Chapter 466: Chapter 466: Don’t Pretend in Front of Me
Hannah Winter?
She dares to contest with her for first place.
The chatter among the girls grew louder, all gathering around the entrance to Hannah’s group’s practice room.
Tiffany Lynch stood right in the middle, her posture as proud as a peacock. She occasionally said a few nice words about Hannah, only to intentionally stir up resentment against her.
After all, Hannah had already stolen the limelight in the show. If she really came up with a song, simply having the ability to compose one herself would be enough for her to attract followers. She could also break the stereotype that idols are talentless.
Just as they were talking, Lucy Taylor suddenly opened the door and shouted at the crowd outside, "What are you looking at? Is there anything worth looking at? If you’re so free, go brush your teeth. You don’t mind the bad breath?"
"Why do you talk like that?"
"Yeah, we also cared about you. That’s too much, isn’t it?"
"It serves them right that their music is not working out."
"Whether you’re concerned or gloat over our misfortune, you know it better in your hearts." Lucy Taylor stood in the entrance, preventing anyone from peeking inside.
Tiffany Lynch stepped forward, still maintaining her gentle smile, "Lucy, everyone is just trying to be helpful. If you need assistance in any way, we’re all here for you."
"Help us?" Lucy crossed her arms, "Can you compose songs?"
Tiffany Lynch was taken aback.
Lucy humphed, "Since you can’t compose songs, how can you help us? Are you telling me that you’re going to support us spiritually?"
Tiffany Lynch’s face remained calm, but there was a flash of anger in her eyes.
She had become more tolerant than before.
A soft whisper from her, "We’re just trying to be nice."
Yet, Lucy rejected this feigned kindness, her eyes sweeping over the crowd, "We’ve turned down Mr. Landon’s help. Do you think you could do better than him?"
James Landon has been learning music since he was a child, gifted and willing to work hard. He released his own personal album early on and, till this day, even though he’s not exactly old, he is considered a veteran in the music industry.
Not to mention, almost every single one of his songs is a masterpiece.
Otherwise, those stars wouldn’t spend a fortune to get him to compose for them.
Everyone here is merely a trainee, even their entire training duration can’t match the time James spends on songwriting; they’re naturally no match for him.
All fell silent, no one dared to speak.
After all, who dares to compare themselves with James Landon?
Even Tiffany Lynch was at a loss for words.
Lucy was satisfied, "Well then, stop crowding around here like you’re watching a show. The air isn’t circulating because of you all. Don’t you know we’re busy? Please leave."
She began to shoo everyone away, showing no courtesy.
The crowd could not justify staying, so they scattered, feeling disgruntled, all waiting to see Hannah make a fool of herself on the competition day.
Only Tiffany Lynch was left behind in the end.
Lucy looked at her, "Aren’t you leaving? Or do you plan to prepare meals for our team?"
Tiffany laughed, "I am just worried about Hannah. You don’t know her; we’ve known each other for a long time..."
"You understand her better than I do?" Lucy looked at her, "Tiffany Lynch, you don’t have to pretend in front of me, nor do you need to sow discord here. I admittedly didn’t like Hannah at first, but I despise you even more. I hate you now too. Don’t expect others to treat you nicely with all your underhanded tactics!"
Lucy held the door, ready to close it.
Seeing Tiffany Lynch’s facade finally breaking, Lucy added, "I won’t presume to say anything else, but the one you despise the most is destined to step on you in this life. You know who I’m referring to."
