Chapter 826: Chapter 826: Take a sip for yourself_1

"Wasn’t there poison?" Hannah’s expression didn’t change, but her gaze was fixed on the lonely cup of milk tea in the trash can. "Since you say it’s not poisoned, why don’t you pick it up and take a sip yourself?"

Louis Snyder looked up, knowing Hannah wasn’t joking.

A sour taste rose in his heart.

So this was how low Hannah’s trust in him had fallen?

"Alright, sister, I’ll do anything you want me to do."

The young man seemed to have made up his mind.

He, who was the cleanest of all, now bent down to pick up the discarded milk tea from the trash can.

The faint warmth in his hand tightened his grip involuntarily, but he showed Hannah a perfect smile, "Do you really want me to drink it, sister?"

Hannah didn’t answer, only taking the cup of milk tea from the young man’s hands and, to his surprise, inserting a straw and handing it back to him.

Surprise turned into injury in his eyes, but Louis Snyder still pressed down the discomfort in his heart and said coquettishly, "Sister has such a cruel heart."

Hannah didn’t look at him, just staring out at the vast blue sky through the window, "I didn’t poison it."

Suddenly, Louis Snyder moved a few steps closer, "If I drink it, will you like me a little more, sister?"

Hannah glanced at him sideways, and as the deception unraveled, the youth gradually shed his disguise, his emotions completely unhidden in his eyes.

This was the second time she had seen him like this, but she still found it amusing. She leaned in closer, unyielding, her smile at the corner of her mouth as enchanting as the deep blue earrings by her face, "Sister never liked you to begin with, so where’s the question of liking you more?"

The young man looked regretful, yet his eyes were bright with deep longing, "What a pity, sister has discovered my little trick."

Hannah was about to say more when, at that moment, the tightly closed partition door was pushed open from the outside.

Seeing James Landon bursting in, Louis Snyder finally put away the obstinate facade he had shown a moment before, but he didn’t revert to a gentle and innocent pretense either.

"Mr. Landon."

His tone betrayed no emotion, merely a hint of a mocking curve at the corner of his mouth.

He was displeased at being interrupted during his alone time with Hannah.

But James Landon seemed oblivious to the young man’s hostility, addressing Hannah instead, "The recording is about to start, we couldn’t find you anywhere."

By the time the program had been recorded and finished, it was already evening.

The stages for Hannah and Lily Davis, added together, barely totaled fifteen minutes, but for Lily Davis, those fifteen minutes felt like an eternity.

The judges on stage were famously stone-faced and hard-hearted, capable of pinpointing a slew of faults even in a singer with outstanding talents like Lily Davis.

The contestants all went onstage together, and although everyone knew who was performing that day, they all wore masks when it came time to sing.

Thus, the audience wouldn’t know which mask concealed Hannah, who had just been ridiculed and targeted by the judges.

Perhaps due to an inherent prejudice against idols, the expectations for Hannah were not high, and there were even two judges who began to mock her openly before the show started.

Comments like "Idols mainly focus on dancing, so the singing must be lacking," really meant "not just lacking, but probably dreadful to listen to."

Or "Do idols come to a professional singer’s stage because the threshold for singers is too low now?", indicating an overall disdain.

At first, Lily Davis felt happy hearing these words.
