Chapter 845: Chapter 845 No Feelings_1
Recently, George River had found himself struggling to catch his breath after being provoked by Jimmy Simmons.
It wasn’t that he couldn’t hold his own against Jimmy; rather, the problem was that Jimmy was his good brother, and in the end, it was he who had been in the wrong first.
He had always planned to take this opportunity to challenge Arnold Simmons and win Hannah back, but now he couldn’t even find the time to do so.
He finally had a moment to himself, yet felt empty inside, longing only to hear that soft, feminine voice—too bad she always treated him with impatience and perfunctory responses.
"Hannah, when we broke up, it was not because I had no feelings for you," he said.
The chilly wind whistled, making the man’s voice sound even more restrained.
Hannah twisted open the lipstick in her hand to touch up her makeup, looking at the now even more perfect and vibrant color, her mood considerably brightened, "What’s the use of saying all this now? I haven’t broken up with Arnold Simmons. According to seniority, I’m still your little aunt. But I heard you and Jimmy Simmons had a falling out, that’s not good. However, if you still acknowledge me as your little aunt, I can set you up with someone, so you don’t have to..."
"Hannah Winter!" George River’s face darkened, and his sudden outburst startled the secretaries outside, making them all peek inside nervously.
As the sound of her breathing came through from the other end of the phone, he regretted his words.
He wanted to win her back, but every word that came out of Hannah’s mouth infuriated him.
Hannah quieted down too, and after a moment of silence, she spoke again, "Forget it, you seem to have a tendency for domestic violence, don’t ruin other girls."
After she finished, she hung up the phone.
Delete and block; her movements were practiced and swift.
George River was left holding the disconnected phone, his face as cold as a block of ice tainted with ink.
All day long, the employees of the River Clan tread on eggshells, afraid of being scolded.

When she was alone, Hannah could sit in front of the mirror for an entire day.
Sometimes she was admiring her own peerless beauty, and sometimes she was daydreaming.
What she was daydreaming about, Blue Star didn’t know; once when it asked, Hannah just lovingly stroked its head and said, "The more you know, the balder you get."
Blue Star ran off crying and never again inquired insensitively about such matters.
But it still had a sneaking suspicion that when Hannah was lost in thought, she was probably thinking about royal affairs.
Galactic politics were in turmoil; the wanderers had left, and now the marauders had arrived.
Neither of these two forces could be said to be stronger or weaker than the other; they didn’t cooperate with each other, merely acknowledging one another’s presence.
The only thing was that the marauders were notorious for having no bottom line in their conduct.
If they really set their sights on someone, during a robbery they wouldn’t take gold or silver, only the clothes off someone’s back, not even leaving behind underwear.
Luckily, the marauders were only a temporary nuisance; once they were gone, they were gone. The royal family’s situation wasn’t any better, though.
It was said that someone sneaked into the First Princess’s bedroom at night; they didn’t steal her jewels, but shaved off both of her eyebrows.
A note was left behind.
—If you don’t release the person, next time it will be the hair.
The First Princess flew into a rage, reportedly smashing a great deal of porcelain and jade pieces, all of which were treasures passed down from Ancient Blue Star and were invaluable.
Blue Star related all this to Hannah as if they were amusing anecdotes, watching Hannah’s expression from the corner of its eye while animatedly telling the tale.
Unfortunately, it couldn’t discern anything.
As it was about to leave, Teresa Gordon suddenly came in with someone.
Behind her followed a very striking young girl with an oval face and big eyes, slightly resembling someone of mixed heritage.
