Chapter 568: Chapter 568: Afraid of the Dark
In the darkness, Louis Snyder stopped in his tracks, "If you are really scared, just stay where you are."
He is now eager to determine Hannah’s location and has lost patience with Tiffany Lynch.
Tiffany, of course, was reluctant to be left alone. Who knows what monsters might pop out here.
With no other choice, Tiffany clenched her teeth and kept up with Louis.
On the other hand, Hannah was still fumbling through the darkness for clues.
She felt particularly at ease in the dark.
She even found time to ask, "Hayes Edwards, didn’t you say you were brave when you came in?"
Hayes muttered, "I am brave, but that doesn’t mean I’m not afraid of the dark."
That was a statement no one could refute.
Hannah felt an envelope in the corner, without even opening it.
"Why have you suddenly gone quiet, Hannah Winter?"
Hayes Edwards quietly opened his eyes slightly.
The hall was pitch dark, only the camera in the corner was flashing a few red dots, and one could vaguely see many people around.
The girls were all in the middle, with Ray Lee, who stood out awkwardly among them.
When there was nothing going on, he was forward, but now his true nature was revealed just by turning off the lights.
He even pushed the girl next to him away, yelling, "Step aside, step aside, let me in!"
"Who are you, and what are you shoving for? Can’t you see we’re all here!"
"Why the noise? Wasn’t it you girls who were yelling blindly, cause of which, I have to hide here!"
Ray Lee’s words angered the live-stream viewers.
——Is Ray Lee even a man? How dare he push someone?
——I can’t believe it, fans come claim your cowardly and rude brother!
——I feel for Tiffany Lynch, Louis Snyder wanted to look for clues, but she held him back because she was scared.
——If anyone’s brave, it’s Hannah Winter, dragging a scaredy-cat Hayes Edwards to look for clues.
——Is Hannah Winter really not afraid of the dark? Or is she faking it? Just to attract attention, right?
——Those talking about showing-off, can you even fake not being afraid of the dark? Have the haters run out of things to critique?
Hannah had already opened the envelope in the dark, but unfortunately, given the dim light, she could not make out the writing on the paper.
Suddenly, someone else called out, "The place we just entered has an extra door that is locked. We can’t go back the way we came, and—there’s someone outside the door."
The last sentence was uttered tremulously.
Nobody dared to scream this time, for fear of alerting the person outside the door.
Ray Lee, who had just contemplated running out the door, now pushed through several people to squeeze inside, no longer caring about his manners or image.
Sunny Lee was directly pushed to the ground, her knee hit the chair, and she couldn’t help but cry out in pain.
Hearing the sound, Lucy Taylor immediately rushed over to help her up, "Ray Lee, are you even a man? Can’t you apologize after knocking someone down?"
Ray Lee swallowed, his face a mix of anger and embarrassment, "I didn’t do it on purpose, it’s just too dark to see clearly."
But Lucy didn’t buy it, "It’s already crowded here, yet you insisted on squeezing in. I’ve never seen a man as cowardly as you. Apologize now!"
Ray looked uncomfortable, "It’s not a big deal, is it necessary?"
The commotion soon caught the attention of a few people. Tiffany looked over and tried to diffuse the situation, "Let it go, it’s probably too dark around and we didn’t notice. There’s no need to hold onto this."
