Chapter 544: Chapter 544: Which One Are You Referring To
The person inside was Jackie Qualls.
The man had probably just taken a shower and was only wearing a loose deep-gray pajama, with a white towel draped over his neck. His hair was still dripping water, and when he saw the person standing outside the door, a light seemed to flash in his eyes.
"Hannah?"
Hannah herself was taken aback, looking up at the room number — 609.
She must have just woken up and was still a bit groggy, mistaken the floor level.
"Sorry, wrong room."
As she turned to leave, Jackie came after her, his eyes landing on a red mark on the girl’s neck.
Despite having acted for many years, he was not oblivious.
Even if he had already suspected in his heart, the reality was still more shocking than he imagined. He tugged at the corner of his mouth, a bitter smile on his face, "Did you take the day off to see him?"
Hannah turned her head, looking at the man in front of her, "I met a lot of people today, which one are you referring to?"
Jackie was taken aback, then shook his head, "Nothing, good night."
He didn’t even have the courage to continue questioning.
He could only watch helplessly as the elevator doors closed, his fatigue pinching his brow.
Returning to the room.
Hannah reached into her pocket and pulled out Jinlian, throwing him onto the bed.
Falling hard onto the soft pillow, Jinlian was left dizzy.
But before he could regain his senses, a fluffy ball was stuffed into his arms.
It was a little pink plush kitten.
It was squinting its eyes, smiling happily.
Jinlian was a little stupefied, holding the kitten and looking at Hannah, "Master, what is this?"
Hannah was washing her face and busy doing her skincare routine, she took a moment to reply, "It’s a girlfriend Arnold Simmons got for you."
You have to say Arnold Simmons is really thoughtful; just seeing her take Jinlian out once, he realized that Hannah might like these plush toys.
Of course, it could also be that he despised Jinlian’s goofy appearance and masculinity and thought of getting her a replacement.
All the toys he bought were different in size, but they had one thing in common - they were all females.
Jinlian was stunned, "Girl...girlfriend?"
Hannah nodded, "If you are not satisfied, I can take you to Arnold Simmons’ place next time so you can pick what you like. If you don’t like cats, dogs can be an option too. There are many sizes for you to choose."
Jinlian blinked and slowly reacted. He climbed from the bed to the table and sat in front of Hannah with the kitten beside him, "Master, I’m not a dog."
Hannah didn’t answer, she just turned the mirror in her hand to face Jinlian.
In the mirror, it clearly reflected a miniature version of a Samoyed, his eyes were white, his head was a little bald, he looked silly.
Jinlian lifted his paw, and the dog in the mirror did the same. When he grinned, so did the dog in the mirror.
It really was him.
"How...how did I become so ugly?"
Jinlian couldn’t believe it.
His once proud fluffy furred appearance was starting to bald?!
If Dalang from next door saw this, he would definitely laugh at him, right?
Hannah patted Jinlian’s head to console him, "It’s okay, it’s just fur shedding. It will eventually grow back."
Feeling aggrieved, Jinlian clung onto Hannah’s hand, weeping, "Master, I can’t go bald!"
Hannah pulled her hand back and pushed the same-sized kitten into Jinlian’s arms, "You’re a grown-up dog now, you have to learn to confide in your girlfriend, not in others."
Jinlian cried even harder.
Tears were pouring profusely from his eyes.
By the time he had cried enough and looked up, he saw his own reflection in the mirror again and couldn’t help but cry some more.
