Chapter 818: Chapter 818 Teasing_1

That’s also one of the reasons why so many people wanted Hannah to go solo.

Despite "Shining Star Journey 2" being a hit, not everyone was following the show to that extent, but more people knew of Hannah because of "Fairy."

Even if her acting was passable, it still couldn’t compare to her singing.

Jack Stewart expressed his worries to Hannah, but she didn’t feel any pressure and agreed without hesitation.

Jack could only go along with Hannah’s wishes and make the arrangements.

He hung up the phone.

Hannah was coming downstairs when she passed by Arnold Simmons’ study.

The door was ajar, voices of a low conversation emanated from inside, it was probably about work, as Arnold had reverted to his usual cold and indifferent demeanor he displayed in front of others.

His cool, clear voice, without a hint of fluctuation, was occasionally interrupted by a chuckle that did not soften the atmosphere, but rather sent a chill down one’s spine because of his exceptionally deep eyes.

Even without a vast kingdom or a high throne, the man’s naturally cold and bloodthirsty nature was vividly on display.

Such is fate, perhaps some are born to look down upon the world, destined to toil on the battlefield.

Autumn had arrived, and even though the villa was heated, one could still feel the penetrating chill of the autumn air.

Hannah looked up and met the eyes of her master, amber-clear yet with the luster of jet, as if she saw a bloody storm in them. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

She shivered, wondering how she could entertain such a thought. Was it because she had read too many of her master’s novels that she started to become a bit fantastical herself?

Thomas Sanders was considered Arnold’s capable assistant, and had always been managing affairs abroad. This was his first visit to Arnold’s villa to report on progress, and he was startled to see a young girl standing at the entrance.

Despite the sudden rain outside and the drop in temperature, she was still wearing a beautiful dress that reached her ankles, of the simplest design, with a bright red belt tied around her waist.

The blood-like color made her porcelain-white face seem even more stunning.

Thomas came back to his senses, his first thought being how much of the earlier conversation Hannah had heard, but in President Simmons’ villa, their relationship must be quite intimate.

Realizing something, his smile suddenly took on an ambiguous tone.

Hannah, however, tilted her head slightly and smiled at him. Her gaze, though, was fixed beyond him as she called out, "Arnold, I’m hungry."

The girl’s voice was soft and coquettish, enough to make anyone’s heart melt.

Even Thomas, who had dated his fair share of beautiful girlfriends, felt a flutter in his heart, but it was simply the instinctive reaction one feels toward beautiful things.

But he quickly saw their usually aloof President gently take the young girl’s hand.

The peripheral glance he threw Thomas was emotionless and ruthless; if there was any message in it, it probably questioned why he was still standing there.

Thomas felt like flipping a table.

He didn’t agree to be fed dog food here!

Anger clouded his judgment, prompting him to tease his boss, "So, President Simmons has also learned to hide a beauty in the golden house."

He laughed roguishly.

Before he received a reply from Arnold, a delicate female voice intervened.

"This brother, I’m Arnold’s girlfriend, oh, and right now, it’s me hiding him in the golden house."

Hannah looked up at Arnold beside her, stretched out a finger to lightly scratch the palm of his hand, her eyes brimming with mischief.
