Chapter 523: Chapter 523: Nothing Special Without You

A gust of air conditioning hit her, and she couldn’t help but complain, "It’s unbearably hot outside."

The skin care she just had done left her skin as silky as sheep milk, and it felt like torture to be under the sun even for a while.

In the car, the man put down the documents in his hand, and stretched out his hands towards the people outside the car, "Aren’t you getting in?"

His voice was deep and coupled with the cool air in the car, it was particularly soothing and pleasant.

Hannah could not help but scream out in surprise, rushing towards him and cried out in a coquettish voice, "Arnold, how come you are here?"

The car door closed, completely isolating the scorching air outside.

His large hand landed on the delicate skin of the girl, dispelling the traces of summer heat, "I came to see you."

The girl looked up at him, her eyes bright as the stars in the sky. She muttered, "But didn’t you say that it’s a special period and it’s inconvenient to go out?"

She pouted, her face flushed from the heat, looking adorably delicate.

Arnold held her in his arms, leaned down and gave her a light kiss, "Well, you are special."

The car started, the hustle and bustle outside the window had nothing to do with the inside of the car, only the yellow flowers of rapeseed became the most beautiful backdrop.

She bent her legs, rested her head on the man’s chest, her hands weakly draped over the man’s shoulders. Her voice was soft, "Mr. Simmons, it seems like you’ve been saying some sweet words recently."

The man responded softly, his head lowered to smell the faint fragrance in the girl’s hair, like a blooming flower under the moonlight.

"You love it."

The girl couldn’t help but laugh, tears welled up in her eyes. Just as she was about to wipe them off, he caught her wrist.

The man bent his head, his cool thin lips imprinted on the edge of the girl’s eye, gently rubbing it, moving downwards slowly.

Just about to touch the red lips, Hannah turned her face to the side, so his lips fell on her neck instead.

A little ticklish, the breathing was as hot as a glowing branding iron, touching her skin, with naked possessiveness and obsession.

She turned her head, locking eyes with man’s exceptionally deep ones. She didn’t miss the deep understanding mixed with scarlet in his eyes, like a beast in a cage itching to spring free.

Dangerous, caught in a web.

She held the man, her voice soft, yet her words direct, "Arnold, what are you thinking?"

Her eyes twinkled with mischief.

Such a pure gaze, where one could easily see the bottom, was what made him anxious.

In her eyes were the sun and the moon, the stars, and his own figure, but... he wasn’t really there.

It was like a mirror that even though it reflected everything in the world, it all just passed by.

The brighter her smile, the darker he felt inside.

"Do you regret following me?"

Hannah was taken aback, then broke into a smile, "You’ve forgotten, I was the one who seduced you first, wasn’t I?"

Lust at first sight. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Arnold took it with good humor, shook his head and chuckled lightly. His broad hand gently sliding on girl’s delicate jaw, his eyes deep, "It wasn’t seduction, it was..."

The rest of the words melted away between their lips.

Silent possession.

After all, they still had a lifetime to fritter away, there was no rush.

He could wait.

When Hannah woke up, she was already back in her apartment.

She had changed into sleepwear, and the air conditioning was on at just the right temperature, though it wasn’t her usual 18 degrees.

She liked the feeling of warmth and comfort that a thick blanket gave, but Arnold thought that was too cold and never allowed her to be in such a chilling environment.

In some ways, he was as stubborn as an elder who values health above all else.

"You’re awake?" Jack Stewart walked in from outside, wearing a pink lounge suit from some unknown place, and his face was thickly covered with a green mask.
