Chapter 658: Chapter 658: Failed to Strike Up a Conversation
The recording process was going fairly smoothly, but every time Owen Hanson tried to initiate conversation with Hannah, it was interrupted by James Landon.
It did not seem intentional, but after several failed attempts, Owen Hanson was beginning to lose patience.
By the time they left, he actively stopped Hannah to ask for her contact information.
Initially, he planned to take things slow. However, each time he saw Hannah’s excessively beautiful face, his heart itched uncontrollably, she was much more attractive than the internet celebrities he had met before.
Hannah looked at the man in front of her, her face revealing a faint smile. Her alluring charm showed naturally through her eyes and brows, not deliberately contrived. "I have met Mr. Hanson before," she said softly.
Her voice was soft and was not deliberately low. It was naturally so, bringing a gentle breeze that blew straight to one’s heart.
Owen Hanson felt his heart skip a beat and flashed what he considered a dashing, handsome grin. "Calling me Mr. Hanson is too formal. Like everyone else, Hannah, you can call me Owen," he said.
Hannah nodded without replying.
Owen then asked, "Hannah, where have you seen me before?"
He thought—Hannah would also be considered his junior, as they came from the same show. Perhaps she saw his performance on the night they wrapped up?
Thinking this way, Owen seemed even more confident.
After all, he has been praised as the dance lead in his group, continuously lauded and pursued by fans. Anyone who had seen his stage performances was bound to be taken.
With one hand on her waist, Hannah smiled, "I recall seeing your trending popularity online before the show, although I cannot remember exactly what it involved."
She frowned as if truly perplexed, her gaze on the man in front of her as if inquiring for an answer.
Meanwhile, Owen felt a stiffness in his face. He, of course, remembered his own trending news.
Love affairs, infidelity, scandals. It was all nothing to be proud of.
Originally planning to ask for her contact information, Owen now could not wait a moment longer and hurriedly made his departure, fearing Hannah would remember something and connect the dots.
*
The next day, Jack Stewart sent Hannah off to the program’s touring bus.
Although George Quach was a new recruit, he had his own set of principles for doing things. During the recording period, he absolutely forbade any artists’ agents or assistants from following them. They had to fend for themselves.
James Landon didn’t mind. He mostly liked being alone and only displayed a bit more emotion when around Hannah.
As he was frequently busy writing and often skipped meals, he always had some small snacks like chocolates on him, much to Adam Landon’s delight. Adam loved simply being around James, not caring about conversation. If he managed to get some chocolate or candy, his day was made.
Owen Hanson, on the other hand, was a bit different. He initially thought that assistants would be following them, so he brought two large suitcases worth of luggage. Now he had to carry it himself, leaving him panting from the exertion.
The thick coating of makeup on his face started to wear off.
While Jack was explaining things to Hannah and stuffing various skincare products into her suitcase, he commented, "The place you’re going to, I looked it up, the sun in the mountains is intense, remember to apply sunscreen every two hours. Also, if you can’t cook, then don’t try, to prevent burning down someone’s house. Did you remember all that?"
Hannah stood to the side, holding an umbrella and wearing sunglasses. She looked up at the blinding sun, shaded her eyes with her hand and changed the subject, "Has it been this hot for the past few days?"
Jack closed the suitcase, "It will probably be cooler in the mountains."
