Chapter 937: Chapter 937 Getting Close to the Character_1

But acting, acting, the key reason it’s called that is because it involves interpreting the lives, personalities, and even the appearances of others.

The greater the leap, the more difficult it is.

However, such a leap in "The Kite" wasn’t particularly large.

Because the male lead’s character basically aligned entirely with Hayes Edwards’ actual personality, all he needed was a bit of guidance, and then what Hayes had to do was to simply reveal his true self in front of the camera.

Jack Stewart glanced at Louis Snyder, who laid on the hospital bed, his complexion pale as he read his lines, and then suddenly added, "Of course, another point is that the male second lead was well cast."

Such coincidences were rare, not only did the personalities of the male lead and the male second lead closely align with the script’s settings, but even their conflicts were rooted in reality.

Sometimes, Jack wondered if all of this had been calculated by Hannah from the start.

He turned his head and just caught sight of Hannah intently watching the monitor.

Without makeup, her face was clean and clear, the slightly long eyelashes at the corners of her eyes casting a small shadow downward, revealing her bright pupils when she looked up just right.

He diverted his gaze, looked down at the floral shirt he wore beneath his coat, silently chuckled, and then continued to immerse himself in his work.

As soon as Hayes and Louis’ scene finished, several assistants rushed over to drape coats over the two of them.

Although it was nearing the end of the year, the timeline in the script was still midsummer, so during filming, no matter how cold the weather was, the actors could only wear short sleeves.

At most, they could wear a jacket over them.

Louis had just gotten off the hospital bed, his pale makeup not yet removed, but much of the frailty in his eyes had faded, "Brother Edwards’ acting just now was very good, not at all like what people say online."

He smiled, the paleness of his makeup lending him a frail appearance.

Hayes snorted, his expression as arrogant as his character’s, "I don’t need you to tell me my acting is good."

His words nearly made the assistant beside him burst into laughter.

Even though Hayes’ acting was virtually non-existent, his performance in the previous scenes had indeed been quite good.

Even the director had praised him multiple times.

The others, who lacked Hannah’s insight, simply thought that Hayes had suddenly had an epiphany, or that he was motivated to compete with Louis.

After all, the previous play that had suddenly made Louis famous had him in a supporting role to Hayes, and because his acting had overshadowed the lead’s, some dragging comparisons and additional exposure naturally followed. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Many people even said that he had climbed to prominence by stepping on Hayes.

But there was nothing that could be done about that; Louis’ acting was indeed much better than Hayes’.

And indeed, Hayes was the sort to hold a grudge, which is why he wanted to use this collaboration to reclaim the ground he had lost before.

Louis saw his intention but didn’t take it to heart, simply responding with a smile to his earlier comments, "I was just a bit surprised, that’s all."

There was profound meaning in his words.

It took Hayes quite a while to understand, and he shook off the assistant’s hand and stepped forward, "Mr. Louis, are you insinuating that my past acting was very bad?"

Louis was momentarily startled, his lips pressed tightly, "Brother Edwards, why would you think that?"

The youth’s aura was soft and compliant, and combined with his patient’s attire, it was almost hard to tell if he was in character, or out.

But either way, he was equally likely to be received favorably.

There were already people trying to play peacemakers and calm Hayes down.
