Chapter 623: Chapter 623: Always Hypocritical

Not to mention the alleged supernatural omen at the time — a flower in the far north, wilted for a thousand years, bloomed overnight.

The Imperial Royal Family was well-known for its flamboyance and certainly did not miss such an excellent opportunity for propaganda.

Having such a powerful person only represented an additional line of defense for the Imperial Royal Family. Even if other forces developed exceptionally well, no such precedent had occurred before.

From then on, the First Princess was granted the title of the Empire’s Guardian by the Imperial Royal Family.

She would be the hope of the interstellar future.

Similar propaganda disk-like these washed over the minds of most interstellar residents for hundreds of years.

If it were not for the occurrence of that specific event after, perhaps everyone would continue to believe without doubts.

Golden Lotus hadn’t existed for long and thus was not familiar with these interstellar matters, and had always idolized the First Princess.

As Golden Lotus heard people speak ill of her idol, she naturally disliked it. With more people speaking, she began to harbor doubts as well.

Gently, behind Hannah’s back, she sent a message out.

Golden Lotus: Isn’t the First Princess very strong and smart?

Once she said this, she received an immediate reply.

Honey Coats Knife: Golden Lotus is still young, huh. In fact, how formidable the First Princess is all originated from the royal family. From her birth till now, she has never set foot on a battlefield.

Golden Lotus: But didn’t the royal family say that the First Princess had settled the war with the wanderers and raiders that broke out two hundred years ago? 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Potato Big Tomato: Hahaha, Golden Lotus, you are too cute. Remember, nine out of ten things the royal family says are false.

Sun 6 6: And what about the last statement?

Honey Coats Knife: The last statement is half true, half false!

This sounded remarkably familiar.

Golden Lotus realized, this was exactly what her master had told her.

But why?

Golden Lotus began to question her life, "Why would it be like this? It’s clearly not the same as what the interstellar reports say."

Hannah was busy admiring her beauty, but didn’t mind solving the puzzled little dog’s life confusion, "Actually, not everything reported is false. The First Princess did contribute a bit."

Golden Lotus’s eyes lit up, "Really?"

"Of course." Hannah smiled slightly, "At least her crying abilities could irritate quite a few wanderers."

Golden Lotus was stunned.

She probably understood now. The First Princess she worshipped did not seem as good as the Imperial Royal Family had claimed.

Fled the battlefield, acted weak, and cried easily.

The former was what the barrage said, and the latter was what Hannah said.

In any case, none of those are good wordings.

Golden Lotus sighed and looked at Hannah who was beside her.

She laughed and absent-mindedly propped her head up, "The people of the Imperial royal family have always been hypocritical; they’ve gotten used to the good life and feel that all others should be beneath them, always inferior to them. Wanderers, invaders, brigands and robbers, aren’t these all the consequences of their own actions?"

Golden Lotus blinked, probably not fully understanding.

Hannah sighed lightly, her gaze falling on the endless moonlight outside the window, "What is so-called ’good’ and ’evil’ are written by the victors. The Imperial Royal Family won a lucky match two hundred years ago, but it wasn’t really won by their own strength. They are merely deceiving themselves."

Golden Lotus was lying on the table looking up at Hannah in front of her, "Master, do you know a lot?"

Hannah glanced at her but didn’t answer, only stroking her little dog head.
