Chapter 492: Chapter 492 Announcing Rankings

The producer took a harsh final drag of his cigarette, tossed the butt to the ground and crushed it with his foot, "Damn, let’s take a gamble. If I make a fortune from this, I’ll quit this fucking line of work!"

Money talks. Once the money is in place, the wheels start moving.

So far, only the top two and the final ninth place have not been announced.

Lucy Taylor took third place.

Though it was a bit off from her initial anticipation of coming in first, she was satisfied.

The only thing that dissatisfied her was that her vote count was lower than that of Tiffany Lynch.

Many people were congratulating Lucy. After expressing her gratitude, Lucy walked up to Hannah, opened her arms for a hug, her eyes welled up with tears, "Aren’t you going to congratulate me?"

Hannah gently smiled, hugged her, "Congratulations."

—The bond between these two sisters is so touching!

—You must walk the flowery path together, we look forward to your bickering!

Head lowered, Lucy couldn’t hold back a couple of sobs, softly she said, "Hannah Winter, you have to get me the ’C’ on debut, hear me?"

There was no doubt that Tiffany Lynch had bought her votes, but that’s how talent shows work; in the face of money, any dreams can be crushed.

Hannah patted her on the back, "That’s enough, cry any more and your makeup will be ruined."

Lucy Taylor: "Who cares about their face as much as you do, I want to cry!"

Although she said so, Lucy managed to hold back her tears.

—Did they start arguing again just now?

—Watching these two sisters "argue" is enough to keep me entertained for a day.

—Watching them reminds me of my best friend and me, always giving each other a hard time, but we care deeply for each other.

There were only three seats left at the top of the pyramid.

The top two were basically already decided, the rest only had eyes for the last seat.

Many had already broken down in tears, but for the sake of the camera, they tried to put on a smile.

Jackie Qualls stood in the center of the stage, his gentle demeanor remained the same, only today it emanated an air of aloofness and indifference.

He announced calmly, "The ninth place, with a total of sixty-five million, forty-seven thousand, three hundred and fifty-seven votes —Sunny Lee."

As his voice trailed off, applause filled the air, all cameras focusing on Sunny Lee, who was squatting on the ground, unable to hold back her tears.

—Sunny Lee is so inspirational, as a trainee from a small company, she’s worked her way up on her own!

—From the initial ranking 78 till the ninth place now, I feel like crying!

—Even non-fans are moved by watching her.

Walking along the long aisle in tears, the moment the microphone was handed over, Sunny Lee immediately started speaking, "The person I’m most, most, most grateful to for making it this far, is Hannah... If it wasn’t for her, I would have given up a long time ago. I’m just an ordinary person, with average singing and dancing skills, but I’m very lucky..."

"...I’m really lucky to have met Hannah, and I’m really grateful."

—Oh gosh, isn’t Hannah Winter really popular?

—Sunny is the best! Keep going!

—So, this leaves the top two, right?

—It’s pretty much a given, based on Hannah’s previous vote count, if she’s not the first, it would be a slap in the face for the show’s production.

—No one else can take the first place but Hannah!

The barrage started rolling fanatically, even the audience on set were all chanting Hannah’s name, one call after another, drowning out all other voices.
