Chapter 969: Chapter 969 They Talk Nonsense_1

Exploiting a girl’s feelings for his own benefit, even making her...

There was no flowery language, no exaggeration, just a calm statement that was enough to shatter Roy Yarn’s worldview.

His gaze upon Hannah was complex, as if he had pondered a long time before he seriously asked again, "Do you... still like him?"

"Louis Snyder?" Setting down her coffee cup, Hannah smiled at him, "Roy, why are you so cute?" 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

The person who had been keeping a straight face instantly lost his composure, the warmth he’d managed to suppress rising to his face again.

He averted his gaze from Hannah in a slight panic, gulping down a mouthful of ice water, "So, do you still like him?"

He felt guilty about Louis, probably inheriting his mother’s personality. People say he always likes to take things upon himself, feeling guilty even for mistakes that aren’t his own.

It was for this very reason that his grandparents doted on him especially, probably also wanting to make up for the debt they owed his mother.

But when he found out that Louis was the son of his own aunt, he couldn’t help but feel that all he had for so many years, some of it should actually belong to this younger brother of his.

Yet, after hearing the story Hannah told, he couldn’t deny that his feelings toward Louis underwent a subtle change...

He believed Hannah, that’s why he asked this question.

After a moment of silence, Hannah leaned in a bit closer to Roy Yarn, hands clasped under her chin, her lips curving into a gentle smile, her voice relaxed, "Roy, do you go online often?"

The most normal of actions always seemed to carry a seductive meaning when she did them.

Yet, those pure eyes made it seem almost sacrilegious to even think of corrupting her.

Perhaps it was after being with Arnold Simmons that Hannah had reined in herself a lot.

Still, it left Roy a bit out of his element, answering questions like a primary school student, methodically, "I usually practice the piano, rarely go online, very rarely..."

"No wonder then." Hannah smiled knowingly, "The internet is saying that I’m clinging to Louis Snyder, eyeing their spotless young brother, and that, backed by a wealthy patron, I intend to take what I want by force."

Roy’s brows knitted together, "They’re talking nonsense."

"Right, indeed they are," she stretched back to lean on the chair, "I’m very faithful. Mr. Simmons may get jealous, but luckily he’s handsome and rich. I like him a lot, and I’m not planning on two-timing."

Although the Yarn Family was not what it used to be, it still had substance as a noble family, and Roy had heard about these circle matters.

However, hearing Hannah mention it casually, he still suppressed his urge to ask more.

Sitting there still, obedient and docile, his face like that of a child pretending to be stern.

Hannah looked at him, paused, then continued, "But there’s one thing they got right, the relentless pursuit is real."

Roy’s expression changed, he was about to say something, but then he heard the next sentence.

"However, it’s not me pursuing Louis, it’s him pursuing me."

A slight smile played on her lips, outshining even the brightest blooms.

Roy didn’t understand; he was inherently slow when it came to matters of affection, and it took him a while to grasp what she meant, "Does he want to continue using you?"

Hannah looked up, shaking her head, "Maybe it’s affection."

Roy pursed his lips, "But such affection might not come entirely from the heart."
