Chapter 963: Chapter 963 Feeling Relaxed_1
The environment was serene and tranquil, just the right amount of quiet.
At this time, Roy Yarn was being cornered by a girl asking for his contact information.
Although he was just over twenty years old, his shy and awkward demeanor always gave off a sense of immaturity, like a high school student burdened with heavy academic responsibilities, never showing even a hint of displeasure on his face.
"I’m... I’m sorry, it’s really not convenient."
"Why not? You don’t look like you have a girlfriend, so why can’t I have your contact information?"
The girl wore refined makeup and her straightforward personality made it somewhat difficult for others to handle. Having come across a guy who so fit her taste, she was certainly not about to give up easily.
Even the other girls who had initially come up to ask for his contact information were briskly shooed away by her.
Roy Yarn stepped aside to avoid the girl’s reaching hand, his face flushed with two red patches, but whether he was embarrassed or annoyed was unclear.
Still undeterred, the girl glanced at the empty seat opposite her and devised a plan, "Since you’re here alone anyway, why don’t I keep you company?"
As she spoke, she began to walk over to take a seat.
Roy Yarn abruptly stood up, his mouth opened as if to speak, but the harsh words he couldn’t bring himself to say made his face turn even redder, managing only to utter, "Please sit somewhere else."
"Why can’t I? It’s empty here, and I want to sit..." the girl didn’t care and directly pulled out the chair.
But just as she was about to sit down, a slender and fair hand appeared in her field of vision, stopping her movement.
"Excuse me, this is my seat."
The girl felt displeased inside, lifted her head with the intention of driving the person off like she had done before, but upon locking eyes with those pupils, the words she planned to say got stuck in her throat.
Even with a mask covering most of the face, the eyes that peeked out were stunning enough to amaze anyone, clear and wandering but carrying a chill from outside.
Despite her ethereal beauty, she exuded a cool sense of pressure.
The girl, always self-confident about her own appearance, for the first time experienced a sense of shame, her voice growing noticeably weaker, "Are you his girlfriend?"
Hannah turned her head, a few silky strands of her long black hair falling around her ears, her gaze landing on Roy Yarn with his blushing face, sighing inwardly, "Would you mind giving the seat back to me, Miss?"
It dawned on the girl what was happening; she glanced at the silent Roy Yarn and then at Hannah facing her, "Oh, you guys aren’t a couple. Then surely I won’t be interrupting anything."
She smiled triumphantly.
Roy Yarn pursed his lips, his eyes falling on Hannah as he seemed to struggle internally, but eventually, he couldn’t hold back, "Miss, please leave."
This was one of the few times in his life he had spoken such stern words.
His family’s upbringing had always taught him to consider others’ feelings, their situation, to be polite.
Such a refusal turned into a very impolite act.
He had thought it would be very difficult to say, but when he finally did, he felt only relief.
By this time, onlookers were casting glances, and there was discontent among them; they probably thought the girl was being too impolite.
Feeling embarrassed under so many gazes, the girl glared at Roy Yarn, "I’ve never seen such an impolite guy like you!"
With that, she stamped her foot and turned to run away.
The wind chimes at the door clashed, producing a chaotic jingle.
The cafe owner, having heard what happened, brought over two cups of coffee to Hannah’s table as an apology.
