Chapter 500: Chapter 500: Isn’t This A Bit Unreasonable?
Oliver Taylor was filled with indignation.
He had witnessed many incidents of negligence and deceit before, but never so brazenly.
It had gotten to the point where even he, a carefree playboy, couldn’t turn a blind eye.
Hannah, however, didn’t seem to care. She turned her head to gaze at the night outside the window and asked, "Any news yet?"
Her voice, scattered by the wind, bore a tinge of desolation.
Oliver hated to break it to her, "Uncle River’s phone is still unreachable. I asked around and they confirmed he had boarded that flight."
The chances of surviving a plane crash are incredibly low.
They should have told him when he called, Uncle Arnold had been swamped with work these past few days, but even so, he had taken the earliest possible flight back home as soon as he finished.
Probably, he wanted to be back for Miss Winter’s debut...
Who could have foretold such a tragedy?
Oliver tried to offer some reassurance, "Things may not be as they seem, with Uncle Arnold’s sharp mind, there’s no way he would just..."
The words died in his throat as if they were forbidden.
Oliver couldn’t bring himself to say it.
Hannah closed the car window and with her eyes closed, whispered, "Let’s head back to the Mid-hill Courtyard first."
Oliver stepped on the gas, "Alright."
Upon reaching the Courtyard, Oliver dropped Hannah off at the entrance and left without asking any further questions about her visit.
With Uncle River’s accident, he too had numerous matters to handle.
Most likely, the Simmons Clan would be thrown into chaos tomorrow.
After all, those people had been hoping for Uncle River’s downfall for quite some time. But they will soon realize, without Uncle River, the Simmons Clan would be an empty shell.

Hannah had visited Arnold’s Mid-hill Courtyard several times, but this was the only time no one came out to greet her.
The room was pitch dark, with the cold white moonlight seeping through the floor-to-ceiling window on her right, adding to the desolation.
Hannah hurried over but managed to bring the Golden Lotus with her.
The journey had kept the Golden Lotus somewhat disoriented.
It was not until she placed it on the table that it spun around in confusion before plopping down on the tabletop.
With a spinning head and aching rear, it spoke in a weak voice, "Master, you...urgh... what do...urgh...you need from me?"
Hannah pulled out a chair and sat across from the Golden Lotus, "Have there been any updates in the backstage plot?"
The Golden Lotus was bewildered, "What backstage plot?"
Hannah revealed no emotion, her eyes remained transparent, but her words carried a cold tone, "The plot involving the villain."
The Golden Lotus blinked its eyes, turned its back, lifted its furry butt to start searching.
It didn’t take long to find the answer, " There haven’t been updates. The latest plot was when George River went to the villain’s company for cooperation, got tricked by him, and even got called a fool."
Haha, this villain is quite a character, no wonder the master is interested.
Hannah frowned, "Is that all?"
"Yes." The Golden Lotus nodded, sounding a bit disappointed, "Ever since the Space Live Broadcast got shelved, there hasn’t been an update in a long time. Even if there was an update, no one would watch, so I didn’t pay attention."
"Master, did something happen?"
The Golden Lotus rarely showed any signs of intelligence.
Hannah didn’t answer, only stated, "I need to use your backstage programming."
The Golden Lotus’s eyes widened, suddenly feeling a bit shy, "This...that’s not appropriate, is it?"
Each Artificial Intelligence has its own backend programming, which could be compared to the most...ahem... private parts of a human body.
