Chapter 435: Chapter 435: Termination

She’d merely mentioned asking George River to persuade Hannah Winter as a show of her own magnanimity, of course she wouldn’t want the two to meet in person.

Who knows if old flames might rekindle.

When Tiffany Lynch brought up George, the editor-in-chief didn’t dare say anything more, she could only call a halt.

The staff were quite disgruntled.

The general manager of the Manor Hotel also hadn’t expected the big boss to suddenly decide to inspect their venue.

Simmons Group had many business under their umbrella, the hotel industry was just one of them, especially in recent years, the Simmons’ priority had not been here, so Arnold Simmons’ sudden arrival was undoubtedly a pleasant surprise.

The general manager earnestly introduced, "President Simmons, this is the garden we just finished constructing, later we plan to dig out the center to make an open-air pool, the few guests who have stayed with us recently have given good reviews, would you like to..."

Arnold Simmons only responded tepidly. He wasn’t cold or warm, which made the general manager uncertain about his thoughts.

The man in his exquisite dark suit, his cufflinks giving off a slight icy feel, his handsome face dark and brooding, inexplicably oppressive, making it hard to look at him directly.

This was actually the first time the general manager had truly met the current head of the Simmons family.

They had all heard about the upheaval in the Simmons family. They were initially worried that the family wouldn’t get through it and were ready to switch jobs overnight.

Who would have thought that Arnold Simmons would single-handedly revive the Simmons Group.

Thinking about it, the general manager had to admit his admiration.

They stood in the European-style building, in front of a large lawn. As it was newly constructed, many plants hadn’t been transplanted yet and the midday sun looked somewhat annoyingly dull and hot.

A somewhat noisy sound came from not too far away.

It was a magazine company busy shooting photos.

Tiffany Lynch was the first to refuse to cooperate, others followed her lead pretending to be weak, refusing to work under the hot sun.

Except for Hannah...and Lucy Taylor.

Lucy Taylor was indignant, thinking that whatever Hannah could do, she could do too.

The general manager snuck a peek at Arnold’s expression, seeing no change in him, he was hard to read and quickly explained, "They’re from a magazine company that had booked a time to come and take photos, I saw that our hotel wasn’t officially open yet, the editor-in-chief seemed sincere, so..."

He didn’t dare say the rest.

The Simmons Group has a clear rule that their hotels cannot be rented out for photo shoots. The general manager had wanted to make some money though, thinking that it wouldn’t impact the hotel as it was not yet open.

But who would have thought that Arnold Simmons would suddenly come to inspect.

Reminded of the rumors about Arnold, the general manager was panicked, his voice shaky, "If you don’t like it, I’ll ask them to leave right now."

Offending a magazine editor-in-chief is better than offending one’s boss.

He had already prepared himself for unemployment, but who knew that Arnold would simply say, "There’s no need."

Huh?

The general manager was baffled, seemingly unable to comprehend.

Arnold Simmons didn’t say anything else, he merely watched the crowd of people busy with the photo shoot.

In the center of the crowd, a girl in a uniform was particularly notable, her skin was as white as soaked in milk, even more delicate under the sunlight.

The general manager understood.

Indeed, no matter how powerful a man is, he’s still vulnerable to a beautiful woman.
