Chapter 796: Chapter 796: It Won’t Run

Tears glistening in the corners of her eyes, her gaze was as clear as if washed by water. Even though she claimed to be sleepy, she was wide-eyed, staring intently at the man before her.

She watched as if gazing upon a beloved piece of jewelry, her small, restless hands revealing her obvious infatuation.

Even though Arnold Simmons’ face was good enough to compete in show business.

Unfortunately, he preferred to avoid the limelight and disliked chatter, otherwise, there would be no need for George River.

After that talent show finals night, although George River and the ticket fraud scandal were mentioned, having a good-looking face seemed to whitewash everything.

Even now, people were still professing their love for him under his daily blog.

Seeing his girl’s gaze becoming weirder, Simmons finally asked, "Aren’t you going to close your eyes?"

Hannah shook her head, coyly and flattering, she spoke, "But if I close my eyes, I can’t see you."

Simmons was silent for a while, his heart enjoying her words. He appeared indifferent on the surface, as if tolerating a girlfriend’s playful behavior, "Sleep now, I won’t go anywhere."

He gently patted her back.

He thought he could hear a response, but she just snuggled against him and closed her eyes. A content smile on her face.

Is she really asleep now?

Simmons suddenly didn’t know what to do with his hands. The budding passion seemed to be extinguished abruptly.

In the end, all he could do was sigh softly, "You heartless girl."

Hannah slept very peacefully, like being soaked in a hot spring, surrounded by a warm atmosphere. She was tightly clutching the man’s waist, as if hugging a giant doll, she never let go.

Simmons had to hold her in his arms whilst reading through the documents just sent over by his secretary.

There were many issues that needed urgent handling.

When Hannah woke up, she had already been moved from the car to the bed, with Simmons’ arms around her, the only constant.

The curtains had been drawn in the room and only the bedside lamp cast a warm yellow halo. Half of its glow rested on the man’s face showing a different emotion than usual–serious and contemplative.

After a while, the girl in his arms couldn’t resist and called out, "Arnold."

The man moved his gaze from the papers, his voice deep, "Hm?"

His slightly rough voice was like being held tightly in someone’s arms in the middle of winter, a feeling that made her heart race uncontrollably.

As his voice faded, Simmons felt a sensation around his neck, and a small soft hand was pushing him downwards from behind his head. As he tilted his body, a sweet soft sensation pressed onto his lips.

It lasted only for a moment, almost like a stone falling into a calm lake, rippling layers of emotions, turning the bottom of the lake into endless tender night.

Papers were strewn all over the bed, providing an unusual decoration. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Perhaps the position was uncomfortable, Hannah was soon out of strength.

But before she could pull away, a large hand was already on her waist, the scorching heat supporting her body.

Perhaps she wanted to let out a scream, but it was mercilessly stifled.

The passive turned active, like a wild beast unleashed. The dominating possessiveness in his eyes turned into a net, entangling the girl’s ankles and dragging her step by step into an abyss.
