Chapter 468: Chapter 468: Can’t Help

She really had managed everything all by herself.

In the span of two days, she hadn’t even had time for meals and all that was left in her room were some opened packages of cookies.

"So, is our Miss Taylor satisfied this time?"

Lucy Taylor turned around, just in time to see Hannah leaning against the door frame, a trace of fatigue flicker across her delicate face.

As soon as she finished speaking, Hannah couldn’t help but cover her mouth to yawn.

The past two days indeed had been quite exhausting.

She had been pulling all-nighters for two days, every second of it packed with guilt over what this was doing to her face.

Staying awake all night, she was losing hair and breaking out in pimples.

These really weren’t things a fairy should be doing.

"Hannah Winter." Lucy Taylor’s voice suddenly grew hoarse, her eyes filled with emotions that were hard to identify.

There was joy, sadness, and most of it because of Hannah.

She stood up and walked over to Hannah.

A quick glance downward would reveal a pretty, porcelain-like face — the face that had looked even paler after two days of hard work, almost as if it were the first snow about to melt under the morning sun.

So white and delicate.

Hannah cornered her lips up, "So, are you so moved by me that you’re about to cry?"

Sunny Lee and the other two girls had started crying the moment Hannah walked out of the room.

These two days had been an ordeal for all of them.

They trusted Hannah unconditionally, didn’t dare to disturb her, yet every fluttering second was full of worry.

At times, they felt helpless, why couldn’t they help Hannah, why did she have to face it alone. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Lucy Taylor moved her lips, yet, in front of Hannah’s smiling face, she couldn’t muster any sentimental words.

Looking away, she simply said, "You have dark circles under your eyes."

After a moment of silence, Lucy Taylor thought Hannah had taken offense, wondering if her recent comment was too harsh.

After all, Hannah was the one who cared most about her face.

But when she looked back, Hannah was already gone.

She turned to Sunny Lee and the others, "Where’s Hannah?"

Sunny pointed to the door, "Hannah said she had to go to apply some face masks, and she will settle accounts with you after she has well-rested."

These two, always at odds yet fond of each other.

Sunny couldn’t help but laugh, and that instantly lightened the atmosphere.

Indeed, having to sit and wait while the others practiced was no pleasant experience.

Lucy Taylor picked up the scattered papers all over the floor that Hannah had left behind, unable to suppress a smile on her face, "Just let her be."

Having spent nearly two days composing a song, they were left with only a day and two nights to rehearse dance moves and practice.

The time was still tight.

While they thought the dance steps would have to be simplified due to time constraints, Hannah had already considered that.

Even though she had refused James Landon’s help during the songwriting process, he still lent a hand during the final editing stages.

Violet Lee too had started preparing dance moves as soon as she received the music demo.

She had always believed in Hannah and was truly thankful to her for helping her find her own shine in the show.

All preparations were in order, and it was time to put their teamwork to the test.

Instead of rehearsing on the stage like the rest, Hannah’s group chose to stay back in the practice room and practice diligently.

Once the thick curtains were drawn, no nosy passerby could take a peek inside.

All they knew was that James Landon and Violet Lee had been lending their hand, which was enough to make several other contestants jealous.
