Chapter 857: Chapter 857 Seeking Help_1

The appearance of biting her lips looked like she could not bear the humiliation, a stark contrast to her just moments before.

Louis Snyder’s interest in seeking revenge on the woman dissipated, looking at her as if she was a lifeless object, "I find my current role quite satisfying, so there’s no need for the senior to trouble herself."

Hu Yan remained oblivious to Louis’s change, considering it just a young man’s pride, which only made her more determined to have him.

"Little Louis, you really should think it through," the woman’s tone now carried a hint of threat, "Why call me a senior? ’Sister’ sounds much nicer, and chatting won’t bite a piece off you."

The woman’s gaze felt as rancid as a foul sewer, making one feel sick with just a glance.

Hu Yan was dead set on getting her hands on Louis, persistently clinging, not willing to let him go.

From a distance, observing the scene, even when she noticed the plea in the boy’s eyes as he looked at her, Hannah had no intention of stepping in to help.

She just crossed her arms, her eyes filled with amusement as if watching an interesting play.

The scene was all too familiar; the original host had experienced it, and so had she.

The boy who played innocent always knew how to manipulate others for his greatest benefit, but when it came time to pay a price, he would push the original host forward.

In the story, it wasn’t that Louis hadn’t sacrificed the original host to others’ beds before; if it weren’t for the original host taking a drastic leap from a building in the end, she would probably have fallen prey to that greasy-bellied assistant director long ago.

But when the original host returned to her place, limping on one leg, Louis could still welcome her with a harmless smile on his face, seamlessly dispelling any suspicions she had towards him.

The boy was too cruel; if it wasn’t for Hannah changing her strategy in maneuvering the plot, she would have undoubtedly had to walk that same path.

She did not pity Louis.

The young man was never harmless.

Perhaps sensing that Hannah had no intention to intervene, Louis lost patience with playing the pitiful card.

Although Hu Yan was arrogant, she was no match for Louis, and not long after, the crew started gathering around.

Perhaps because Hu Yan was usually so domineering on set, although they didn’t dare to speak directly due to her status, whispers were exchanged in secret.

"Really bold of her, she doesn’t really think the set is her own home, does she?"

"Just the other day, I saw her pestering a junior actor in the crew, a young guy who looked like he just graduated, completely immune to her antics; the next day, he was tossed out of the crew by Hu Yan."

"That’s too much, Louis has barely come of age, and yet she’s ready to make a move; seems like her husband is really useless now, she’s just waiting to inherit a fortune."

"Tsk, you don’t know, her husband keeps several mistresses on the side, it’s still uncertain who will end up with his fortune..."

The volume of the crowd’s discussion grew louder, and Hu Yan’s complexion turned ugly, her thick makeup giving her a ghastly appearance, "Louis, I took an interest in you as a favor, don’t be ungrateful. Believe it or not, I can have you kicked out of the crew by tomorrow!"

Louis’s smile grew colder, yet his tone feigned confusion, "I don’t understand what the senior is talking about. I have to go study the script and won’t disturb you further."

Watching as Hannah’s figure vanished into the distance, Louis quickened his steps.

Hu Yan continued to chase after him, cursing loudly until she was finally stopped by Brother Davis, who had hurried over and spoke some soothing words.
