Chapter 908: Chapter 908: It Does Resemble a Bit_1

Every day they rallied under the banner of protecting their younger brother’s genuine smile.

What bullshit smile, when you get down to it, isn’t it just chastity?

The company sets up a persona, fans love to fantasize, and in the end, it’s the actresses who collaborate with Louis Snyder who suffer.

Emily Lynch agreed with her brother’s viewpoint and, seeing Roy Yarn drift off again, couldn’t help but ask, "Roy, do you know Louis Snyder?"

Roy Yarn was startled for a moment before lethargically nodding, "I’ve met him before."

Emily Lynch nodded but didn’t ask any further questions.

Edison Lynch, hearing the conversation, came over to join in the chat, discussing with Emily Lynch when it might be good to visit the film set. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

Roy Yarn remained quiet, his phone’s photo changing to another.

It was a family portrait, the background being the Yarn family’s old residence. Seated at the very front were an elderly couple, and standing behind them was a pair of sisters, the younger one leaning on the older one’s shoulder, their posture intimate and their smiles sweet.

But in the next photo, the distance between the two sisters was visibly wider, the older sister’s lips pursed with a worried look, while the younger sister had a cold expression on her face.

The last photo showed the spot where the younger sister used to stand now empty, and beside the older sister stood a tall man.

Year after year, the younger sister’s spot remained vacant, the older sister’s marriage seemingly happy and fulfilled, now cradling a young child in her arms.

The Yarn family had always kept to the tradition of taking a family portrait every year, never missing a single one.

Roy Yarn switched back to the first family portrait and stared at it for a long time, murmuring to himself, "It does look a bit like her..."

Louis Snyder had indeed disappeared for several days, and although his agent, Brother Davis, had received calls to ensure his safety, every time the call ended too quickly for any questions to be asked.

Brother Davis was anxious; despite having arranged for a psychologist, Louis Snyder hadn’t turned up for the appointment, and he worried whether things were truly getting to him.

Searching everywhere, afraid to alarm the fans and escalate the situation, all that could be said to the public was that he was taking a break.

Eventually, inquiries about his whereabouts reached Hannah, and while they didn’t dare to disturb her directly, others claimed not to have seen him.

Hannah had been staying at the set all along.

Although the production had been restarted, many detailed aspects had to be prepared anew.

Jack Stewart, though it was his first time being a director, dealt with matters efficiently and orderly.

Hannah had wanted to help, but after a few days, she found herself holed up in her hotel room reading scripts, with nothing else to worry about.

Every time she prepared to do something, Jack Stewart would send her back.

He had become a director, but as before, he delivered meals to Hannah’s door three times a day with clockwork regularity.

Director, agent, assistant—Jack Stewart switched between these roles with great ease.

After having dinner and Jack Stewart had just left, Hannah’s phone on the coffee table rang.

It was an unfamiliar number.

Hannah thought about it and then answered the call.

The voice on the other end was unfamiliar, bearing a tone of difficulty and caution, "Is this Miss Winter? We are calling from property management."

Hannah had yet to react, "What property management?"

The person on the other end reported the name of a residential area.

The caller was a security guard.

"We don’t know who that person is, they just said they know you. They seem to have been drunk and have been here for a few days. We’re calling to ask if you know them because if you don’t, we’re going to call the police."

Considering the rumors she’d heard recently, Hannah had a good guess of who it might be, "Thank you, I will come over and take a look in a bit."

The call ended.

Hannah had already changed clothes and left the house.
