Chapter 520: Chapter 520: Can’t be Worse than Her

Her face wore a brooding expression.

The manager next to her did not dare to speak. Lately, Tiffany had been acting stranger and stranger.

Even though her temper was getting better, she always gave off a gloomy feeling and seemed to be spiraling towards extremes.

Not daring to ask what was wrong, the manager tentatively mentioned, "The leading man in this drama is Jackie Qualls, a prominent actor. If you have any interests, you should try to get close and collect some insight. Spending time with him could benefit your career in the long run."

After all, Jackie was a successful actor, with profound connections in the entertainment industry.

Tiffany was stunned for a moment, then looked away, saying nothing other than, "I know."

The first thought that crossed her mind when seeing the hot search was whether George had secretly given Hannah some resources. But considering the close relationship between Jackie and Hannah in the production team, she started speculating something else.

Being a runner-up while obtaining such incredible film resources before her was something she would not accept lying down.

She turned her head towards her manager and asked, "Are there any other roles in this drama? I can’t have a lower status than Hannah."

Hearing this, the manager hesitated, "Yes, there are. The leading female role is still open with many previously competing for it. But after Hannah was announced as the antagonist, it seems the script was adjusted. Everyone got cold feet about being overshadowed by Hannah."

The manager took a stealthy glance at Tiffany to gauge her reaction before continuing, "Actually, Director Lee was not entirely satisfied with the other candidates. He didn’t feel any of them could play the fragile innocence of the leading female role."

Tiffany pondered, "Are we certain that the leading lady’s role gets more screen time compared to the antagonist?"

The manager affirmed, "That’s for sure. This is intended to be a female-centric drama. If you’re interested, you can try out. But Director Lee declared that everyone, regardless of the size of their role, has to audition. If you fail to pass the audition, I’m afraid it might have a negative impact."

Undoubtedly, there would be a new round of scandalous reports surfacing online.

These days, these marketing accounts treated any news involving both Hannah and Tiffany as a pot of gold; if there was no news, they would make it up themselves.

If both of them ended up in the same drama, it would undoubtedly lead to a bloody battle of public opinion.

However, the manager had absolute faith in Tiffany’s acting skills. After all, she was a child star, and she certainly would not be outperformed by Hannah.

Upon hearing that she had to audition, a look of irritation crossed Tiffany’s face. Frowning, she said disdainfully, "It’s so much trouble. I refuse to believe that Hannah got her role by auditioning."

The manager sighed, "Regardless of whether she did or not, her role is set in stone. Consider it carefully. I’m not worried about your acting abilities, rather if anything unexpected happens. Director Lee is pretty eccentric."

She subtly suggested Tiffany talk to George about this.

After all, Prideful Entertainment had the backing of the River Clan, so even Richard had to give them due respect.

Plus, Tiffany herself was not short of qualifications. Thus, this arrangement seemed a sure thing.

Tiffany seemed persuaded and gave a nod, "Okay, I’ll call George later. You can start preparing the press release. When the news breaks out, I surely can’t be outdone by Hannah." 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Manager: "No problem, rest assured."
