Chapter 503: Chapter 503: Ask Her to Meet
The room was back to normal, with the golden lotus looking exhausted after being toyed with. She collapsed onto the table.
She didn’t even have the strength to lift a claw.
Seeing Hannah return, she wailed as if wronged, "You’re not human, you treated me like this!"
Busy with her computer, Hannah replied offhandedly, "I’m not human in the first place."
The Golden Lotus cried even harder.
After a while, the crying stopped.
Clambering up from the table, rubbing her eyes, the Golden Lotus seemed to disbelieve the news she saw, "Boss, the Empire Daily mentioned that the wanderers seem to have been chased away?"
Hannah didn’t react, but seemed unaccustomed to the face in the mirror, "You’re blind."
Scratching her head awkwardly, Golden Lotus admitted, "Alright, they were not chased away exactly. The Empire Daily reported that the commander was attacked and felled by the wanderers and was unconscious. It didn’t mention why the wanderers retreated."
The Golden Lotus sighed at this.
As much as she didn’t want to admit it, the Empire’s royalty had been declining year after year.
Hannah did not turn around but asked, "Did he die?"
Blinking, the Golden Lotus said, "Who? The commander? He just passed out."
Although just unconscious, this was a major blow to the royal family. After all, their strongest member was down, evident of their decline.
Life is not easy, the Golden Lotus sighed.
Hannah paused while applying her lipstick, her smile filled with a hint of malice, "Good that he didn’t die, I can settle the score with him later."
"Boss, do you have a grudge against the commander?" Golden Lotus ran over, looking up at Hannah, "The commander is very powerful, you probably can’t beat him."
Hannah snapped her lipstick case shut and tossed it on the table, "If he’s really powerful, he wouldn’t be critically injured and unconscious."
The Golden Lotus was a little puzzled...
It seemed to make sense...
But why did it feel like her boss was gloating?
*
Hannah had disappeared for a whole day and night, and when she finally turned on her phone, a bunch of missed calls and messages came flooding in.
Most of them were from Jack Stewart, and some from the show production team.
Perhaps unable to wait for her to pick up, they sent text messages and even emails.
The texts basically asked her to cooperate with the follow-up filming of the music group, with a tone of impatience.
The email was even more straightforward.
A lawyer’s letter.
The letter warned Hannah that since she had previously signed a contract, she must comply with all their activity requests.
Truth be told, without Hannah’s popularity, even with the online hate aside, the girl group’s viewership would be almost halved.
The formation of the group would become a joke.
Hannah didn’t care and simply skipped past.
The last call was from George River.
Hannah thought for a while and decided to call back. It was picked up after only a few rings.
A cold order came from the other side, asking her to meet him.
Before she could answer, he hung up.
Still as arrogant as ever.
"Boss, are you going out?"
Golden Lotus squatting on the coffee table watched as Hannah dressed up, heading towards the door.
Hannah bent down to put on her high heels, draping her hair over her shoulders with diamond earrings dangling from her earlobes, "I’m going out for a bit, stay home, don’t run around."
Golden Lotus jumped down from the table and ran over to Hannah, "Boss, aren’t you taking me with you?"
