remained piercing, filled with dissatisfaction.

Lucy Taylor remained calm as she stated a fact, "Sunny Lee, it was you who chose to betray us in the first place. No one forced you."

After finishing, she entered the company building with Christopher Lee, leaving behind a wooden-faced Sunny.

In the distance, Tiffany Lynch, who had just made her first public appearance since the last scuffle on set, had become the "darling" of the reporters.

But the questions asked weren’t exactly friendly.

Her agent had advised Tiffany not to court this kind of attention, saying it would be the same to enter through the back door of the company building, to avoid being mocked again.

But Tiffany rejected the idea without a second thought.

"So what if I’m badmouthed? Haven’t you always said that bad publicity is still publicity? Hannah used that to turn her situation around at the beginning, and if she can do it, so can I," she retorted.

The agent could only opt for silence.

Some things were hard to say.

Hannah could whitewash her image successfully because she never did those things to begin with. At worst, she was just a bit vain, but the mud slung at you, Tiffany, is based on reality.

However, with more experiences, one’s mindset naturally stabilizes.

No matter how the reporters threw questions, Tiffany didn’t bite, just kept posing for the cameras with an utterly perfect and graceful smile.

The journalists couldn’t stand watching any longer, especially since they couldn’t pry anything useful from Tiffany, so they straightforwardly left, leaving her standing alone awkwardly on the spot.

They could still hear their discussion in the distance.

"How come we haven’t seen Hannah today? She wouldn’t miss this, would she?"

"How could she not show up? With such a big event, it would be odd if she didn’t. Their group is now just riding on Hannah’s fame, aren’t they?"

"I’ve heard that Hannah has a financial backer."

"Did you dig anything up? Who’s this backer?"

"Who knows? I heard they’re pretty powerful and not to be messed with. Nobody dares to investigate. Compared to making money, I think staying alive is more important. If you really want to dig, you might as well dig into the person behind Tiffany."

"She’s a mess when it comes to relationships. First, she got involved with the President of Prideful Entertainment, and then she seduced his brother!"

The others murmured in admiration, complementing their professional insight.

Tiffany stamped her foot in frustration upon hearing this and eventually turned and entered the building as well.

Among everyone, Tiffany Lynch was the last to arrive.

But no one cared about her, not even Heather Harrison and Ginny, who used to stick closely by her side.

They had cozied up to Tiffany before, solely for the sake of the benefits that came with her affluent backer.

But they ended up with nothing, and now, with Tiffany involved in an assault incident, they naturally wanted to keep their distance.

Of course, the most important issue on hand was the team’s rumored disbanding.

They naturally disagreed with it.

A group of people gathered inside the conference room.

Many had witnessed Teresa Gordon and Jack Stewart’s heated discussion earlier and knew what it was about.

But looking at Teresa’s expression now, it was hard to guess what the final decision was.

Teresa’s gaze first landed on Hannah, then swept over the others, her words measured, "Does anyone want to explain to me the trending topic about our team disbanding this time?"
