Chapter 803: Chapter 803: Do You Believe It Yourself_1
Hannah glanced at her, nodded, and said, "Yeah, I’m just lawless. If you can’t stand it, feel free to bring people in."
Heather Harrison was furious, "You think everyone is as shameless as you!"
Hannah was valuable, so the company turned a blind eye to many of her transgressions.
Such as bringing an assistant to meetings or even blatantly napping during them, Hannah had done it countless times without anyone daring to object.
Heather and others had long been irked by this, but aside from complaining, there was not much they could do.
Soon, Teresa Gordon and the others also arrived.
Lucy Taylor, of course, didn’t think twice before taking a seat next to Hannah, with the busy bee of the group, Christopher Lee, claiming the seat on her right.
Christopher Lee was young, candid, and spoke without much thought, but when he smiled, he was a pretty endearing girl. He greeted Hannah proactively as soon as he walked in the door.
This was something that hadn’t happened before.
As soon as Teresa Gordon entered the room, she noticed the assistant standing behind Hannah, but she merely glanced at her without saying anything.
After all, they still needed Hannah’s agreement for today’s matter.
The only topic of the meeting was about the two songs James Landon had written for Hannah, hoping she would give up one of them to the group.
Hannah’s attitude was clear, "No."
Teresa Gordon didn’t dare to push too hard, so she resorted to persuasion, "Hannah, I’m doing this for the good of the group. Releasing two singles by yourself might be too much for you to handle."
Hannah shook her head, "No, I can handle it."
Teresa’s expression remained unchanged, knowing it was difficult to change Hannah’s mind. She didn’t want to cause a rift, so she shifted the blame, "This is what the fans want to see."
Hannah asked her, "The fans’ wishes, whose fans?"
Of course, it couldn’t be Hannah’s fans.
No one dared to answer that.
In the end, Tiffany Lynch spoke up, "The fans want what’s best for us."
"Should we believe everything fans say?" Hannah said, pausing for a second and offering a slight smile, "Your fans also say you’re the unparalleled beauty of the universe. Do you believe that?"
Whether it’s the official face or the fan-elected face of Smile 9, there’s always only one Hannah.
Although Tiffany Lynch wasn’t bad-looking, she only had a delicate beauty. After deliberately imitating Hannah’s makeup style, she ended up looking somewhat odd.
Fans often exaggerated their praise, which should be taken with a grain of salt, or else one’s entire worldview could be overturned.
Tiffany Lynch was left speechless by Hannah’s retort, struggling to maintain her composure, "Of course, I... don’t believe it."
She said this to her own chagrin.
It hurt.
Like being slapped hard across the face, and yet unable to slap back.
With one person "down," another quickly took up the cause.
The most agitated were naturally Heather Harrison and Ginny, who followed Tiffany Lynch closely.
After all, those were songs written by James Landon, worth their weight in gold.
Moreover, there wasn’t a single person who had sung a song written by James Landon and not become famous, some even winning awards.
How could they not be envious?
Especially since Hannah got two songs at once, as part of a group, they naturally wanted a piece of the action.
Some criticized Hannah for not considering the team’s interest, while others used the team to play the emotional card.
Hannah responded from time to time, but mostly, she was chatting with Lucy. Occasionally, she would rest her head on her hand, and look on with interest at the heated debate unfolding.
She even had a bowl of sunflower seeds brought by her assistant next to her.
Pretty interesting.
