Chapter 783: Chapter 783: Want to Hear a Story?

"But the current commander is nearly dead, you should be able to make it back in time for the inauguration of the next one."

Golden Lotus smacked her lips, "Master, you’re joking right?"

Hannah did not respond, instead gazing out the window at the heavy rain.

The wooden door had been blown open, weakly swaying in the wind, completely useless.

In the corner, a dog hole that had been blocked off was somehow cleared.

Golden Lotus, curious, asked again: "Master, how did the former commander die?"

Hannah’s expression remained unchanged as she answered indifferently, "Someone killed him."

"Who?"

"The first princess."

The four words echoed from Hannah’s mouth, as if with a different meaning. They were long and soft, full of malice.

Golden Lotus didn’t notice, shivering subconsciously, then exclaimed, "She’s really powerful, then, capable of killing a commander."

After saying that, it turned its head to meet the deep gaze of its master, quickly coughing twice, "Actually, she’s not that powerful, she must have taken advantage of a situation!"

No matter what the truth was, their master despised the first princess. That couldn’t be wrong.

"You guessed quite accurately." Hannah shifted her gaze. Her eyes were as clear as ever. "Want to hear a story?"

Golden Lotus hurriedly nodded.

Within the galaxy, power is determined by spiritual strength. Originally, the highest level of spiritual power was called S, but soon, spiritual powers higher than S were discovered.

To better differentiate these powers, spiritual strength was reclassified into ten grades with one being the lowest and ten being the highest. This is now the most widely accepted grade classification.

However, the royal family still maintains the S grade for spiritual power.

The third commander had the strongest spiritual power ever recorded, an unprecedented eighth level, even under the ten-level system.

Hearing this, Golden Lotus couldn’t help interrupting, "Master, why do you praise the previous commander like how you usually praise yourself? You’re really quite narcissistic."

It giggled.

Hannah looked at it, smiling but not saying anything. Her gaze was caring.

Golden Lotus grinned, laughing heartily without any second thoughts, "But I still think the current commander is more impressive. I’ve seen him on the battlefield, controlling his mech to defeat enemies. So cool!"

As it spoke, Golden Lotus stood up and imitated a few punching and kicking moves, the perfect image of a die-hard fan, "Master, do you know who the current commander is? If you don’t, I can tell you. His name is..."

"Wayne Lane." Two fluttering words, but extremely resonating. Lightning outside the window cut across the sky, illuminating a face. Hannah smiled slightly, "You’ve arrived."

Raindrops heavily hit her shoulders, but beneath the downpour, his figure was outlined exceptionally tall and clear. His eyes were bright, like the night sky under clear weather.

Pure and immaculate.

Golden Lotus also froze, its motion stuck in the middle, and it fell straight from the window, "Vi...Vin...Vincent?!"

Despite the wind and rain, Vincent had still come.

In that moment of eye contact, it seemed as though the rain had stopped, the wind had scattered the clouds, and the heavens were filled with stars.

She opened her lips and softly called, "Vincent."

He extended his hand, pressing his entire face against the window, displaying an effortful smile even with his face all squished. He affectionately called out, "Hannah, Hannah...here..."

As if presenting a treasure, Vincent extended the bouquet of flowers that he had carefully protected along the way.
