Chapter 974: Chapter 974 But You Still Like It_1
Instead, a spring breeze-like tenderness and warmth arose.
He held the small person in his arms and gently stroked her back over and over again, lowering his head to kiss her brow, "Is there anything else you want to ask now?"
Hannah hugged his waist and looked up at him, "Does the Yarn Family still have a lost little daughter?"
Arnold Simmons nodded, "Indeed, there is, but that was over twenty years ago. Due to the Yarn family’s reputation, it’s rarely brought up anymore."
Seeing Hannah’s interest, Arnold Simmons shared the inside story he knew as well.
It wasn’t too different from what she already knew.
However, it was through Arnold Simmons’s words that Hannah learned more about Roy Yarn’s father, Oliver Quach’s story.
Back then, although the Quach Family wasn’t as wealthy and powerful as the Yarn Family, their presence was always strong.
Oliver Quach, as the youngest son whom the Quach Family found after many years of separation, was naturally doted on by the entire family. Even though he had an older brother, the two brothers were very close in their affections.
Yet, having been "forced to leave home" for many years, Oliver Quach’s relationship with his family was never particularly close. So, when the Quach Family decided to relocate abroad, Oliver Quach did not follow but chose to stay behind to complete his studies.
It was precisely because of this that he later met Grace Yarn.
Hannah listened attentively.
Arnold Simmons affectionately pinched her hand and continued, "After moving abroad, the one who took over the Quach family business was their eldest son, Hector Quach. The two brothers have kept in touch all these years, so even now that the Yarn Family has declined, no one dares to provoke them easily, out of respect for Hector Quach."
The character of Hector Quach was not someone Hannah was familiar with in the original plot.
But with Arnold Simmons’s explanation, she understood why Louis Snyder, after taking control of the Yarn Clan in the original plot, was attacked multiple times by unknown forces.
Unfortunately, by the time Hector Quach overseas got the news, it was too late, and Louis Snyder’s methods were indeed ruthless.
From the beginning with Hannah Winter to the later members of the Yarn Family, Louis Snyder always felt that others owed him, and all he did was to seek justice for himself.
Hannah snapped back to reality and saw the expression in the man’s eyes. She leaned in with a tender smile, pursing her lips for a light peck on his face, "Arnold Simmons, how do you know so much?"
She complimented him again, "You’re really amazing."
The man’s thin lips slightly curved, he pinched her delicate cheek and sought her red lips for a kiss.
The sweet, soft taste, like candy melting away in the clouds.
"Thinking of sweet-talking now, isn’t it a bit late?"
She hummed softly, her eyes shimmering, her brows and eyes full of coquettish pride, "Well, no matter how late, you’ve always liked it very much."
Arnold Simmons backed away slightly, his eyes looking down in a seemingly helpless compromise, and uttered, "Petulant and troublesome."
She touched the spot over his heart, pretending to be serious, yet couldn’t suppress the laughter in her eyes, "Yeah, but you still like it."
He was out of options.
She always managed to get a firm hold on him, making him willingly indulge her.
He lowered his head, his nose gently rubbing against her cheek, his deep voice carrying a trace of a sigh, "In this life, no one but me would spoil you like this."
Hannah leaned in close to his ear and whispered softly, "Yes, so I’ve decided to cling to you for life."
