Chapter 572: Chapter 572: How Can I Bear to Part?

Ray Lee was also slow in hindsight, his face red with embarrassment, his gaze resentfully shifted towards Hannah, who was laughing intently at the side.

Everyone remained trapped in the hall, the peculiar footsteps from outside were starting to get louder.

The letter didn’t actually say much, except for recording an event.

— Dear friends, I’ve heard the news about the fire in your hospital. I hope you are all well. If so, please reply to me to put my mind at ease.

The date on the letter was five years ago today.

Someone suggested, "Perhaps the code is the date on the letter."

Everyone thought it made sense, so they each tried it one by one.

It was in vain. After several attempts, it still didn’t work.

Hannah glanced around, then suddenly stopped in front of a mirror.

The mirror was full of dust, faintly revealing a few characters in red.

Hannah lowered her head searching for something on the ground, and the next second, a tissue was handed over to her.

She looked up and saw Louis Snyder standing there, having come over without her noticing.

He smiled faintly, "Sister, you don’t seem scared at all."

Under the red lighting, the boy’s eyes seemed pitch black, adding a touch of eeriness.

Hannah took the tissue from his hand and laughed, "Are you trying to ’kill’ me?"

Louis was taken aback, "How could I? I could never bear to hurt you."

Hannah silently stared at him for a while, then turned her body, swiping at the mirror to clear the layer of dust.

Several bloodied red characters showed up.

— I’m so hungry! Really, really hungry!

It was weird but pointless.

There were some peculiar symbols drawn in the bottom right corner.

Louis stared at it for a while. Unable to understand it, he turned to Hannah, "Sister, have you figured anything out?"

Hannah stepped forward and studied the mirror intently as if she was deeply studying something.

She wiped the mirror again, looked at it for a while, and exhaled, "Thankfully, my makeup was not messed up by Hayes."

Louis was silent.

— Indeed, it’s just like my sister to be concerned about her face even at a time like this.

— Beautiful, my younger sister is always beautiful!

— Hannah Winter doesn’t know the rules, if she can’t play then she shouldn’t make a mess!

The stranger outside the door was back again.

This time, under the red light, everyone got a clear glimpse of the stranger’s face.

He was nearly two meters tall, draped in what appeared to be a charred quilt, his long hair covering his face, and in his hand he brandished a large axe taller than a person, incessantly pounding the iron door. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

"Could you hurry up? They’re about to come in," someone grumbled.

"Stop whining! Rush to find clues! This weirdo doesn’t seem to be leaving anytime soon!"

"Stop rushing us! If you’re so smart, why don’t you do it?"

The more everyone panicked, the greater the chaos.

"Sister, you... "Louis tried laying a hand on Hannah to hold her back, but caught air.

She was walking towards the stranger, a solitary figure. After a moment’s hesitation, Louis followed her.

Through the iron door, Hannah seemed to be looking for something on the giant man.

It was a while before she smiled slightly, "Found it."

The girl’s voice was cheerful, like a glimmer of light even in these eerie surroundings.

The coded lock opened.

Hannah brought the answer.

As for the answer—it was hanging right on the monster—his number.

The stranger had probably previously been a doctor at the hospital. His transformation was probably due to that fire.

In the subsequent game, everyone was forced to split up.

Louis took the initiative to find Hannah and propose an alliance.

Hannah glanced behind him at Tiffany Lynch.
