Chapter 430: Chapter 430: What does it mean?

"I thought my rankings would drop after I went off-key during yesterday’s live performance, thank God it didn’t happen."

"Going off-key isn’t a big deal, as long as fans like you, they will still love anything you do. The program team is brutal, though. They would just shoot a close-up of anyone who messes up. It’s so embarrassing."

"Oh, right, the performer with the highest direct click rate this time is Hannah Winter again, right?"

"Who else could it be?"

"I thought it would be Tiffany Lynch, she was pretty popular before."

The girl said the last sentence in a very low voice.

Tiffany Lynch was not on this bus. She was picked up by her agent early in the morning, who said they would reach the shooting site on their own, making it look all special and unapologetic.

Eager to let everyone know that she has the backing of capital.

But the power of capital can’t be ignored in these talent shows. Even if die-hard fans vote ruthlessly, as long as the capital snaps its fingers, you can be eliminated in minutes.

Someone glanced at Hannah, who was sitting in the back row, dozing off, and couldn’t help but gossip, "Do you think those rumors online are true?"

Someone next to them asked in confusion, "What rumors?"

That person hinted, "The one about Hannah Winter being kept by someone. I think it’s 80% true. Why else did we only make our debuts while Hannah Winter got the endorsement of a top-rated brand so early?"

The girl who said this was currently ranked ninth, a fairly steady middle-to-upper position. Her company had secured a debut position early on, buying the eighth spot.

Her unhappiness stemmed from her rank dropping by one because of Hannah’s sudden intrusion.

Although she had secured it, she was uncomfortable being the last of the top ranks.

The others also chimed in without lowering their voices, speaking as if they were specifically addressing Hannah.

"Well, what can we do? Some people are just born lucky, we can’t fight it."

"Lucky? I think she is willing to sleep around, who knows how many she slept with to get those resources."

Not naming names, but speaking ill of someone to their face was indeed satisfying.

A few girls couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

The girl ranked last purposely held onto Lucy Taylor’s arm in a friendly manner, "Lucy, don’t you agree?"

Lucy, unable to sleep due to the noise, pulled her arm away, "Instead of wasting time gossiping, you should tell your company to spend the money on fixing your brains rather than buying debut spots!" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

Saying that, she moved to the back to sit next to Hannah.

The previously joyful atmosphere instantly became awkward.

Nobody dared to provoke Lucy, whose company was a big deal.

So even though they were uncomfortable, they endured it and carried on chatting about other topics.

Lucy had witnessed plenty of infighting among girls during her training abroad.

Things like putting laxatives in other people’s food and stuffing their own worn socks into others’ water bottles were commonplace.

Being trainees and competitors, friendly rivalry and comparison were normal. But she had little tolerance for these shameless tricks.

Their mouths were filthier than a public restroom.

"They insult you like this, and you have no reaction?" Lucy looked at the person lazily leaning against the window next to her, feeling anxious for her.

Hannah didn’t even open her eyes, her voice lazy, "Reaction? What reaction, should I toast each of them?"
