Chapter 613: Chapter 613: Touching Myself

Online reviews of Jackie Qualls often comment on his expressive and emotive countenance, with facial features that are not overly sharp but rather soft and endearing. His visage mirrors the tenderness and refreshment of spring rain, inviting both comfort and sympathy from onlookers.

It’s why, even when he portrays somewhat scoundrel characters, he often garners sympathy from audiences.

And right now is no different. A hint of romance is amplified, even the faintest smile from him could make hearts bloom.

"I’ve thought a lot, some things have changed, but my feelings for you will remain unchanged. I can’t interfere with your decisions, but as long as I’m alive, I won’t let anyone hurt you, not even Arnold Simmons."

His words are sincere, his eyes even more affectionate than before.

Louis Snyder and Jackie Qualls.

One loves to daydream, the other loves to move himself. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

Regardless, both have achieved their purpose.

Pondering this, Hannah showed a bit patience towards Jackie Qualls for the first time and couldn’t help but laugh lightly, "Mr. Qualls, if anyone else had said that, they’d be labeled a ’homewrecker’."

Jackie Qualls paused, his warm voice responding, "I just want to protect you."

"Is Mr. Qualls still in character?" She raised an eyebrow, her face brimming with amusement.

Jackie Qualls shook his head, his deep eyes holding her gaze, "I can make the distinction very clear."

Hannah’s expression didn’t change. Perhaps it was due to getting up early and feeling a bit sleepy, she leaned against the door frame. Even her voice sounded lazy as she pointed out, "Mr. Qualls, it seems like you are indulging in self-satisfaction."

Jackie Qualls was silent.

Perhaps in his heart, he didn’t think of it that way.

Some men carry an extraordinary level of confidence in certain areas, whether they believe their denials of love to be untrue, or they are convinced that their selfless devotion is bound to be reciprocated.

Even a man as exceptional as Jackie Qualls is not immune to this.

This might be because pride and humility are essentially the same thing.

Hannah quickly lost interest, "I need to rest."

She finished speaking and immediately entered her room.

The door closed, blocking out the somewhat glaring sunlight in the room, and silence was once again restored in the hallway.

He clenched his fist, the images of their intimate kiss kept surfacing in his mind.

It was such a beautiful moment, it felt like there was no room for anyone else.

Despite his innocent probe, he could see that Hannah was completely leaning towards the other man.

This sense of powerless defeat was even more overwhelming than his struggle on the brink of death in his previous life.

Having been manipulated by Tiffany Lynch to go against that man and ending up in such a state, the most blame he placed was on his own stupidity.

But why, even after a second chance, was he still trapped within that man’s shadow?

In the corner, a dazzling light briefly appeared. Jackie Qualls looked sideways and quickly realized what it was.

He frowned, headed towards where the light had come from, and found a paparazzi tightly clutching their camera, looking panicked.

In public perception, Jackie Qualls was seen as a genial person. But looking at him now, the rookie paparazzi realized that this genial movie star was probably not as easy to get along with as the rumors suggested.

He might even be a little frightening.

The paparazzo conceded that perhaps this big news couldn’t be concealed, but handing it over voluntarily was not an option either.
